I just read that Catholics are already favoring Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump. How can faithful followers of Jesus Christ support a candidate that is so strongly pro-abortion and in favor of everything against Christian teaching. It’s scandalous and I for one have no words to even try to explain such things. Catholics elected Barack Obama. I find this scandalous. I guess I get my rosary out tonight and pray as I request that all you do.

When we consider that only about 25% of Catholics meet their weekly mass obligation it becomes easier to understand. Most Catholics nowadays are Catholic only in name, not in action.

It is not surprising that more then half so-called Catholics are pro Hillary, pro abortion and pro homosexual marriage. When was that last time anyone heard a priest give a passionate homily about the moral decay in the country and what it really means to be Catholic? Look at what Jesuit universities promote. No one is being challenged to stand up for Catholic doctrine. The average mass is just to make everyone feel comfortable so they return with a contribution each week. The Catholic church is a failure in teaching what it stands for. And so goes our country with it.

The reason it’s startling for Trump to toss out the precedent of the peaceful transition of power is not because he has any fangs if he loses. It’s because if he wins, he’s signalling that he won’t leave peacefully. And once you’re commander in chief (and a potentially popular one with the military), you don’t necessarily *have* to step down, now do you?

The reason the Bishops are for more immigrants illegal or not is the money they get from the Federal government in their coffers, the more people they help, the more they get. It has nothing to do about moral issues. Many of the American Bishops are today’s pharisees.

The bishops’ and cardinals’ failures are legion: Not only are they destroying the Faithful’s dedication with their coverups and foot-dragging on clerical sex abuse and homosexuality, but their lack of ferocity in opposing the murders of God’s infants has caused widespread depression and alarm. We have not a single martyr to the cause of life, an amazing development, and we hear nothing of vehemence from the portly cardinals and smartly dressed monsignors. 60 million infant lives snuffed out and we hear little or nothing except the falling snow and ominous silence from the bishops. 2002 was a trying year for me when the abuse stories broke, but now it is a daily slog to say my prayers and keep the faith.

Our so called governor is an absolute disgrace of a man. Let’s see, I guess he wants to join his father in that terrible place of eternal separation from Our Lord. How can his live in mistress even stand him. She had a tough time with cancer and is she even thankful ?. Guess not. She is wealthy in her own right. She doesn’t need him. He is most disgraceful since he let all of his n.y. citizens know that we are not wanted here if we don’t have his values and desires for the people. Getting to the point where I need to offer up to Our Lord that he aids and assists me in praying for his kind. Diabolical and demonic is not enough to describe him. He is heading towards perdition and of course wants to take as many souls as he can to hell. I am disgusted at n.y.c. and any New Yorkers that vote and keep voting for this trash. He is Ipso facto excommunicated for what he does. That should also be affirmed by public excomm….by our prelates. That will probably never happen. If it does you will hear me screaming with joy no matter where you live. It will be a spiritual event we will all feel. Let us pray for each other…p.j.

Our daily version offers only some of what we publish weekly in print. To take advantage of everything The Wanderer publishes, we encourage you to su
bscribe to our flagship weekly print edition, which is mailed every Friday or, if you want to view it in its entirety online, you can subscribe to the E-edition, which is a replica of the print edition.

Our daily edition includes: a selection of material from recent issues of our print edition, news stories updated daily from renowned news sources, access to archives from The Wanderer from the past 10 years, available at a minimum charge (this will be expanded as time goes on). Also: regularly updated features where we go back in time and highlight various columns and news items covered in The Wanderer over the past 150 years. And: a comments section in which your remarks are encouraged, both good and bad, including suggestions.

We encourage you to become a daily visitor to our site. If you appreciate our site, tell your friends. As Catholics we must band together to rediscover our faith and share it with the world if we are to effectively counter a society whose moral culture seems to have no boundaries and a government whose rapidly extending reach threatens to extinguish the rights of people of faith to practice their religion (witness the HHS mandate). Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.

Catholic, conservative, orthodox, and loyal to the Magisterium have been this journal’s hallmarks for five generations. God willing, our message will continue well into this century and beyond.
