Simple Question for the Bishops and all Leadership in The Catholic Church . . . DO YOU SUPPORT THESE MEN OF THE TRUTH?

September 5, 2020 Frontpage Comments Off on Simple Question for the Bishops and all Leadership in The Catholic Church . . . DO YOU SUPPORT THESE MEN OF THE TRUTH?

JOSEPH MATT – Publisher, The Wanderer Bishop Strickland – Fr. Altman There is no grey area here. There is no in between. As Catholics if we do not stand with these men, we are participating in and propagating the evil that is engulfing our society and our Church today. It is time the Hierarchy fall into line behind these two men of courage and faith. Given the gravity of this battle between good and evil, silence is not an option. SPEAK UP BISHOPS!  To take issue with the words of Fr. Altman is to take issue with the TRUTH.  Bishop Strickland is demonstrating true Catholic leadership and should be applauded for his courageous support of his fellow cleric, Fr. Altman,…Continue Reading

“Pro-Life” Never Trumpers Endorse Abortion On Demand

September 5, 2020 Frontpage Comments Off on “Pro-Life” Never Trumpers Endorse Abortion On Demand

By CHRISTOPHER MANION Mona Charen, who worked in the White House for Nancy Reagan, now has a syndicated column carried by a paper here in the Shenandoah Valley.Which is typical. The paper’s editor, recognizing our area’s conservative character, “balances” the copious left-wing op-eds with “conservatives” who just happen to detest Donald Trump. So this week, Charen’s title was, well, puzzling: “Why this pro-life conservative is voting for Biden.”“I have been pro-life my entire adult life,” Charen writes. “I haven’t changed.”Then why vote for the most pro-abortion presidential ticket in history“It’s wrong to take innocent life,” she sighs. “But other things are immoral, too. It’s also wrong to swindle people, to degrade and demonize, to incite violence, to bully, and while we’re…Continue Reading

The Unity And Trinity Of God

BY JOE SIXPACK In AD 177, St. Cecilia was accused of being a Christian during one of the great Roman persecutions, and she was taken before the prefect. The pagan prefect’s threats against Cecilia failed to weaken her love for Christ. Answering his threats, Cecilia said, “Do you know that I’m a bride of my Lord Jesus Christ?Cecilia’s answer infuriated the prefect, so he sentenced her to death by suffocation. She was placed day and night in a hot air bath, heated seven times its usual temperature. Reminiscent of the three Israelites that King Nebuchadnezzar had tossed into the fiery furnace (Daniel 3), the heat never bothered the saint’s body at all.Since Cecilia couldn’t be killed in the heated bath,…Continue Reading

Potential Gun Dangers, Political Predicaments, Arpaio Election Loss Among Arizona News

By DEXTER DUGGAN PHOENIX — Two pieces of politics from the not-too-distant past reappeared here while the virtual Republican National Convention began in late August far to the east. One of the pieces was a five-year-old news report on a liberal activist who learned a lesson about potential firearms dangers existing for police. The other piece was about some opportunists and other Republicans who don’t mind getting on board with left-wing Democrats. On August 24 blogger Fr. John Zuhlsdorf (wdtprs.com) posted a five-year old video from Fox 10 Phoenix, KSAZ-TV, showing a local civil-rights activist, Rev. Jarrett Maupin, accepting an invitation to participate in a use-of-force training by the local Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. The previous month in 2015, the television station recalled,…Continue Reading

By FR. RICHARD D. BRETON JR. (Editor’s Note: Fr. Richard D. Breton Jr. is a priest of the Diocese of Norwich, Conn. He is currently the parochial vicar of St. Andrew Parish in Colchester and St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Lebanon. He received his BA in religious studies and his MA in dogmatic theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Cromwell, Conn.) + + Over the last few months the world has been spiraling into what seems like total chaos. During this spiraling chaos, society has undergone a kind of transformation. This transformation has led people to forget the fundamental values of who we are as Catholics. In some instances, we can find ourselves caught up as participants…Continue Reading

Transsexuals Gain Two Temporary Court Victories

August 31, 2020 Frontpage Comments Off on Transsexuals Gain Two Temporary Court Victories

By DEACON MIKE MANNO, JD In the legal wars to make transgenderism mainstream, conservatives received a couple of legal setbacks recently when two federal judges blocked conservative-backed initiatives from taking effect. In Idaho, Judge David Nye temporarily blocked a state law that prohibits transgender girls — boys who are switching — to compete in girls’ and women’s sports. And in New York, Judge Frederick Block similarly blocked the Trump administration’s new HHS rules which protected doctors and hospitals from being forced to provide transgender surgery, and confine the definition of “sex” to exclude gender identity. In his ruling the judge cited the recently decided Supreme Court case which included gender identity within the definition of sex in employment discrimination cases. In the…Continue Reading

While Dems’ Zones Ablaze In August . . . Trump’s Republican Showcase Brings Pro-Lifers In From The Cold

By DEXTER DUGGAN Although many of the Hollywood fantasyland’s stars give their best to boost the national Democratic Party’s unhinged agenda, and not only during its election-year convention, Donald Trump’s Republican National Convention awarded starring roles to ordinary Americans and their goals.Notably for pro-lifers, saving preborn babies from butchery was treated by Trump’s virtual convention planners as the praiseworthy effort it is, not something best hushed up down in the basement. For how many years had Republican leadership sought pro-lifers’ votes while treating their courage as almost too embarrassing to be around? No longer.Anyway, the basement’s already full with Dem Joe Biden, his eldercare necessities, his written reminders to himself about who and where he is, his decades-old memories, and…Continue Reading

Pro-Lifers Shine At GOP Convention

August 29, 2020 Frontpage Comments Off on Pro-Lifers Shine At GOP Convention

By CHRISTOPHER MANION After the most depressing and brain-dead Democrat convention ever, America needed a break. We got it when the GOP delivered a powerful week that was solidly founded on the defense of the unborn. The most riveting moments featured two uncommon women who related their vivid experiences focused on the realities of life and death. On Tuesday night, Abby Johnson, who had served for eight years as the director of a Planned Parenthood abortuary, painted a stunning picture of what abortion is really all about.“For most people who consider themselves pro-life,” Johnson said, “abortion is abstract. They can’t even conceive of the barbarity. They don’t know about the ‘products of conception room’ in abortion clinics where infant corpses are…Continue Reading

Why Pray?

August 28, 2020 Frontpage Comments Off on Why Pray?

BY JOE SIXPACK “Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” (Matt. 7:7-11).People have asked me many times why they should bother praying when God never…Continue Reading
