Regardless Of 2016 Election Result . . . Most Significant Performer Could Be Citizen Journalists

November 7, 2016 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

The most significant performer in the U.S. election campaign of 2016 probably isn’t defiant Donald Trump or outrageous Hillary Clinton.
Instead, inquisitive citizen journalists dug up defining stories that shoved their way into the headlines when the dominant media would have preferred to keep them buried.
Recent months in the campaign would have looked, and been, drastically different if a secrets-spilling outsider like WikiLeaks hadn’t been doing its remarkable work exposing the high and mighty busily engaged in their routine down and dirty tasks that covertly but powerfully shape the way we live, even against our will.
“Citizen journalism” in this electronic age is done by restless people not content with the narrow, biased news budget produced by the putative professionals whose squint sees events in a pretty uniformly left-wing way.
Just one example: Is it news that the nation’s largest abortion provider produces more profits for itself by harvesting the organs of the defenseless babies it aborts? Not until citizen journalists presented their findings.
The year before his shocking premature death during the last presidential cycle of 2012, the rambunctious, inspiring Andrew Breitbart talked to Sean Hannity in terms that perfectly describe the corrupt dominant media doing all they can to promote corrupt left-wing Democrat Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential candidacy.
On April 18, 2011, Breitbart told the Fox News Hannity program that “we’re going to take down the mainstream media. I mean, look — explain to me why James O’Keefe or Lila Rose or some of these other heroes of the new media come to me in my basement, instead of going to Katie Couric, NBC or ABC.
“Because they know what they are exposing is corruption that is left-of-center corruption, so they come to a guy in a basement,” Breitbart continued.
“I say, we are going to expose that the media won’t cover this story, because they’re part of what I call the Democrat-media complex, the natural alliance of the Democratic Party, liberal politics in the mainstream media.”
James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas (projectveritasaction.com) has added recent powerful material against the Democrat corruption machine by documenting its intentional incitement of violence and vote fraud against Republicans.
Were the dominant media sympathetic to conservatives instead, they’d use revelations like O’Keefe’s to batter the Democrats into a pulp incapable of making a political peep for three decades. But because these media are on left-wing Democrats’ side, and indeed conspire secretly with them, they do everything possible to minimize and avoid such revelations. And being a left-wing Democrat with insider clout is even more helpful to a political career.
No doubt self-proclaimed, erratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders sets journalists’ hearts aflutter. But, as WikiLeaks showed earlier this year, strong-arm Hillary had the supposedly neutral Democratic National Committee helping to manipulate events to steal the presidential nomination from charismatic Sanders.
Even when dominant media unearth a story, it’s often up to others to push for results. In early March 2015 The New York Times revealed that Clinton had conducted her secretary of state email business through an unsecure private server. Not only did this expose classified information to hostile foreign agents but also left no record for the U.S. government of what she was up to.
It turned out Hillary and husband Bill engaged in monstrous influence-peddling that should have knocked Hillary out of the presidential race and into a jail cell awaiting serious criminal proceedings.
Yet only thanks to citizen journalists like WikiLeaks did the facts keep coming that exposed a wickedly corrupt Clinton spider web tangled through influential politics, law enforcement, and the media.
With only a few days to go before the November 8 elections, Hillary still was free as a bird and still campaigning.
(This hardcopy issue of The Wanderer went to press a few days earlier, November 3.)
Then there’s the imponderable on Hillary’s future of FBI professionals being outraged at her endangering this nation for her own enrichment but skating free. They may have a thing or two to do about her, regardless of results on November 8.
Imagine that a Republican president like Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush had been exposed as offering government favors if interested foreign parties would see to it that a payoff of $5 million or $10 million found its way into his nonprofit foundation. And then lied his head off about this month after month, even to federal investigators.
The White House would have been vacant before you knew it. But when the lawbreaker is Hillary, the dominant media swooned at their opportunity to keep rolling out a red carpet for her into the very same presidential residence that she and her husband disgraced back in the 1990s.
Who in the world still wants to hand new clout to a piece of worn-out 20th-century baggage that should have had the grace to bow out? Moreover, her insatiable lust for still more power and money should have been a grim warning against giving her the presidency.
But in dominant newsrooms, the fact she was bursting with ambition further to impose the left-wing’s intrinsic, deadly evils in the U.S. and around the world actually added to her allure. Don’t worry, they’d never report these burning hungers of hers in a damaging way.
Even though his Drudge Report news aggregator is well-known by now, Matt Drudge made a powerful impact beginning in the 1990s by bursting through the news priorities arranged by the dominant media outlets.
Drudge later was joined by other citizen journalists like Mark Crutcher, Lila Rose, and O’Keefe. But the fact that Hillary still was free to keep campaigning for president in early November indicated that countervailing forces were at work.
Think back to June, when Bill Clinton had his secret meeting with left-wing Attorney General Loretta Lynch on the tarmac at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport, while Hillary was under FBI investigation.
Once again, self-absorbed national media missed what happened. It was only because a local tipster contacted a Phoenix television reporter that the lid blew off.
Caught just after the act, what did the politically radical attorney general say the husband of the criminal suspect had discussed with her? Oh, playing golf in 109-degree summer weather, and grandchildren.
Of course you don’t believe that, but the fairy tale shows the contempt this elite has for your brainpower. Underhandedness is the way they get their daily dirty work done in the national halls of power, and your nose stuck into their business is dreadfully unwelcome.
(If Lynch’s side-splitter about her chat with Bill isn’t insulting enough to one’s intelligence, try this line from “moderate” John McCain’s current Arizona re-election commercials: “We need John McCain in the Senate as the first line of defense against the liberal agenda.”)
Whether political outsider Trump has enough of his own clout with voters to overcome the raw insider power should be known shortly. Providing an optimistic note, his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, told Rush Limbaugh on November 2, “The enthusiasm out there is like nothing I’ve ever seen in my lifetime.”
One thinks of pundit Hugh Hewitt’s 2004 book title, If It’s Not Close, They Can’t Cheat. Trump apparently has reached hordes of disenchanted people not used to voting. If they turn out strongly for him in the general election as they did in the GOP primaries, he might be well on his way into the White House.
However, one can’t overlook that the Democrats have a tough team of lying lawbreakers in Barack Obama and Hillary. It’s unlikely they’ve been content to leave preparations for ballot counting solely in the hands of principled people.
This, plus the fact that Democrats have been rushing as many warm bodies into the U.S. as they can, whether legally authorized now to vote or not. The “graveyard” vote is to be supplemented by the imported foreigner vote.
Conservative activist Ann Coulter told Sean Hannity on October 31 that the Democrats have changed this nation with the way they’ve used immigration, and if Hillary wins, it means the game is over.
On the other hand, Bill Clinton was impeached as president. Conservative radio talker Laura Ingraham pointed out that if Hillary becomes the first woman president but is impeached as the result of current criminal investigations, the Clinton Crime Family would have the unique disreputable distinction of both husband and wife being impeached.
Even lying lawbreaker Obama and wife Michelle haven’t been able to accomplish that.
Meanwhile, conservatives, who know what moral evils Hillary intends, hope for both a Trump victory and Trump delivering on the promises he made. If the Manhattan billionaire turns out to have lied his way into the White House, he’d face a future as rocky as one with Hillary exercising her Alinskyite arrogance.
Would he, the successful businessman, dare want to be remembered as a political backstabber after he elicited hope in a desperate populace?

Never Trumpers

With so much of the establishment already against him, it didn’t help Trump’s path that the Never Trump fraction expressed fond hopes that Hillary absolutely would crush him, to wipe out Trump’s every trace.
Decade after decade, these professional conservatives have seemed useless at attaining important victories. After nearly a half-century, for instance, the leftists’ slaughter mills continue to destroy millions of unborn babies, and Hillary would like to make this last for a full century, or millennium.
It’s hard to imagine that even pagans, much less “a Christian country,” would want so much innocent blood on their hands. But Never Trumpers rub their hands in glee in hopes of a massive Hillary win. Why are they so scared that a successful Trump administration might actually get the work done that seems so far beyond their abilities?
After surrendering to Obama for eight years, their taste seems only whetted for capitulation to Hillary.
The radically pro-abortion Obama dirties everything he touches, from needy people’s health care to national safety to border security. He currently is threatening to veto the National Defense Authorization Act that’s being prepared in Congress if it has a religious freedom amendment to protect people’s consciences.
The conservative Heritage Foundation’s Daily Signal website commented on October 28: “While this may just be political posturing, it fits a clear pattern of…Obama’s willingness to use national security, and the defense bills in particular, as hostages to help him advance an unrelated domestic agenda.”
Obama soon should be gone, though. Will his successor delight in the destruction he wrought, or set out to uproot it?

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.
