“So Sue Me”. . . Obama Is Not A Man For Church Bureaucrats Or Illegal Immigrants To Trust

July 26, 2014 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX — During His earthly mission, Jesus knew who His enemies were in the establishment but He still would have welcomed them into Heaven if they changed their ways. However, He didn’t pretend that the cloak of His love made their plotting and hypocrisy vanish.
He freely handed out strong insults to His enemies — dead men’s bones, a dirty fox. And Jesus didn’t say it’d be really good to get together with them on common ground to bankroll camel caravans for unauthorized immigrants to reach the oasis of their dreams.
He sought out sinners to convert, not the proud in their self-congratulation.
Flash forward to the 21st century. Some U.S. Catholic Church bureaucrats know Barack Obama is the avowed enemy of their Church, yet they snap to attention in an instant when Obama’s government asks them to give him a hand.
Obama was trying to crush the Catholic Church yesterday and will try to crush it tomorrow, but today he’s stuck in this border quicksand yet counts on Church leaders to throw him a rope.
He knows how to play the game with certain Catholics who think distorted left-wing “social justice” has overridden religious truth. Obama played the game long ago against the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Look around the website of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) for hints at being helpful with Obama’s agenda and the current border tsunami. The “Migration and Refugee Services” logo, for instance, shows Baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph journeying beneath the Christmas star.
However, grown-up Jesus the realist would no doubt ask why the picture doesn’t include the endless bundles of narcotics, hordes of gangsters and terrorists and high-powered cartel weaponry that poison any attempt at border friendship.
He’d ask why the truly unfortunate border-crossers trying to make a living don’t stand up to the rulers of their own lands — stand up with the same sort of massive numbers of Latinos flooding northward — and demand justice there. Running from these oligarchs lets immorality triumph both in their homelands and in the U.S.
The Savior also knows the Temple in Jerusalem had guards so that Baal worshipers wouldn’t push in through the enclosure and offer their unclean pagan sacrifices on the altar. Not everyone who demands admission deserves to receive it, including drug pushers hiding amid other people’s families. But some Church bureaucrats say enclosures are unwelcoming and gates must be kept wide open.
You’d think that the U.S. didn’t already offer generous legal immigration at all, and that the only way to get it is to shove past anyone else in line.
On July 10 writer Ryan Lovelace noted at National Review Online that Obama’s “Border Crisis Plan B” is to use the Catholic Church to help spread illegal immigrants around the nation.
Too many Church leaders are ready to help.
The next day, on July 11, The Los Angeles Times posted a story about newly arrived illegal immigrants in Texas being welcomed at a Catholic church, “clutching water bottles and manila envelopes marked with their intended destinations in the U.S.”
Writer Lovelace wondered, could this be the same religious body that Obama has declared unrelenting war on?
Yes, the same. The same religious body that Obama hopes to crush with newly minted, fraudulent Democratic votes, in any way he can manufacture them.
Lovelace quoted a spokesman for the San Bernardino, Calif., Catholic Diocese that protesters against massive illegal immigration “don’t see the immigrant in the same way we do, which is as a human being that’s created in God’s image with dignity, just like everyone else.”
However, Lovelace, noting that certain Church spokespersons seem to have their own limited view of who is an acceptable human being, quoted a USCCB official comparing middle-class foes of massive illegal immigration in Murrieta, Calif., to vicious Alabama segregationists of the past.
It didn’t help that official’s case that blacks themselves are speaking up now against Obama showering countless illegal aliens with unlimited tax funding.
And, given Obama’s radical, anti-morality agenda, one can’t expect Obama just to give lemonade and cookies to Latino teenagers who, if they’re not “sexually active” already, soon will encouraged to be — in violation of any traditional moral standard.

Pushing The Anti-Life Agenda

On July 18, LifeSiteNews.com reported, “Pro-life leaders are criticizing a $350 million grant program from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched last month that would in part provide ‘family planning services’ to Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC).”
The story went on to quote Stephen Phelan, director of Mission Communications for Human Life International:
“Are we really surprised to learn that in the midst of policy confusion and human suffering surrounding this immigration crisis, the one thing the Obama administration is absolutely clear about is pushing the abortion and contraception agenda on children? This cannot surprise us, but it should enrage us. We have never seen such an extreme pro-abortion administration in our country’s history.”
Do Church bureaucrats think it’s wrong to push Latino teens into sin? As Obama said, “So sue me.”
As for another aspect of education that alien minors will receive, the Arizona Daily Independent (ADI) reported on July 2 that the “Southwest Key” youth training program “provides a transformative education” that is “culturally relevant.”
“Employees are being hired by Southwest Key for the Unaccompanied Minors Shelter Program, with jobs available in [the Arizona cities of] Mesa, Glendale, Tucson, and Phoenix,” ADI reported.
“…At the current rate of intake, approximately 36,000 children will be processed through the [Nogales, Ariz.] Border Patrol Station. Of that, an unknown number of innocent children, who were sent here by parents hoping for a better life and the American Dream, will learn mostly of the great injustice fostered by our system, and be compelled to become agents of change,” ADI said.
A separate LifeSiteNews.com story on July 18 reminded readers that Obama pays close attention to what he’s told by his “science czar,” the pro-abortion radical John Holdren.
LifeSiteNews.com reported, “It’s not every day that a politician boasts that he receives his expert scientific advice from a population-control fanatic who has justified compulsory abortion for American women — but then, as he likes to remind us, Obama is not like other presidents.”
The story added, “‘Holdren has this president’s ear, perhaps more than any White House science adviser in recent memory,’ Henry Fountain of The New York Times reports, saying the alarmist plays a ‘pivotal role in the administration’.”
With every passing month, Obama has exposed himself as an increasingly malign individual — one who, however, many Catholic bureaucrats rush to aid in the “migration crisis” that Obama carefully concocted himself, both by ignoring years of warnings by others and also by doing everything he can to increase massive illegal entry in a way that Obama calculates will benefit himself.
Quite aside from his welcoming massive numbers of aliens that there’s no money to support, Obama’s behavior during notable tragedies has left people wondering about his judgment.
When a Malaysia Airlines plane was shot down by a missile on July 17, killing nearly 300 people, Obama briefly acknowledged the slaughter before launching into jokes and attacks on Republicans, then going to two Democratic fund-raisers.
Last September, a gunman killed 12 people at the Washington, D.C., Navy Yard, only minutes from the White House, before police killed him. The shooting briefly delayed a statement by Obama on the economy, but in no time at all, Obama began talking, ripping into and mocking Republicans.
Shortly before the 2012 presidential election, four Americans including Obama’s own ambassador to Libya were murdered by terrorists. Back in the U.S., Obama’s whereabouts couldn’t be discovered, but his administration lied about what happened in Benghazi. However, the president managed to dash off to Las Vegas for a Democratic fund-raiser.
It’s not only the Southwest U.S. border that’s crossed with impunity, but any and every border of reason, morality, and sanity by this radical Democrat government. Into whose hands so many Catholic bureaucrats trustingly place themselves.

Stretched To The Max

As the tsunami of new illegal aliens continued, the liberal bishop of the Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino, Gerald Barnes, issued a statement saying that the “comprehensive immigration reform” favored by the U.S. bishops “would make this kind of displacement of human beings unnecessary.”
Barnes offered no factual support for this assertion. Nor did his statement acknowledge that the very expectation that illegal immigrants will be allowed to remain in the U.S., encouraged both by Obama and some of the bishops, is what has caused the flood.
Barnes did, however, write: “Please reach out to your elected representatives and remind them that it is within their power and is, indeed, their responsibility to fix this broken immigration system for the good of all God’s people.”
As for the responsibility of illegal immigrants, Barnes left that unsaid.
Former Alaska Republican Gov. Sarah Palin, however, wondered where the deeply indebted, recession-wracked U.S. is getting the money that it’s burning through to service the aliens.
Breitbart.com reported that Palin said: “The federal government is trillions of dollars in debt; many cities are on the verge of insolvency; our overrun health-care system, police forces, social services, schools, and our unsustainably generous welfare-state programs are stretched to the max. We average Americans know that.
“So why has this issue been allowed to be turned upside-down, with our ‘leader’ creating such unsafe conditions while at the same time obstructing any economic recovery by creating more dependents than he allows producers? His friendly wealthy bipartisan elite, who want cheap foreign labor and can afford for themselves the best ‘border security’ money can buy in their own exclusive communities, do not care that Obama tapped us out,” Palin said.
Many Americans, she said, “now feel like strangers in their own land. It’s the American worker who is forced to deal with Obama’s latest crisis with our hard-earned tax dollars while middle-class wages decrease, sustainable jobs get more scarce, and communities become unrecognizable and bankrupted due to Obama’s flood of illegal immigration.”
With that kind of realism, Palin won’t find many fans at the USCCB.
