Culture Of Life 101 . . . “Introduction To The Fight Over Homosexuality” (Continued)

The previous article discussed the first two of ten reasons all Catholics should oppose the homosexual special rights agenda: It is both unhealthy and predatory in nature.
The third reason we must oppose the special rights movement is because it is relentlessly coercive. Its members persistently lobby legislatures and clog courthouses demanding their own rights, but feel absolutely no regret as they relentlessly coerce and compel others to accept and even celebrate their lifestyle.
Hundreds of “gay rights” and hate crimes laws have been enacted at all levels in the United States. Some “first world” governments are now forcing churches to hire and protect homosexuals, even if doing so violates their most cherished beliefs. Governments are forcing people to rent to homosexual “couples,” even if the property owners can demonstrate that their religious beliefs are being violated. Increasingly, opposition to the special rights agenda results in terrorism directed against individuals and organizations, as we will see in a future article.
Fourth, the special rights movement completely disregards the rights of others. As they complain that they are being oppressed, homosexual activists attack Christians, disrupt church services, vandalize churches, and threaten that they may legitimately use any means to achieve their goals!
As we will see in a future article, some leading homosexual activists have vowed to kill, maim, and murder in their quest for special rights. Any movement with a significant contingent of people who believe that they are exempt from all of the rules that govern the rest of us must be opposed as a matter of principle, because if it gains sufficient power, it will be absolutely despotic.
Under special rights laws, homosexuals are granted a superior legal standing. Colleges give preference to homosexuals in legal disputes, housing authorities usually side with homosexuals against “straights,” and “hate crimes” can only be committed against homosexuals — but never by homosexuals. Finally, only “straights” are subject to “sensitivity” (i.e., brainwashing) sessions — when was the last time you heard of a homosexual activist being forced to take sensitivity training?
Special rights laws, by their very nature, are discriminatory and give one group legal protection that other groups do not enjoy. This protection is based solely on the preferred group’s behavior. Such laws can only cause resentment and backlash and create a proliferation of case law that itself leads to judicial and legal logjams, conflicts, unfairness, and confusion.
Fifth, the “special rights” movement is violent. When a government gives a group of people a false “permission” to engage in any kind of promiscuous sexual activity, such coddling eventually leads to a complete loss of self-discipline. This inability to control oneself naturally leads from sexual misconduct to total disregard for all of the ordinances of both God and man. Activist homosexuals commit many more violent crimes in general than the rest of the population, as we will see.
Homosexuals are also much more likely to commit suicide or to meet a violent death themselves than are other people, and the homosexual “lifestyle” has caused “gays” to lose a total 50 million years of productive life in the United States since 1985.
Sixth, homosexual behavior is strongly addictive. Homosexuals quickly become addicted to their promiscuous sexual lifestyle, and their behavior meets all points of the medical criteria for addiction. By legitimizing and protecting such behavior, governments enable individuals to become more and more immersed in the homosexual lifestyle to the lasting detriment of both themselves and society. Significantly, homosexuals also suffer from a greatly increased rate of cross-addiction to alcohol and drugs.
Seventh, the special rights movement damages society. To elevate homosexual unions to the same status enjoyed by the family is to degrade and even ridicule the status of the traditional family. To place ersatz homosexual “marriages” on the same moral and financial footing as “traditional” marriages will adversely impact society in a profound manner, because when evil is officially placed on the same level as good, society in general gradually loses the capability of distinguishing between good and evil.
“Traditional” marriage is in bad shape indeed, but the solution is to fix it, not to dilute its meaning. Homosexuals who justify marriage between two (or more) men and two (or more) women by pointing at the sad state of man-woman marriage are falling into a logical fallacy. This is like saying that a car’s transmission is shot, its windshield is broken, it burns oil like a furnace, and its muffler fell off long ago, so let’s fix it by slashing its tires!
The problem is not the Sacrament of Matrimony, the problem is people’s lack of commitment to it.
The implications of redefining marriage are obvious. Such acceptance will inevitably lead to a further degradation of the institution that has always been the foundation of every healthy society. Already, polygamists are demanding marriage rights — and, believe it or not, so-called “zoophiles” are insisting that they should be able to marry their pets!
And why not, if two men or two women can get married to each other?
The eighth reason we must oppose the homosexual agenda is that “gays” are not a legitimate minority. All minorities that have, until recently, achieved protection under the law are defined by race, sex, and national origin — not by their sexual urges. To give a group special protection just because it feels or acts differently from other groups simply makes no sense. Since courts place great value on legal precedents, this will throw open the doors for any group that defines itself based on a shared identity to claim civil rights protection.
This type of legal end run has already been attempted by organized pedophiles like the Rene Guyon Society and the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA); by organized prostitutes under the banners of Cast Off Your Old Tired Ethics (COYOTE) and Johns and Call Girls United Against Repression (JACGUAR); and, of course, by pornographers, including the purveyors of child pornography. If homosexual “marriage” becomes enshrined in law, can a train of other atrocities be far behind?
Ninth, the special rights movement is completely unnecessary if its true goal is equality. As a class, homosexuals earn more, travel more, are more highly educated, and own more material goods than any other subgroup of the general population. As far as violence is concerned, only one in 77 homosexuals is ever the victim of a hate crime.
The special rights movement does not really aim to free homosexuals from oppression, because they are already free — the objective of the movement is to give homosexuality and homosexual acts an exalted and privileged place in society.

They Cannot Coexist

The tenth and most important reason we must oppose the homosexual agenda is that it is opposed to the will of God. The Metropolitan Community Church (originally entitled the “Sodomy Church”), the Unitarian Universalists, and many other ultraliberal churches claim that homosexuality is compatible with a good spiritual Christian or Jewish life. However, both the Bible and the Talmud explicitly condemn homosexual acts.
The Bible clearly condemns homosexuality as a “hateful thing,” and uses Sodom and the sodomites as a standard of evil against which all sinful activities are compared.
Anyone who says that Jesus and the Bible did not condemn homosexual activity is ignorant, self-deceiving — or just plain lying.
Although liberal Christians and Jews have warped their original faith teachings beyond recognition to suit their own purposes, those who faithfully adhere to the correct and original teachings will recognize that homosexual activity is one of the greatest evils in existence and must be fought.
The homosexual rights movement categorically rejects any and all limitations on its behavior and social entitlement. It is virulently anti-Christian and rejects self-discipline, love of others, and even love of God.
It is not an exaggeration to say that authentic Christianity and the special rights agenda simply cannot coexist.
Conclusion. A slumbering Christianity is the homosexual activist’s best friend. The only reason that the special rights agenda has advanced so far in such a short time is that the Catholic Church has largely remained silent. Sure, we have some solid bishops and priests speaking out against the homosexual movement, but we must remember that we laity are 99.9 percent of the Church, and the vast majority of the work must necessarily fall to us.
There are 40 million adult Catholics in this country, which should be terrifying to the Culture of Death. If only ten percent of these people spoke out strongly and absolutely refused to be silenced, the homosexual activists could not win.
You must ask yourself: “Am I one of the ten percent?”
As John Nantz has written, “Find your voice and see what God will do through you; or sit idle and silent as the pagan voices howl, lose yourself in distraction, and awake to the burning pyres of liberty lost.”

Abortion Advocates No Longer Consider It “A Necessary Evil,” They Celebrate Killing Babies

Last week, Kamala Harris became the first vice president in U.S. history to make a public visit to an abortion clinic.
