Conservatives . . . Need To Give Leftists A Scrubbing In A Traditional Bathroom

May 15, 2016 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

A rhetorical question by a Facebook user pretty much exposed some current left-wing sloganeering for the husk it is.
Asked Matt Archbold on May 9: “So people aren’t born a specific gender, but homosexuals are born that way? Does that make sense?”
For some years, what started off as the LGB movement, before it started adding more initials, said it’s unfair to discriminate against people with a different sexual inclination because they were stuck with it. That’s just the way they were born.
But that was simply the slogan of the moment, until it was thrown out in favor of its opposite. Who knows how long the latest one will last, or what the next hollow formulation will be?
Nowadays, people are said to be free to choose dozens of different sexual identities as they please, so how could anyone insist on such outmoded words as “male” and “female,” especially on lavatory doors? You’re not born any certain way at all.
Still, there have to be some limits, yes? At least until the public is so dazed by left-wing propagandists that it doesn’t know what it’s allowed to think or say. Utterly disoriented, welcome to your “Nineteenth Nervous Breakdown,” as the ahead-of-their-time Rolling Stones sang a half-century ago.
But by the measure of 2016’s always-upheaving standards, the shocking 1965 Stones were old fogies.
Can we at least say the following is still true? A rapist isn’t looking for long-term romance with his victim, but to impose his violent will then discard her.
The fact that the rapist goes by the name of the federal leviathan these days makes the assault no more acceptable to the nation. But the grim grin pasted on the faces of ruthless government bureaucrats seems to make dominant leftist media all too happy to avert their eyes from the lawlessness.
Bureaucrats suddenly imperiously reject the entire prevailing historic understanding of sexual privacy and quickly threaten severe financial damage if any responsible authority resists.
A complete outrage, for sure. If a news editor simply were to look at the illogic of the unaccountable disruption of well-established law and policy, that would inspire hard-hitting stories about how the government presumes to think it can get away with chaos.
If, to use a different example, the George W. Bush government had declared that many Democrats wouldn’t be allowed to vote because they’re simply disloyal to the U.S., Bush would have been impeached and convicted within a month by a Congress wilting under massive media indignation.
But when Obama’s government uses even flimsier diktats to impose its immorality across the board, liberal media focus their indignation against any citizen who dares resist the Magic One’s will.
Journalists think they’ll never have to pay a price for their servility to leftist government? A noteworthy recent example about promoting Obama’s Iran deal with lies showed that his administration looks at even reporters who adore it as fools to be used and laughed at, like any rape victim.
If these supine media saps continue to swallow whatever Obama wants to do with his power, maybe one day big government will simply throw them in prison when they cease to be of any use to it.
Absolutely unthinkable for freedom of the press and the presumption of innocence? So was mandating sex predators’ free entry into public lavatories beyond comprehension, until morally corrupt Obama decided to try to get away with that. And the media followed his lead.
Dominant media concentrate on something that we the benighted have overlooked. The Washington Examiner reported on May 10 that Newsweek wonders if there has been any president “cooler” than Obama — a guy so attuned to pop culture.
There we were, thinking he’s the biggest liar ever in the White House! And most corrupt. And most pro-decadence. And most lawless. How were we missing the swoosh of all the coolness vibes that the media were soaking up?
Left-wing politics views all of life as just more politics. Weather is political. Childbearing is political. Lavatories are political. The cafeteria menu is political. Age is political.
San Francisco columnist Debra Saunders recently wrote of the many ages of the nanny state. Liberals want more votes, so they say to lower the voting age. They don’t like smoking, so raise the smoking age. Wrote Saunders: “If you fit their politics, they want to expand your franchise. If you do not, they feel free to tell you what you cannot do. Next stop: You have to be 21 to buy a gun to protect yourself.”
And of course abortion is good at any age. Imagine this: The day comes when an abortionist actually saves the life of a baby girl who survived an abortion because maybe she soon can get an abortion herself.
In this campaign season, it’s said one reason for Donald Trump’s popularity is his readiness to talk back to any of the arrogant elite, including dominant media. Trump had better be prepared to deliver on continuing to be tough that way toward media honchos, or else journalists who are used to chewing up and spitting out timorous conservatives will chomp down Trump for a snack.
Voters have been screaming they’re sick of being slapped down by the elites for decades. So the elites furrowed their brows about how they could keep getting away with it some more.
If even the ballot box doesn’t work, what is left for the populace to do in self-protection?
Like a thug, the left-wing New York Times moves in for the kill when it senses weakness and fear.
The immediate issue before us is the federal government’s predatory assault against bathroom and locker-room privacy. But it’s hardly the first time the liberal mailed fist has slammed down on society in modern decades. Let’s cite a few fast examples.
Permissive abortion throughout pregnancy throughout the nation? That existed in no law anywhere in the U.S. But the U.S. Supreme Court imposed it overnight as a national “constitutional right” in 1973 through, as one of the two dissenting justices said, “raw judicial power.”
“Same-sex marriage”? Unknown virtually throughout history and rejected time and again around the U.S. by popular vote in the states. No matter. The Supreme Court imposed that, too, in 2015, to the cheers of dominant media that would tolerate nothing else.
Freedom of religion? One of the foundational guarantees of American law. But Obama started hacking away at that, to compel people and organizations to kneel to his agenda instead.
Immigration law? Obama rewrites that on his own after saying repeatedly he didn’t have the power.
Invading and controlling people’s medical care? After baldly lying day and night that he’d never do that, Obama imposed it with his criminally contrived backroom-dealing Obamacare.
Remember how Obama economist Jonathan Gruber bragged about lying to the foolish public in order to get Obamacare?
From back rooms to bathrooms, and back again.
An Associated Press story of April 19 said two Obama appointees to the Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that deference must be given to the U.S. Department of Education to issue its unconventional bathroom interpretations. Which is just what the Obama administration had begun doing. And now two of the Magic One’s highly politicized judges blessed their big boss’ disorientation.
This was the first such ruling by a federal appeals court, the AP story said.
Expect plenty more to come as media roll over again to radical government.
The story quoted the Obama judges playing with words: “We agree that it has indeed been commonplace and widely accepted to separate public restrooms, locker rooms, and shower facilities on the basis of sex. It is not apparent to us, however, that the truth of these propositions undermines the conclusion we reach regarding the level of deference due to the department’s interpretation of its own regulations.”
In other words, Obama’s screwballs get to bypass Congress and turn everything on its head to suit him with morally dangerous, made-up interpretations and LGBTQ fantasy ideology.
Suddenly in 2016, washroom sex predators could launch their own liberal-approved, downright real Democrat “war on women,” but there wasn’t a peep of protest from all the sloganeers who’d be alert to hammer Republicans for that offense instead.

No Regard For The Innocent

Conservative national radio talk host Laura Ingraham noted on May 10 that the Department of Justice has far more concern for asserting the “civil rights” of sexually troubled bathroom invaders than it shows for the actual civil rights of innocent people the Obama administration wants to grind down, like the Little Sisters of the Poor, business owners, Tea Party members, and Arizonans trying to protect their border.
Who will stand up against Obama’s moral midgets wobbling around on 30-foot stilts to show how high and mighty they are above us?
One thinks of Republican John Boehner’s surprise resignation as speaker of the U.S. House last year. Presumably Boehner once was optimistic about being a practicing Catholic and an influential conservative politician. Shoveling out another half-billion taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood last year, maybe Boehner finally concluded he just couldn’t keep going as a split personality.
So he handed off the speakership to Cong. Paul Ryan (R., Wis.) by explicitly making an appeal through the Catholic religion they share. After which new Speaker Ryan shoveled a half-billion bucks to baby-organ-harvesting PP.
People with conscience can’t just keep surrendering the public square like this to aggressive leftists.
The Catholic Solidarity movement in Poland in the 1980s finally rose up and thwarted that Communist government. How sweet it will be to see a U.S. version of Solidarity telling the U.S. version of Poland’s arrogant Communist rulers to get off their thrones and get out of town. And don’t come back.
Say a prayer for that day’s arrival, and the moral midgets’ departure.

Abortion Advocates No Longer Consider It “A Necessary Evil,” They Celebrate Killing Babies

Last week, Kamala Harris became the first vice president in U.S. history to make a public visit to an abortion clinic. Though the Democratic party’s support for abortion is nothing new, Harris’ Planned Parenthood appearance does illustrate how that support has become a flagrant celebration of abortion as a public and personal good, essential to both “freedom” and to “healthcare.” At the appearance, Harris proclaimed,  It is only right and fair that people have access…Continue Reading
