Louis C.K. And His Hatred For The Catholic Church

While it’s no mystery that Catholics are hated and disparaged around the world far and wide, it still hurts me whenever I see people taking cheap shots at my Church. What is it about all the hatred that’s directed toward us?
As we all know, there’s no love lost between the mainstream media industries of so-called entertainment and news and the Catholic Church. They despise us and I certainly don’t care much for them, either.
It’s always interesting, however, to realize that the most rabid anti-Catholic celebrities would never have the guts to criticize another religion — even when some elements within one religion actually oppress women to the point of stoning a rape victim to death for her impurity.
Louis C.K. is a 47-year-old comedian who has made a lucrative career by bashing the Holy Roman Catholic Church that you and I love so much. Since we consider the Church as our Holy Mother Church, he is, in essence, insulting our mother to her face.
Interestingly, Székely (C.K. is how you pronounce his actual surname in Hungarian) and I have much in common. We are both 47 years old, we were both raised Catholic during our formative years, and became lapsed at about ten years of age; also, his parents divorced when he was ten, and my parents separated and eventually divorced when I was 12.
Sure, like most people, neither Louis C.K. nor I had the greatest childhoods, but by the grace of God, we are both still here. What I would love to know is what ticked him off so badly to now attack our faith in the vilest ways possible through what he calls comedy.
Lord knows, I didn’t have it easy, but I am glad I came back to the Catholic Church. God only knows what happened to this man to lead him to become so rude, tasteless, and hateful.
A friend recently alerted me to a short, documentary-style video that Louis C.K. made in which he is supposedly interviewing some members of the clergy about the Catholic Church. For the first couple of minutes, the viewer is led to believe that this is an actual legitimate interview with Church leaders, but not long after that it becomes quite apparent that he is there to dump on our Church with his so-called comedy.
The point of this faux documentary is, of course, that the Catholic Church’s main purpose is to enable priests to sodomize young boys.
No one is denying some of the horrible crimes that have been committed by a minority of priests in the entire 2,000-plus year history of the Church, but the mainstream media will cling to that fact like a jackal on a piece of fresh meat.
There are sadly thousands of other cases where children are molested in public schools, at youth sports programs or even by family members, but the media want you to believe that priests invented child molestation. I for one am sick of it and will not stand for our Church to be treated in this manner.
Louis C.K. is obviously a troubled individual in need of many prayers. People like him and comedienne Sarah Silverman think that they can trash all that is good and beautiful about Christianity, Catholicism in particular, and get away with it.
I demand a public apology from Mr. Székely. While I certainly support his right to free speech, I believe that he has crossed a line that leads him straight inside the borders of committing hate crimes against the Catholic Church.
For anyone to speak of anyone else’s faith in such disgusting and disrespectful ways is simply unacceptable in a civilized society. Had Székely made similar references to Islam or about homosexuals or any given minority, he would be raked over the coals. Because he insults Catholics, he is applauded, celebrated, and honored with Emmy Awards and other worthless trinkets from the kingdom of this world.
He can either respond in a gentlemanly fashion to my demand for an apology or he can further continue to spew out his hatred against our Church. We will then see what action we can legitimately take to stop these attacks on our faith; for example, through boycotts of sponsors.

Please be warned that the video is crude, foul, and defamatory and if you decide to watch it, I hope it motivates you to join me in developing some ways where we can hold people like Mr. Székely accountable for hate crimes against Catholics.
