Seventh Planned Parenthood Video . . . Removing Live Baby Brain Made Procurement Worker Quit

August 21, 2015 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

Like many other pro-lifers, Mallory Quigley prayed outside abortion clinics, knowing of the extent of destruction occurring inside.
She’d viewed “graphic signs” picturing what happens to the unborn babies, and images of small victims from the homicide trial of Philadelphia abortion butcher Kermit Gosnell, MD.
Still, Quigley felt a sort of surprise at the seventh in a series of sting videos, released August 19 by California’s Center for Medical Progress (CMP), titled “Planned Parenthood’s Custom Abortions for Superior Product.”
Previous videos have shown PP executives negotiating to get higher prices for providing baby parts to procurers, as well as their callous, casual attitude toward aborting and harvesting the infants on a large scale. Some mangled bodies were shown, including what looked like a casserole dish full of freshly killed baby parts including an arm torn off near the shoulder.
In the latest video, Holly O’Donnell, a specialist who later quit her job with the procurement company StemExpress, tells of seeing a freshly aborted, well-developed baby boy with a beating heart at a San Jose, Calif., abortuary. His head is to be cut open to remove his brain.
Quigley, the communications director for the Susan B. Anthony List, a Washington, D.C.-based national pro-life women’s activist group, told The Wanderer in an August 19 interview, “I’ve seen what abortion does to the bodies of these babies” previously, but the newest video looks into live dissection.
“I was surprised . . . I don’t know why I should be,” though, she said.
“They’re being dissected alive” in abortion clinics, Quigley said. “. . . This is vivisection, what we’re talking about.”
The Susan B. Anthony List is “working to make sure every member of Congress has seen these videos,” Quigley said, expressing gratitude that CMP and its project leader, David Daleiden, are exposing Planned Parenthood this way.
“It’s brought more fuel to the fire to defund Planned Parenthood,” Quigley said. “. . . It builds on interest for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” for action in Congress, to “stop abortion after five months.” Making the bill into law would save 18,000 lives a year, she said.
CMP leader Daleiden told talk host Sean Hannity on his August 19 national radio program that Planned Parenthood officials all the way to the top know what has been going on.
The seventh video also has comments from procurement executives about infant survivals. A CMP news release says the video “features recordings of Dr. Ben Van Handel, the executive director of Novogenix Laboratories, LLC, and also of Perrin Larton, procurement manager of Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc. (ABR).
“Novogenix is the company that has harvested fetal organs from abortions done by Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s senior director of medical services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, in Los Angeles, while ABR is the oldest fetal-tissue procurement company and works with Planned Parenthood in San Diego and other clinics around the country,” the release continues.
“Van Handel admits, ‘There are times when after the procedure is done that the heart actually is still beating,’ and Larton describes abortions she has seen where ‘the fetus was already in the vaginal canal; whenever we put her (the mother) in the stirrups, it just fell out’,” the news release says.
CMP says: “State and federal law require that the same treatment be given to an infant born alive after an abortion as to a normally delivered baby (1 U.S.C. 8, CA Health and Safety Code 123435). California law also prohibits any kind of experimentation on a fetus with a discernible heartbeat (CA Health and Safety Code 123440).
“StemExpress has been cited in published scientific literature as a source of fetal hearts used for Langendorff perfusion, which keeps a heart beating after it is excised from the body,” CMP says.
The Hill national political news website on August 19 quoted StemExpress’ technician O’Donnell referring to an experience with a co-worker at the San Jose abortuary: “She just taps the heart and it starts beating. Since the fetus was so intact, she said, ‘Oh, this is a really good fetus, it looks like we can procure a lot from it. We’re going to procure brain’.”
The Hill continued, “O’Donnell then describes a procedure to remove the brain,” but it didn’t report what the procedure is. However, the article linked to the seventh video.
This incident made O’Donnell decide to leave StemExpress.
An August 19 report at The Christian Post website added that the co-worker, “Jessica,” “started cutting the head of the baby, starting at the bottom of the chin, making her way up through the middle of the mouth. Then Jessica hands the scissors to O’Donnell and tells her to finish cutting through the rest of the baby’s head so that they can secure the intact brain.”
Jessica “goes ‘OK, you go the rest of the way.’ And, I am like ‘Yes.’ But I didn’t want to do this….She gave me the scissors and told me that I have to cut down the middle of the face and I can’t even, like, describe what that feels like,” the Post reported.
Even if some good came from medical research using such procurement, O’Donnell said she thought, “then I wish I still wouldn’t have done it. I don’t want to be that person.”
O’Donnell reflected what the babies might have done if allowed to grow up — coloring at age three, or even becoming president of the U.S.?
When she disposed of the baby’s remains in a biohazard bag, O’Donnell said, she thought she would be the only person who had actually held that baby.
The conservative Washington Free Beacon website on August 19 said StemExpress issued a denial of wrongdoing, saying: “We have never requested or received an intact fetus. StemExpress performs extensive work to test, isolate, and purify the donated cells so that researchers can use them to help find cures and treatments for life’s significant medical conditions.”
Babies come out into the world to be cuddled and laid in their cribs, but Planned Parenthood prefers to stuff their broken bodies into trash bags. PP’s defenders might say it’s better to kill babies because they wouldn’t have been loved. But is it the babies’ fault they might not be loved, or older people’s failure?

Limbaugh: “It’s Unspeakable”

National radio talkmeister Rush Limbaugh told his audience on August 19, “It’s just amazing what is happening in the United States of America,” with live babies having their parts harvested.
“It’s unspeakable, what has been released” by the CMP, Limbaugh said. “There’s no way to ever soften this. . . . How about slicing open the face to get to an intact brain?. . . It’s unspeakable, and it’s routine. It’s just routine.”
Even though the videos made many people think of comparisons with German National Socialist atrocities in the 1940s, it’s not as if most Americans vocally endorse or demand this wanton cruelty. As an opinion article at the Washington Examiner website noted on August 19, even the worst champions of mass abortion seem afraid to use the word “abortion” in public.
The Examiner article said, “Nowadays, the abortion-rights crowd isn’t even comfortable using the word ‘abortion.’ Review any speech President Obama has given on the subject and you’ll be hard-pressed to find him uttering the word, much less describing the procedure.
“Tellingly,” the article added, “more than a decade ago, the National Abortion Rights Action League officially changed its name to NARAL Pro-Choice America. The acronym no longer stands for anything. One suspects it’s because the group figured many Americans were uneasy about an organization whose title combines the words ‘abortion’ and ‘action’.”
However, the U.S. elite — including aloof judges and major-media manipulators — insist that massive permissive abortion must continue into infinity. And timorous Republican Party congressional leaders remain diffident toward blood-drenched PP and its pal the national Democrat Party. Defund PP? Ohh, that’s so hard to do for the GOP’s Mitch McConnell and John Boehner.
After the seventh video revealed the baby’s brain being removed, The Christian Post quoted Lila Rose, the founder of the young people’s pro-life organization Live Action, on the necessity to cut off PP’s tax funding:
“It is difficult to even speak of such horror, and yet our nation allows and even funds these atrocities against our weakest children. This little one is among the hundreds of thousands of lives extinguished every year by Planned Parenthood, a corporation that taxpayers are forced to fund with over a half-billion dollars a year while the abortion giant harvests, traffics, and profits from the illegal sale of baby organs.
“It is time for people of decency to fully embrace the humanity and dignity of these innocents and demand an end to these barbaric acts of violence and cruelty. It is time to protect women and children by defunding and shutting down the abusive and criminal enterprise that is Planned Parenthood,” Rose said.
And Daleiden said: “Planned Parenthood is a criminal organization from the top down and should be immediately stripped of taxpayer funding and prosecuted for their atrocities against humanity.”
Quigley, the communications director at the Susan B. Anthony List, told The Wanderer that Planned Parenthood is a very powerful organization joined by “power players” in Washington, D.C., and Hollywood.
PP just spent $300,000 in advertising to attack U.S. senators who recently voted to defund the organization, she said.
“It is shameful that the media is not covering” the CMP revelations more, Quigley said.
Referring to GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump’s recent equivocations on tax funding for PP, she said Trump “needs to be educated” more on PP’s declining provision of adoption and prenatal services and cancer screenings. Trump did characterize PP as “an abortion factory,” she added.
As for the videos, “You think, why is that tiny body in that situation to begin with,” Quigley said. “. . . It’s not donation. The child cannot consent” to being torn apart.

Dr. Manny Alvarez Speaks Out

Dr. Manny Alvarez, Fox News’ senior managing editor for health news, pointed to CMP reports that Planned Parenthood unacceptably alters abortion procedures to better obtain baby parts. He also called for professional medical organizations to speak out.
“As a high-risk obstetrician, I have seen thousands of women who in previous pregnancies have undergone abortions and now may suffer secondary side effects from that initial procedure, which in turn has placed their current pregnancy at risk,” Alvarez said on August 19.
Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, said in a statement:
“Exactly what is being done to obtain these intact bodies needs to be investigated. Federal law prohibits abortion procedures that partially or fully deliver a living baby. Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell is serving life in prison because he killed babies who were still alive when they came out of the mother’s body. If Planned Parenthood is not fully investigated and prosecuted for these offenses, then we owe Gosnell an apology.”
