The Turkey Of The Year Awards Go To . . .

It’s Thanksgiving Day once again as I write this, and rather than sharing some syrupy and sentimental thoughts with you about gratitude and about how we should all be grateful for God’s blessings, let’s just be grateful every day and have some fun with The Wanderer’s first annual “Turkey of the Year Awards” instead!
There are three Turkey Awards and we will be counting them down here from third to first place. The awards are based on how awful and terrible these individuals and/or organizations truly are in terms of how they have brought harm instead of help to humanity.
These individuals and organizations not only have brought harm to humanity, but continue to mock God through their actions, words, and deliberate participation in evil. Certainly right off the top of our heads, I’m sure we can all come up with the most obvious “turkeys” this past year, so let’s get started and see if you can guess who they are.
At number 3, we present the most obvious “Turkey of the Year Award” to none other than President Barack Obama. I understand that he is probably on everyone’s list as the number one turkey, but believe it or not, there were actually two bigger turkeys this past year!
Obama gets his third place “Turkey of the Year Award” for his ongoing disastrous Obamacare nightmare. The Affordable Care Act was supposed to bring universal health care to all Americans and make the world a much better place.
Cong. Nancy Pelosi even assured us that we need not even bother reading the ACA because all we needed to do was support it and have it passed into law, then there would be rainbows and unicorns everywhere and no one would ever be sick again.
Today, Obamacare is an even bigger unmitigated disaster than even its toughest critics predicted.
Many Americans are choosing to instead pay the IRS fine for not being insured because it is a lot cheaper than having to pay exorbitant premiums per month, not to mention astronomical deductibles that will surely kill you if your accident or illness doesn’t.
Even the nation’s supposedly fourth largest health insurance company, UnitedHealth Group Inc., has announced that Obamacare is such a bust for them that they want to exit the program in 2017.
Our number two “Turkey of the Year Award” goes to ISIS! Let’s not lose our heads over this one, folks, no pun intended!
Sadly, many people this past year have not only lost their heads, but life and limb as well. Enabled by the corrupt United Nations, various Gulf sympathizers, and the Obama administration, ISIS continues down its murderous trajectory into modern history’s most despised and bloodiest goon squad.
ISIS is starting to make even the World War II Nazis look like amateurs, given how ISIS likes to take its killing on the road all across the globe. Hitler’s Nazis were limited in their murderous spree to the geographic boundaries of Europe, whereas ISIS is on a world tour of bloody mayhem.
In honor of ISIS being named our number two “Turkey of the Year,” I think I’ll add extra bacon bits to my salad at Thanksgiving this year!
Speaking of life and limb, the First Place “Turkey of the Year Award” goes to none other than Planned Parenthood!
Planned Parenthood actually deserves a “Turkey Lifetime Achievement Award,” and I use the term “lifetime” very loosely, but for this year’s purposes, we’ll just make them the number-one turkeys of 2015.
The main reason Planned Parenthood gets this dubious distinction is because of the Center for Medical Progress’ undercover videos shot by the courageous David Daleiden and the CMP team. The videos exposed yet more layers of the truly degenerate organization that Planned Parenthood is.
Everybody knows — whether anyone likes to admit it or not — that Planned Parenthood’s main goal is to kill people through abortion.
What the CMP videos did is show how Planned Parenthood can be an even more rotten organization than previously imagined. The videos exposed them as aborted baby parts peddlers. Judging by the callousness of several Planned Parenthood medical staffers in the videos, there appeared to be no shame in their baby parts-selling game.
Think of everyone at Planned Parenthood, from the salad-chomping, wine-swilling Dr. Deborah Nucatola, to Dr. Mary Gatter fantasizing about Lamborghinis, to the Planned Parenthood CEO herself, Cecile Richards, looking morose as she tried to weasel her way out of this scandal — they all looked as bad as could be. How on earth were Planned Parenthood operatives going to walk away from this video exposé?
Of course after hiring a hotshot public relations firm, all the miserable suits at Planned Parenthood could come up with was that the videos were “heavily edited” and part of a Republican conspiracy to take women’s health care away. It sounded like the same old broken record.
So there you have it folks: The three Turkeys of the Year have certainly earned their place in this list. Share this with your liberal friends and family at the table this year and watch the fireworks start!
