“40” Film To Make TV Debut On EWTN

GLENVIEW, Ill. (Christian Newswire) — 40, one of the most compelling pro-life documentaries ever produced, will make its U.S. and Canada television premiere on Wednesday, January 21 on the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) at 11 p.m. EST. This special television broadcast of 40 will coincide with the annual March for Life coverage on the network the following day on January 22.

EWTN will also have an encore presentation of 40 at 10 p.m. EST on January 24 to complement the West Coast March for Life.

The issue of abortion is personal for former Fox Sports Net sportscaster and 40 Director John Morales who says, “I’m not only post-abortive but I’m also an adoptive father.”

40 is an inspirational movie that examines the effects of abortion on our nation over the last 40 years since Roe v. Wade. The film presents abortion as the most important human and civil rights issue of our time. 40 gives voice to both sides fairly and lets women speak for themselves through experience on the reasons for their firm convictions about abortion. 40 highlights well-reasoned secular arguments against the pro-abortion position and provides heartfelt testimonies from post-abortive women and men. 40 also reports on the youth at the annual March for Life as the generation that will end abortion.

40 features dozens of the biggest names in the pro-life movement, such as: Lila Rose, the president of Live Action, Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood abortion clinic director and founder of “And Then There Were None,” Rebecca Kiessling, a pro-life speaker who was conceived in rape, Jeanne Monahan, president of March for Life Education and Defense Fund, Joe Scheidler, founder of the Pro-Life Action League, David Bereit, national director of 40 Days for Life, and many more!

Since its world premiere on December 11, 2013, 40 has been screened in over 100 theaters, universities, high schools, and churches across the U.S. The 40 film was an official entry in the John Paul II International Film Festival in Miami and in the Arcángel Film Festival in San Gabriel, Calif.
