A Book Review . . . Delineating China’s Desire For World Dominance

By REY FLORES

Bully of Asia: Why China’s Dream Is the New Threat to World Order by Steven W. Mosher; Washington, D.C., 2017; hardcover; available at amazon.com, $18.89. Also available on Kindle.

When I was offered the opportunity to review Bully of Asia, I felt somewhat intimidated by its heavy subject matter. The story of China is incredible, deeply profound and frightening, which is especially clear after reading this book.

Bully of Asia is author Steven Mosher’s latest offering that blows the lid off the growing threat that China has become, and how Americans are literally rolling out the red carpet, pun intended, for today’s great red menace.

China’s desire for world dominance is no secret, never has been, never will be. China has always done what China wants, period. The one thing, however, which China has not gotten yet is world dominance, but they’re getting close to it now.

China despises Western culture. They see it as so much of a threat that in 2015, China’s then-Minister of Education Yuan Guiren publicly banned the use of textbooks that, he said, “disseminate Western values.” This, Mosher explains, means that the Chinese government doesn’t like “subversive” notions such as human rights, the rule of law, and popular sovereignty.

Aside from such censorship in their own country, the Chinese Communist Party has nefariously infiltrated over 500 universities in the United States with their Confucius Institutes, a/k/a Confucius Classrooms.

The official agency behind these Chinese propaganda outposts is Hanban, an abbreviation for Office of Chinese Language Council International, which claims that these brainwashing centers are only promoting Chinese language and culture, supporting local Chinese teaching internationally, and facilitating cultural exchanges.

Is it any wonder that therefore there are so many Communist sympathizers among professors and their students, all throughout American academia?

This is no joke, folks. I have a daughter who is about to enter college this fall, and for the life of me, after reading this book, I wonder if it’s the smart thing to do — given how much influence China has over so many institutions of higher learning.

Did you know that the U.S. debt to China is $1.2 trillion as of October 2017? That’s 19 percent of the $6.3 trillion in Treasury bills, notes, and bonds held by foreign countries. Money is power, and according to these numbers, China wields a whole lot of it over the United States.

That’s not all either. Not only has the proverbial Chinese dragon sunk its claws into our economic and educational institutions, but Hollywood is slowly being taken over by China as well.

According to a news story from the Daily Mail from last year, “Chinese tycoons have bought into U.S. studios, production companies, and distribution arms. They have also forged lucrative alliances with LA power players such as Steven Spielberg. The biggest cinema chains in America and Europe, including Odeon and UCI, are already in Chinese hands.”

That’s not all. Because Chinese powerbrokers are so financially powerful in the entertainment industry, movies are more than ever used as Chinese Communist propaganda tools. In the Matt Damon film The Martian, it’s the Chinese Space Agency which saves NASA, and in The Transformers: Age of Extinction, it’s the Chinese Communist Party that stands up to alien invaders, while the White House is portrayed as weak and ineffective.

Mosher is one of the leading authorities on the topic of China, its human rights abuses, and its evil efforts in population control. In this book Mosher once again explains in detail how China believes that it is “the once and future hegemon,” how China truly invented totalitarianism, and how China teaches their people, and now ours as well, to hate America for standing in the way of China’s achieving its narcissistic “dream”: world domination.

This is one book I had to read and reread several times because I could not believe just how frightening the threats against our nation are from the “Bully of Asia.”

I highly recommend that every American patriot read this book and study deeply on China — and start thinking how we need to fight back on several fronts.

Mosher has an extensive body of written work, having published several books on China and population control. As many of you may already know, Mosher is also an avid pro-life activist and the president of the Population Research Institute based in Front Royal, Va.
