A Book Review . . . Making “Gay” More Than Okay

By REY FLORES

Making Gay Okay — How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior Is Changing Everything by Robert R. Reilly, Ignatius Press, San Francisco. Retail price: $22.95; 250 pages.

When I was a child growing up in the 1970s, the first time I ever learned about homosexuals was through the ABC sitcom series Soap. Actor Billy Crystal played the character named Jody, who at every possible opportunity would like to surprise people by letting them know he was “gay.” It was always presented in a silly, humorous, and nonthreatening way. How could one not like Jody?

Another sitcom where homosexuality was toyed around with was the sexy primetime jiggle fest known as Three’s Company. ABC’s hit sitcom revolved around three 20-somethings who cohabitated in 1970s freewheeling California, but in order for the male character to be able to share an apartment with two women, he had to convince his crotchety old landlord that he was a homosexual. Again, a silly nonthreatening way to bring homosexuality in the mainstream pop culture.

This is exactly how awareness of homosexuality crept into my life. It was subtle and stealthy; harmless and entertaining. Like most Americans born after 1960, I bought into the lies about homosexuality propagated by the eugenicists and their allies in the entertainment industry.

While my exposure to homosexuality was through popular entertainment, I know many people who have learned about homosexuality in much worse ways, including pornography and sexual abuse as children.

In Robert Reilly’s new book Making Gay Okay, the author does a fantastic job of deconstructing all of the deliberate social engineering that made homosexuality a means to an end, rather than the end itself.

It is absolutely frightening how so many twisted ideas have been put into motion to deliberately destroy the institutions of marriage and family, basically using homosexuals as pawns to accomplish these goals.

In the book, Reilly reaches into the depths of troubling characters like Nietzsche, Rousseau, and even Obama and Biden, to piece together the sinister plan to make “gay” more than okay, but to inject its poison into future generations.

Sodomy and science — no matter how hard many have tried, science has yet to prove that homosexuals are born that way. “If homosexuals can change, it raises the unpleasant questions as to whether they should change. Of course, there can be no change if a person does not accept responsibility for his actions. It is exactly the goal of the immutability movement to evade responsibility by denying that change is impossible, or even desirable, through bogus genetic or biological claims.”

Another part of the sinister plan covered in this book is how the radical homosexuals seek to completely emasculate longstanding institutions like the priesthood, the military, the Boy Scouts, and even professional sports. What were once bastions of manliness and male strength are now becoming dens of the gravest of sins against God and man.

Like many Americans, I am getting pretty tired of hearing about homosexuals in just about every aspect of our lives. I am fed up with being hijacked by homosexual television shows on an airplane playing the “gay-friendly” show Glee and I am especially done with people labeling us Catholics and other Christians as homophobes and haters.

Read this book to help you navigate these very dangerous times.

Author Robert R. Reilly is not shy about tackling the Culture War, by any means. His previous book is The Closing of the Muslim Mind: How Intellectual Suicide Created the Modern Islamist Crisis.

His background as former senior adviser for Information Strategy for the United States Secretary of Defense and as a special assistant to President Ronald Reagan has no doubt afforded Mr. Reilly invaluable experiences to make this new book a must for anyone interested in the modern culture war and how it affects the human condition.

I must make mention of the creative book cover. It perfectly illustrates the seismic shock of today’s extremist militant and radical homosexual fascism attempting to cause a social earthquake of devastating proportions for our future generations.
