If you aren’t familiar with the title It’s Perfectly Normal, let me share a bit of background with you.
It’s Perfectly Normal is a book that was written by Robie Harris and published back in 1994. According to Wikipedia, Publishers Weekly and School Library Journal both named it Best Book of the Year and the American Library Association and The New York Times both named it a Notable Book of the Year.
As if enough accolades weren’t being heaped upon this book, The San Francisco Chronicle also listed it among The Century’s Best Children’s Books. It sure sounds like a book that all American homes should have in their family library, doesn’t it? After all, it’s “perfectly normal.”
For those of you familiar with the book, you know that the case is entirely the opposite. For the last 20 years, this disgusting and controversial book has been a tool of the pro-abortion, pro-contraception, pro-homosexual militant agenda to indoctrinate kids into aberrant and disordered sexual behavior.
The book is peppered with drawings by Michael Emberley that illustrate human genitalia in great detail and instruct children about masturbation and fornication and lead them to see same-sex attraction as, you guessed it, “perfectly normal.”

Since the first printing of It’s Perfectly Normal in 1994, the Internet has developed tremendously, so families are a lot more susceptible to the infiltration by these malignant forces that are bent on robbing the innocence of our children and jeopardizing their eternal souls.
Speaking of “normalizing” things, much has been written in the past week about the Girl Scout cookie scandal in which the Girl Scouts of America have been connected to the dastardly deeds of our friends at Planned Parenthood and the pro-abortion agenda in general.
As if it weren’t enough that the militant homosexuals have taken over the once-virtuous Boy Scouts of America, Planned Parenthood has also been caught with its hand in the proverbial cookie jar.
By having infiltrating the priesthood, the convents, the schools, and the military, and dominating the entertainment industry and now sports too, the forces of evil have certainly done a terrific job of making what was once an abomination “perfectly normal.”
And it almost seems as though the government wants us all to be so drugged that we will stop caring entirely what it does anymore. Note the weakening or rejection of marijuana laws in many states.
Now not only are drugs and promiscuity widespread among school-age children, but both drug usage and all sorts of sexual behavior are often sanctioned and backed by the government, our tax dollars, and the socialist educational institutions.
Economic Slavery
On a quarterly and monthly basis, we hear about the “jobs report” and about how many Americans have filed for unemployment or Social Security disability benefits. It is usually bad news no matter how the feds cook up the numbers.
It is also becoming more common to read about more American cities filing for bankruptcy and about all of the industries moving overseas. Yet when it comes time to do our annual monster mash Christmas shopping on the manufactured Black Friday or now on Thanksgiving Day, three-quarters of our citizens are out there trampling on each other to dig themselves deeper into debt.
Throw Obamacare and increasing taxes into the mix and it’s a wonder more of us aren’t walking around wearing a barrel with suspenders around ourselves!
We must also take note of our growing militarized police state. As I mentioned in an article last year, when I visited Los Angeles, people had already become immune and desensitized to the constant whirr of the police helicopters hovering above them 24 hours a day.
The New Normal
The secularists would have us not worry so much. Today’s new normal is definitely not your parents’ and especially not your grandparents’ normal, but we are to just remember that it is “perfectly normal.”
Being broke and in insurmountable debt has become our way of life. Too many escape their worries by watching some diabolical spectacle on their giant flat-screen TVs bought on credit and by indulging in drug abuse, now legal in some locales.
We are expected to celebrate as our sons marry other men and our daughters marry other women.
Also, in case any of our daughters are “punished with a baby” because of their practicing sexual freedom, we can thank Planned Parenthood and the administration that they can abort a living, viable human being.
Just keep repeating to yourself: “It’s perfectly normal, it’s perfectly normal.”
