There is a war going on internally within our own Church. It is a war with no winners; only losers.
Is this really what we want to do? Is this really what many of our priests, bishops, and many of our Catholic brethren want for us?
Why on earth then do we have a parish in Washington state whose pastor hosts annual political fairs where he allows Democratic Party political parasites to invite ardent pro-abortion, pro-homosexual “marriage” politicians?
Why are the leaders of the Milwaukee Archdiocese failing to stop the implementation of the Common Core curriculum in archdiocesan schools? Why did a Catholic radio station pull back from allowing ads that — rightfully — criticize the Common Core nonsense going on in the archdiocesan schools?
This is what I am referring to. These are only a couple examples of the internal warfare going on across dioceses and parishes across the country.
This isn’t anything new. I’m certain that this is a happy day for all of the Catholic bashers. They have, after all, succeeded in infiltrating many of our churches, seminaries, and religious orders.
Also, in 2010, Archbishop José Gomez celebrated the Archdiocese of Los Angeles’ annual Labor Day Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. According to the web site, “The Mass marks the Archdiocese’s annual observance of the national holiday honoring all workers. The Mass will begin with a procession of workers wearing uniforms and carrying tools of their trade. During the Mass, Archbishop Gomez will bless the workers in attendance. Mary Kay Henry, President, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) will deliver closing remarks.”
As a former communications specialist for the SEIU, I myself have seen with my own eyes just what the SEIU truly is. It is a secular, socialist political animal that cares nothing about their rank-and-file, yet lets them be used by the anti-Catholic secular politicians during political campaigns.
When can we expect all of the Catholic Church leaders in America to take brave stands against abortion, contraception, and homosexuality — you know, the non-negotiable sins?
I am fairly certain that as practicing Catholics, most of us understand about the “common good,” human dignity, and preferential treatment for the poor: But ultimately, what will some of these pursuits for temporal justice cost us?
Also, just the other day, I had a back and forth discussion on Facebook about married priests and the shortages of diocesan priests and men entering the diocesan seminaries.
Catholics should be aware that we have seminaries bursting at the seams at the Institute of Christ the King and at the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. There is no shortage of priests in these traditional orders, but many dioceses across the country continue to stymie efforts by these two orders to bring the Traditional Latin Mass to the people who are thirsting for it.
Generations were robbed of their faith and robbed of many of the Church’s traditions because at some point we became a church of modernism and relativity.
The Woodstock generation of religious orders grew old and became the Obamacare-pushing Nuns on the Bus and they are now going the way of the dinosaurs. But young women are flocking to the Institute of Christ the King’s Sister Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus.
As the Church Militant, it is up to us to talk to our priests and bishops and fellow Catholics and ask them about all of these true injustices against our Holy Mother Church. Let’s not stand by as the walls collapse around us. This is truly a spiritual call to arms. Souls are continuously at stake here, including our own if we stand by in silence. We are then committing sins of omission.
