The Progressive Is A Different Kind Of Animal

By WAYNE TRYHUK

We should not be surprised that “progressives” promote something as radical as “transgenderism.” After all, they engage in another kind of “trans” behavior. We could call it transpecielism, the exhibition of characteristics of another species — in this case, the animal one.

For aren’t “progressives” behaving like members of the animal species — who sometimes abandon their helpless young, ensuring their consequent deaths — when they approve of legally allowing babies who survive abortion to die, writhing and gasping for air, due to a failure to provide potentially life-saving care?

Showing similar animalism, “progressives” condone poisoning, chemically burning, and wrenching apart babies in the womb as is done in various forms of abortion.

And how lacking in human qualities — as animals obviously are — must be those “progressives” who condone selling body parts of human babies who have been killed in abortion?

Then there’s the approach of many “progressives” to the aged, weak, and disabled, whose care they consider too costly to be borne by society, or whom they deem insufficiently useful to it. They favor letting such persons die by withholding life-sustaining care. This is similar to a herd or pack of beasts that leaves to die those of its members no longer able to keep up with it and serve its species through utilitarian activities like hunting and (eventually) procreating.

Because insurance companies put a premium on profits, one must suspect that they condone the cutting of medical costs by cutting vital care: the “progressive” prescription.

“Progressives” also promote the direct killing of patients through euthanasia, and assisted suicide. Each means might be more properly called insisted suicide, given the barely concealed pressure which may be put on patients to agree to it.

Of course, not all of this could be considered transpeciel — directly reflective of animalistic behavior. But certainly none of it accords with actual humanity.

Nor would allowing “progressives” to twist “transgenderism”— in which one displays characteristics of the sex not one’s own — into a human right. (As they so ironically do with the destruction of human life through abortion.) Because “transgenderism” and its promotion contravene some of the best human attributes.

Among them is the imperative to protect children and adolescents. And that is violated when, for example, confusion and worse are inflicted upon children by subjecting them to “transgender” propaganda like the “Drag Queen Story Hours,” hosted by public libraries. These “progressive” events have been held in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and elsewhere featuring story readings done by men garishly dressed as women. According to the Drag Queen Story Hour Facebook page, the programs capture “the imagination and play of the gender fluidity in childhood and (give) kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.”

There is also evidence that adolescents may eventually suffer serious physical and mental difficulties after undergoing hormonal “gender reassignment.”

Support of “transgenderism” by “progressives” seems largely calculated to bolster their political health, by pandering to homosexual voters in their ranks.

In addition, “transgenderism” can greatly threaten religious liberty, a genuine human right. People wanting surgical or hormonal “gender” changes would likely challenge any religious objections by medical personnel to participating in the procedures. After all, religiously motivated refusals to help effectuate abortion, euthanasia, homosexual “marriage,” and the placement of children with homosexual couples already encounter virulent legal and social attack by “progressives.”

One definition of the prefix, trans, is “on the other side of.” With “progressivism” promoting “transgenderism,” engaging in transpecielism, and otherwise committing transgressions against truly human standards, it’s plainly on the side opposed to genuine progress.
