A Lighthouse In The Storm

The Wanderer is pleased this week to offer a powerful interview with His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke. This interview with His Eminence is truly a breath of fresh air in the aftermath of the fog of the synod.

The climate in the Catholic Church in the past year has been one of confusion and uncertainty, especially regarding the Synod on the Family and the influence of the modernists within the Church at very high levels. We also face the relentless impact of our Godless secular culture and its accommodating media, which tell us our Church must change and conform to the times.

His Eminence’s eloquent explanations of Church teaching on matters of marriage, conscience, catechesis, and his advice on how to deal with the uncertainty and the confusion in the Church, provide us with needed clarity, inspiration, and reassurance.

During this pivotal time when our Church is being attacked from within, it is very clear that we must mobilize behind leaders like His Eminence and embrace and proclaim the teachings of Christ as the Church has done for over 2,000 years. We must stay the course and “fight the good fight,” as St. Paul said.

In Cardinal Burke, we are truly blessed with a courageous churchman, who, like a lighthouse in the storm and a true shepherd of the flock, provides us with the direction we need going forward.

When history is written about these times in the Church, Cardinal Burke might well be considered the St. Paul of our day. God bless you, Cardinal Burke.
