Allegedly Pointed Gun… Abortionist Requests Another Court Delay

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX – An allegedly gun-pointing abortionist’s request to have his day in court extended at least 45 days past May 1 was awaiting action as of April 22.

Ronald Yunis, MD, previously successfully had his date delayed to May 1, then his attorneys told Maricopa County Superior Court on April 20: “As the court is aware, the parties are in discussions and are actively seeking a pre-idictment (sic) to the case. However, given recent World events, and the collateral consequences of the (corona) virus, the parties have conferred and agreed additional time is needed to finalize these discussions.”

Yunis was arrested by Phoenix police on October 18, 2019, briefly jailed and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, then was released on his own recognizance and allowed to return to his abortion work at Acacia Women’s Center here.

The abortionist was video’ed on October 10 briefly pointing what clearly appeared to be a hand gun as he drove past a pro-life protester on the sidewalk outside the abortuary. Although pro-lifers promptly reported the incident, police didn’t make an arrest until they were embarrassed by a subsequent video uploaded to YouTube showing them making excuses about not arresting Yunis.
