As Campaigner Biden Rejects Reality . . . New Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Differs With Giants’ Impositions

By DEXTER DUGGAN

Was Joe Biden’s creepy confirmation on April 25 that he intends to run for reelection as president just the timely announcement he had been promising, or was Biden feeling rushed and pressured after Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced on April 19 that he was joining the White House race, to combat the tyrannies threatening Americans these days?

Biden making the brief announcement via video was a reminder that he and his crew don’t trust his cognitive abilities even as he committed himself to seeking another four years in one of the most arduous jobs in the world.

Kennedy made his name in current times by courageously opposing the COVID vaccine mania that establishment tyrants including the Biden gang fiercely tried to impose. Even today the establishment weirdly considers Kennedy’s record here as evidence of holding a “fringe position.”

However, more than a half-century ago, the Democratic Kennedy family’s name rose in the United States as associated with elegance, taste, and practicing Catholicism, too. So far away from today’s seriously impaired Biden’s gibberish, dementia, and daily environment of insistent massive mortal sin throughout society.

The Kennedy name and heritage make Biden seem a pauper in comparison. However, this pauper has the power of the White House at the moment.

Still, for the Democratic establishment these days to insult American voters with the prospect of 80-year-old loon Biden beginning a second presidential term at age 82 is about like a decadent Roman emperor two millennia ago announcing that his spavined horse deserved a term on the throne.

Suddenly, in late April 2023 the idea even leapt up that Kennedy, now 69, could be the vice-presidential candidate on an unbeatable ticket with Republican Donald Trump, an alert 76 years of age, also known for opposing establishment tyrannies and not owing fealty to Mitch McConnell-style GOP orthodoxy.

The idea probably wouldn’t even have been proposed a few weeks earlier. Nor, for that matter, would anyone have thought as April began that Fox News’ leading commentator, Tucker Carlson, would be removed unceremoniously the morning of April 24, even though he was planning to go on air as usual that evening — but tossed aside he was.

On April 24 Kennedy quickly tweeted in support of Carlson: “Fox fires @TuckerCarlson five days after he crosses the red line by acknowledging that the TV networks pushed a deadly and ineffective vaccine to please their Pharma advertisers. Carlson’s breathtakingly courageous April 19 monologue broke TV’s two biggest rules: Tucker told the truth about how greedy Pharma advertisers controlled TV news content and he lambasted obsequious newscasters for promoting jabs they knew to be lethal and worthless.

“For many years, Tucker has had the nation’s biggest audience averaging 3.5 million — 10 times the size of CNN,” Kennedy added. “Fox just demonstrated the terrifying power of Big Pharma.”

Intriguingly, a web search shows an article at the Before It’s News website on April 21 carrying an article headlined, “The Impossible Dream: A Trump/Kennedy Ticket,” proposing the idea as a way to “eviscerate the Deep State.”

National conservative activist Steve Bannon noted in a radio interview with another such activist, Charlie Kirk, on April 25 that no sooner did Carlson start giving significant attention to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the air than Carlson was given “the bum’s rush” off his powerful Fox platform. Carlson had indicated he looked forward to more such interviews with Kennedy.

Carlson had taken other appealing stands, too. And he and Kennedy obviously shared sympathies against oligarchs and in favor of ordinary people. Whether this would be sufficient to lead to a Trump-Kennedy fusion ticket — or, for that matter, a Ron DeSantis-Kennedy fusion ticket, or some other improbable-seeming pairing — will make for tantalizing speculation.

As this article was written overnight on April 25-26, it was too early to rule out such a fusion possibility, although the ruling class expects Americans to assent to “four more years” of rabid Biden’s intentional disasters. Or, if somehow Biden is forced out, that he would be replaced on the Dem ticket with someone else equally in thrall to Biden’s oligarch agenda of depravity.

For decades it had been the incapable Biden’s dream to capture the presidency, and now that he had it in his teeth, he seemed determined to sink his fangs deeper and shake the nation like an impaled rag doll.

However, politics has twists and turns aplenty, and the continuing ambitions of an aging dementia patient have considerable opportunity to go awry.

Assassins’ murders of Kennedy’s uncle, President John F. Kennedy in 1963, and his own father, former U.S. attorney general, incumbent U.S. senator and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, devastated the family before the youngster even reached 15 years of age — although another uncle, Edward Kennedy, went on to serve decades in the U.S. Senate.

The two murdered brothers didn’t see the day of the aggressive immorality that sibling Edward later joined in promoting politically as the 1970s arrived. In a 1971 letter to a constituent, Sen. Ted Kennedy still was able to express an outright pro-life and liberal view, but that didn’t last.

He had written: “When history looks back to this era it should recognize this generation as one which cared about human beings enough to halt the practice of war, to provide a decent living for every family, and to fulfill its responsibility to its children from the very moment of conception.”

At his campaign website, RFK Jr. doesn’t express Biden’s characteristic rabid pro-abortionism, although the new presidential candidate might be thought to be trying to paper over the issue by speaking of uniting voters who fundamentally disagree. That would be uniting polar opposites.

Moral And Cultural

Conversion

Two informed conservative sources whom The Wanderer contacted for an evaluation of RFK Jr. dismissed him as “a nut.” One of them, Phoenix daily radio talk host Seth Leibsohn (KKNT, 960 AM), said that he said as much on his program: “He’s a total nut. Doesn’t think Sirhan killed his dad.”

Sirhan Bishara Sirhan is a Middle Eastern immigrant serving a life sentence in California after being convicted of shooting down the elder Kennedy in June 1968 at a Los Angeles hotel as he was winning the Golden State’s Democratic presidential primary.

Wikipedia says: “In a 2018 interview with The Washington Post, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that he had traveled to California to meet with Sirhan in prison and that, after a relatively long conversation (the details of which he would not disclose), believed that Sirhan did not kill his father and that a second gunman was involved.”

Kennedy’s April 19 presidential announcement at a four-star hotel in liberal Boston showed a full hall of enthusiastic supporters. Would these be the ground troops of veteran Democrats, embarrassed and shamed by the tremendously corrupt Biden presidency, who wish to wrest party control away from him?

On April 24 Mary Ann Kreitzer, who runs the Virginia-based Catholic blog Les Femmes — The Truth, told The Wanderer: “I’m glad Robert Kennedy is going to engage in a faceoff with Joe Biden. I think Bugs Bunny would be a better alternative than the current president. But everything I’ve read on Kennedy’s site indicates he’s a liberal who just doesn’t get it.

“He obviously buys all the environmental nonsense and wants to take more land for the government and continue policies to ban mining, logging, oil drilling and other industries based on using our natural resources for the common good,” Kreitzer said. “He focuses on ‘deteriorating infrastructure’ as if fixing roads will fix what’s wrong at the heart of America.

“He claims he will heal us and work for unity, a fool’s errand unless it begins with recognizing the supreme authority of God Almighty and calls for a return to morality,” she said. “How exactly do you foster unity between those who champion the murder of the innocent and those who defend them? How do you unite those who demand that we all nod like bobblehead dolls when they claim men can be women (and have babies) and women can be men?

“How can you even have a discussion with people who start with rules about using their correct pronouns? Kennedy’s website is filled with woke nonsense although he presents it in a less strident way than most liberals,” Kreitzer said. “I’d like to be enthusiastic about him, since I appreciated his stand on the COVID gene therapy. But the cure he has in mind is politics as usual when what we need is moral and cultural conversion.”

Later on April 24, when word of Kennedy’s tweet supporting Carlson after the firing came out, Kreitzer said: “I was glad to see Kennedy defend Tucker Carlson. That was definitely a slap at the left, so maybe he’s more conservative than he appears. On the other hand, maybe it’s just politics trying to keep everyone on board.”

Conservative Republican political consultant Constantin Querard told The Wanderer on April 24: “It will be interesting to see if any other potentially serious candidates get into the race on the Democratic side. If none do, then Kennedy has an outside chance if something happens to Biden from a health standpoint, or if DeSantis supplants Trump as the betting favorite to win the GOP nomination.

“So long as it’s Biden vs. Trump, Democrats will be content to stick with the playbook that worked in 2020 and 2022,” Querard said, “but they may well get skittish if either Biden or Trump begin a sudden decline.”

New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin suggested another motivation for Biden to stay in the race: The White House is a powerful place to try to suppress the growing corruption investigations by the GOP into him and his family.

Conservative commentator Quin Hillyer posted at the Washington Examiner on April 25: “Give President Joe Biden credit for efficiency. It is really difficult to pack as many lies and hypocrisies into three minutes as he did in his video announcing his candidacy for reelection.”

Take a look at Kennedy’s website, www.kennedy24.com. There appears to be a true sympathy with ordinary people being crushed by today’s giants, the sort of empathy that would find a welcome on Carlson’s program.

On the other hand, the website sets up false polarities, too — for instance, between dead fetuses and forcing women to have unwanted babies.

Wouldn’t the answer be to help pregnant mothers welcome their innocent offspring?

This is how, in part, Kennedy’s site deals with the question of “Reconciliation — Heal the Divide”:

“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has clear positions on most of today’s divisive trigger issues like abortion, guns, and immigration, but he knows that both sides have legitimate concerns and legitimate moral positions. No one is deplorable. Furthermore, most of the disagreements obscure deeper shared values.

“Everyone wants their children to be safe. Few relish the thought of dead fetuses, nor do they want to force women to have unwanted babies. Everyone wants safe streets, yet few wish for millions of people to languish in prison.

“Robert F. Kennedy will draw on the broad moral agreements beneath our divisions. He will model careful listening, and create conditions where each group can hear the stories of the other. He will lead the way toward national reconciliation, respectful dialog, and willingness to change, to grow, and to forgive.”

Well, why should abortion be a “divisive trigger issue”? That’s the language of the Left.

As for “Peace — Bring It Home,” the site says, in part: “As president, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will start the process of unwinding empire. We will bring the troops home. We will stop racking up unpayable debt to fight one war after another. The military will return to its proper role of defending our country.

“We will end the proxy wars, bombing campaigns, covert operations, coups, paramilitaries, and everything else that has become so normal most people don’t know it’s happening,” the site says. “But it is happening, a constant drain on our strength. It’s time to come home and restore this country.”

As for the war in Ukraine, it says that “the most important priority is to end the suffering of the Ukrainian people, victims of a brutal Russian invasion, and also victims of American geopolitical machinations going back at least to 2014. We must first get clear: Is our mission to help the brave Ukrainians defend their sovereignty? Or is it to use Ukraine as a pawn to weaken Russia? Robert F. Kennedy will choose the first.”
