As Media Push Death For Others . . . At Least Copilot Lubitz Knew He’d Share Same Fate As Victims

By DEXTER DUGGAN

As news reports began appearing about the startling Germanwings crash into the French Alps, some online headlines said two babies were among the 150 people on board the commercial jetliner. Other headlines noted that a German high school class also perished in the March 24 disaster.

Early headlines didn’t focus on how many middle-aged bankers or bakers or retired vacationers may have met a tragic end on the flight, whose destruction reportedly was caused intentionally by apparently unstable copilot Andreas Lubitz.

It’s not that none of the other lives mattered to news editors. Each life on the plane was important, starting with the person who was living it. It was simply additional poignant sadness that some so young had their lives destroyed in an instant. Before they’d had much of a chance of life at all, especially the babies.

However, if it’s thought worthy to highlight a baby’s death not long after birth, what about the life of a baby only months before birth?

Indeed, when pregnant mothers are killed or injured in various accidents, news reports may well note the fate of their babies, too. And they’ll likely be described as “unborn babies.”

It’s only when the babies with their whole lives ahead of them are being killed intentionally by permissive abortion, and they number not one or two or ten but millions, that they don’t get a prominent news headline.

They don’t even get small type on the obituary page, because their lives are counted as nothing at all by those who are perfectly content that many millions more of them should die. Indeed, the possibility that they wouldn’t die by abortion would be treated as outrageous repression of women.

What if Lubitz had greeted the passengers boarding in Barcelona for the flight to Dusseldorf by saying, “If I get the chance, I intend to fly this plane into a mountain within the hour. Welcome aboard!”

Words matter. Probably a passenger would ask him to clarify. “Excuse me, did you just say you intend to fly over a mountain on our way to Germany?” If so, no problem. But just change the preposition to “into.” Suitably warned passengers and crew would have left Lubitz to fly all by himself. If the police didn’t quickly lead him off to interrogation for premeditating mass murder.

Pictures matter and words matter. For Lubitz to succeed in his intention, he had to hide it.

Would there be millions of abortions around the world every year if so-called news media provided the factual warnings that any informed news consumer deserves? That any mother has a right to?

The editors know the abortion facts and images very well. And precisely because these facts are powerful, editors cloak and minimize them at every turn. They falsify that those who oppose massive permissive abortion are merely bigots and fanatics undeserving of attention.

If young people are to be dissuaded from smoking or drunken driving, graphic images of the disastrous consequences are allowed. But to dissuade victims from the abortionist’s chamber is unspeakable medievalism.

Perhaps because of their own uneasy consciences, many media people don’t like the idea of an afterlife very much, where a judging God awaits. But if this life on Earth is absolutely all there is, how terrible it is to routinely deprive babies of the only existence they’ll ever enjoy.

However, if there’s an afterlife ahead, each person was created by God to perform some small, medium, or mighty task here first, known to Him. If killing small, innocent bodies is praiseworthy, thereby putting souls on the fast track to Paradise, then every ruthless, homicidal dictator, and gangster deserves an award for being an angel-maker.

The U.S. Supreme Court’s seven-man pro-abortion majority in 1973 concocted specious law in willful ignorance. If it’s some kind of excuse for these misnamed “justices” more than 40 years ago, they never saw a sonogram. But for decades now, the media megaphone-mouths are all too aware of the facts, and grimly determined to deride them.

Andreas Lubitz withheld the facts from 149 other people so they would join his fatal journey.

What of media grandees like New York Times honchos who hide, mock, or twist the facts every day so that millions more continue to die?

At least Lubitz realized he was bound to share the same sad fate as his victims. Which is more than can be said of delusional media royalty, who think they won’t go before God with even one drop of blood on their hands. Instead of perhaps awash in blood up to their arched eyebrows.
