Biden At Grand Canyon . . . Famed Abyss Not As Vast A Gap As Joe Still Digging Through U.S.

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX — When Joe Biden showed up at northern Arizona’s famed abyss, the Grand Canyon, on August 8, he was next to a whale of a hole, but even it wasn’t as huge as the gap he keeps digging between himself and the American people.

This dementia patient can’t seem to grasp how people’s loathing and disgust toward him and the dangers he poses to national safety only grow as he prances — or stumbles — around posing as some sort of moral hero.

The bribes-clutching bad Catholic and sinner-in-chief Biden lied that a new land grab he was imposing near the Grand Canyon “is good for the soul of the nation” — even though protecting the nation’s soul is the last thing that the corrupt Biden cares about. What a strange choice of words.

However, ramming through the land grab that couldn’t pass Congress satisfied left-wing Democrats’ hunger for ever-more government control of land.

Commentator Jim Sharpe on the Phoenix area’s KTAR Radio (92.3 FM) said on August 7 that he hoped Biden wouldn’t create “with the stroke of a pen a new vast federal national monument making 1.1 million acres of Arizona land public land,” even though Arizona is “a state that already has less than 20 percent of its land in private hands.”

If Biden’s goal was to prevent extracting uranium, Sharpe asked, “Can’t we stop the mining without seizing everything around it for miles and miles and miles?”

Ever since he set out to steal the presidency from Donald Trump, Biden has boldly lied, including claiming that Trump said there are “good Nazis,” and that Biden is fighting to save the soul of America.

Arizona State Senate Republicans issued an August 8 news release noting that they had just held an emergency meeting against the land grab in the northwestern Arizona city of Kingman, about 175 southwest of Grand Canyon Village.

In Kingman, the news release said, “they voted to formally oppose the move that promises to adversely impact the state’s economy and our national security by devastating critical industries like mining and cattle ranching.”

“This thinly veiled effort to appease his radical environmental base as he campaigns for re-election will have dire consequences for all Arizonans,” the news release quoted Senate Majority Leader Sonny Borrelli. “We strongly condemn this dictator-style land grab that will greatly hurt Mohave County and further limit private and state land resources needed for our economic viability.”

“Halting uranium mining in this region will only promote our country’s dependence on Communist China for the minerals needed every day to support our energy supply,” Sen. Frank Carroll said in the release. “Even the FBI has sounded the alarm that China is the greatest long-term threat to our nation’s ideas, economic security and national security, yet President Biden is welcoming a greater reliance on this government with this action.”

“This move will have drastic implications for the livelihoods of our cattle ranchers who have relied on this land for generations,” the release quoted Majority Whip Sine Kerr. “There are no better stewards of the land than our farmers and ranchers. The fact that they were left out of the discussion process is infuriating and just wrong.”

The Arizona Sun Times posted on August 9 that State GOP Rep. Cory McGarr said, “This has nothing to do with the environment, this doesn’t have anything to do with cultural lands or anything like that. Those are excuses that they’re using to make sure we are beholden to other nations.”

Down south of the Grand Canyon in Phoenix, conservative radio talk hosts lost all patience with babbling Biden and the threat he poses to the U.S.’s very existence.

After talk host Seth Leibsohn (KKNT, 960 AM) raised the topic on August 9, The Wanderer asked Leibsohn for a comment. He quickly replied, “Joe Biden is a threat to our national security because he is non compos mentis. His vice president, who may have her wits, is even more vacuous. We may deny it all we want. Our enemies don’t.”

Talk host Bill Brady (KFNX, 1100 AM) on August 9 said Biden has no principles, no character, and is a pathological liar who doesn’t enunciate because he doesn’t believe any of his own words. “The guy’s a dope. . . . He knows he’s lying.”

People “can’t get rid of him fast enough. He’s a dangerous man. . . . I sure hope the next president can get us out of it,” Brady said, referring to Biden creating the new national monument that forbids mining for badly needed uranium.

Which means that the U.S. will become more dependent to obtain uranium from Russia.

Phoenix-based national talk host Charlie Kirk had Mike Davis as one of his guests on August 9. Davis’ work includes being former chief counsel for nominations to U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) and is founder and president of the Article III Project, which “defends constitutionalist judges and the rule of law.”

Davis told Kirk’s listeners that the American people have to tell “Marxist Democrats that their puppet Joe Biden” is an “evil shell of a human being.”

Trump must be reelected in 2024, Davis said, despite the all-out lawfare of the Democrats to drive him from the scene. “They’re just trying to beat us into submission as a country. . . . It is not a crime to challenge elections.”

A Wall Street Journal editorial on August 8 criticizing Biden’s “gift to Putin” said: “With a stroke of his pen, President Biden . . . walled off from development nearly a million acres of land that includes some of America’s richest uranium deposits. This is another monument to the administration’s destructive energy policy.”

The editorial said “the land also includes America’s only source of high-grade uranium ore that is economically competitive on the global market. The U.S. imports about 95 percent of uranium used for nuclear power reactors, mostly from Kazakhstan, Canada, Russia, and Australia. Russia is the U.S.’s third biggest uranium source…. Vladimir Putin sends his thanks.”

Posted online, the editorial was illustrated with a photo of a grinning Biden outdoors wearing his childish baseball cap, as if an adult’s fedora would be too much for him. The editorial hoped for a legal challenge to his land grab.

Arizona Catholic Ann Howard told The Wanderer that “Biden probably went to the Grand Canyon because it is the only place in Arizona where he has the best chance of not having pictures of illegal aliens jumping the border behind him [to] hit the news.”

Quite true that Biden confined himself to northern Arizona rather than jet the few hundred miles south, to where his intentionally rabid open-borders mania is destroying the U.S. day by day.

Liberal Democrat mayors in New York City and Boston are depriving U.S. citizens of resources that they divert to “migrants” and even are asking private individuals to house the overwhelming throngs of newcomers at their own residences.

The unending flood actually is “illegal immigrants,” but the left-wing lie which grows shakier by the day is that they’re merely “asylum seekers.”

On August 8 Fox News reporter Bill Melugin posted photos of cartel gang members carrying rifles and wearing body armor as they illegally crossed into Texas through the Rio Grande Valley. Melugin wrote: “Fronton, TX, is a heavy cartel area with significant drug smuggling. Border Patrol sources tell me armed gunmen are frequently encountered there.”

Biden consented to an interview with The Weather Channel while he and the interviewer sat next to the Grand Canyon, he wearing his ball cap.

Trying to tee up a softball question about the massive invasion of illegal immigrants, the interviewer asked, “Is it the responsibility of the U.S. to protect migrants who might be fleeing extreme weather in their countries?”

Ignoring how his open-borders policies have overwhelmed and throttled Democrat-led U.S. cities that are begging Biden to close the border, he replied that “the United States should do everything it can to help people who are in desperate need and have no other means of help….It’s just who we are. We’re the United States of America.”

He then rambled off in his dementia to talk about “replacing every single lead pipe in America.”

Biden didn’t bother to try to explain why some of these people may pass through dozens of other countries before presenting themselves to be cared for by U.S. taxpayers.

In his talk to create the monument, Biden said that when he visited the Canyon as a young senator, he looked around and thought “this is God’s cathedral….It just is so magnificent” — another instance of the bad Catholic Biden trying to distract people from his unrepentantly mortally sinful public life by digging up a little God talk.

An August 5 NBC News report said that despite this summer’s heat, more than 1,300 border-crossers come into southern Arizona every day.

Longtime Arizona rancher John Ladd told Fox News on August 9 that 15 people every hour come in just through his ranch. When a Fox interviewer asked Ladd about Biden going to the Canyon but not south to the border, the rancher replied, “I think it’s deliberate from Biden to change the demographics of America. . . . It’s getting worse every day.”

Border Patrol agents are kept busy doing paperwork rather than being out on the border, Ladd said. Asked what the one thing would be that he would say if Biden came by his house, Ladd replied, “I’d tell him he’s an idiot. That he is ruining America.”

Southeastern Arizona resident Cindy Kolb posted a YouTube video at Facebook on August 9 about a congressional hearing held there, in Sierra Vista in Cochise County. She said it showed “the ugly facts about the border and extreme dangers we face living here in the border region here in Cochise County. The entire country economy is suffering.”

It was a joint hearing on Biden’s border policies by the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees. Committee member Andy Biggs (R., Ariz.) said this was an official congressional hearing, so it was curious that none of its Democratic members attended.

The hearing was on C-SPAN so, Biggs joked, it truly was official.

Although southern-border invaders historically have been a problem, the numbers have skyrocketed under Biden’s policies. In a Fox News segment about the joint hearing, a large graphic showed that Southwestern border encounters had soared from 309,471 in 2020, Trump’s last year as president, to 1,789,605 in 2023 just through June, only half a year.

Extrapolating, that would be around 3.5 million for all of 2023.

At a time of political turbulence, a further strange note occurred when, within less than two weeks, two dead bodies were found separately on the grounds of the Arizona State Capitol.

As of August 7, the Associated Press reported that they hadn’t been identified and cause of death wasn’t established.

The AP said: “Bart Graves, a DPS spokesperson, said investigators have not ruled out whether both people were experiencing homelessness or if their deaths were heat-related. The Maricopa County medical examiner will determine the cause of death, he added.”

There are some poorer areas near the Capitol, including a large homeless camp.
