Biden, You’re No Mother Teresa . . . Kamala Harris And Her Sidekick Wish You’d Genuflect To Them

October 11, 2020 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

How clearly does Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden understand his own thinking when he tackles the traditional Christian stand against permissive abortion? That remains a timely question when his thought processes on public display on many topics have raised eyebrows around the world, although not so much in skewed newsrooms.
At the October 7 Salt Lake City vice-presidential debate, running mate Kamala Harris paid Biden the following tribute, although the topic eliciting it wasn’t abortion: “The one thing we know about Joe, he puts it all out there. He is honest, he is forthright.”
(Of course, that’s not how Harris viewed Biden when she flattened him at a Democratic candidates’ presidential debate last year, leaving him looking downward like a shamefaced schoolboy — although the unappealing Harris proceeded to drop out of that race until Biden resurrected her, of all people, a West Coast pro-abortion, anti-Catholic harridan, to be “Catholic Joe’s” running mate.)
Biden’s plainly questionable cognition in 2020 earned him the sobriquet “Dementia” — although not among the journos who were beside themselves with questions about the usually robust President Trump’s health when he spent three nights at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for the coronavirus as October began.
The left-wing New York Times quickly speculated about having to remove ill Trump from the Republican ticket, hardly the first time the Times looked for any excuse to dump him. But if we’re into health speculations, imagine how sickly Biden would have held up under COVID-19.
When Biden has been asked about his pro-abortion advocacy, he passes off pro-life philosophy as if it’s unique to the Church instead of having been the general rule in U.S. secular law — enacted by non-Catholic majorities in legislatures — until the U.S. Supreme Court overthrew it nationwide overnight with the astounding ukase of Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton.
Democrat Party strategists try to play abortion as only one of many issues for Catholics, with most issues of charity best addressed by the federal government. So if Biden supports, say, nine big-government programs, he’s home free. Problem is, that directly opposes the most famous Catholic charitable worker of the last half-century, Mother Teresa, who said abortion is the preeminent issue, even while personally up to her sleeves in other work, too.
Biden treats this Church requirement as some sort of peculiarity, as if he is being asked about, say, making it mandatory for everyone in the U.S. to do the Sign of the Cross with holy water while genuflecting. (If only Biden was being asked about contentious mandated face masks for everyone instead — better genuflect to him right away, then.)
Why does Biden think the Church opposes abortion at all? His liberal political pals make a show of scoffing at Church requirements. If this is just some clerical peccadillo, why not say nuts and be done with it? On the other hand, if the Church and scientific knowledge — think: sonograms — are in agreement, how can Biden so casually shrug off massive infant slaughter?
Is he so casual about standing up for endangered species? Only if the endangered are human.
He accepts this Church teaching, Biden says, but he won’t impose it on others. Because the topic is slaughtering tens of millions of defenseless preborn infants, Biden shows remarkable condescension. The slaughter isn’t to his personal taste, you see, but most people of every other religion and none are clamoring for this bloodletting, and how dare Joe oppose them?
Actually, imposing his views on everyone else suits Biden just fine, as long as he’s forcing people to be radically pro-abortion instead of pro-life.
Biden boasts that he wants to lock permissive abortion into U.S. law. He wants to force taxpayers to pay for countless permissive abortions throughout pregnancy. He wants to chase down some of those nuns he supposedly loves so much and throttle them with a resurrected Obamacare mandate to pay for abortion and birth control against their conscience. Where did “Catholic Joe’s” modesty go?
If Biden accepts Church teaching that this is the slaughter of innocents, wouldn’t he at least want to remonstrate with abortion proponents against their falling into horrible error? On the other hand, there’s no patience at all from Joe in promoting abortion. Elect him president and he’ll ram it all through, nuns’ consciences be damned.
That Biden thinks he can get away with this doubletalk, expressed as the supposed humble obedience of a practicing Catholic who accepts this Church nonsense despite its plain irrationality, shows that Biden knows the games he can play when the megaphone is held by a deeply dishonest dominant media.
Hardly had Harris begun the October 7 debate than she lied that Trump called the coronavirus pandemic a “hoax.” She lied that Trump called U.S. military members “suckers and losers.” She lied that just the previous week, at the first presidential debate, Trump “refused to condemn white supremacy.”
No matter how many times Republicans tell the truth, Dems and their media allies keep breathing life into lies. As for their wanting to breathe life into gasping aborted babies, that’s a different matter.

Court Packing

The moderator for the night’s debate between Harris and the cool and capable GOP Vice President Mike Pence was Susan Page, USA Today’s Washington bureau chief.
Pence made a passing comment on media members’ unfair selectivity and people’s dislike of putting up with that.
Probably predictably, Page framed the evening’s focus as leftists like. More often than not, Harris might as well have slipped Page her talking points. Here are a few.
Page observed there had been no fast economic recovery for Trump, but she didn’t seem to think that Democratic politicians’ economy-strangling lockdown policies were something Harris should apologize for. So Harris purred, “Of course now the economy is a complete disaster,” despite, she alleged, the great economic years of the Barack Obama-Biden administration.
And how about so-called “climate change”? Page repeatedly pressed Pence whether he believed in that. She didn’t mention that this theory is so uncertain, it had been, ahem, changed from “a new ice age” to “global warming” to “climate change” in recent decades.
Commenting that Trump nominated federal Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court to appeal to his supporters, Page reached for an abortion connection, asking Pence, the former governor of Indiana, if he’d want his state “to ban all abortions” if Roe were overturned.
Yes, as dominant media see it, the issue is always “banning abortion,” not the reality of protecting mothers and their preborn babies.
Pence turned this to pro-lifers’ advantage by saying that Trump and he hope Barrett will get a fair hearing in the Senate, unlike Democrats’ past behavior, including Harris’ grilling members of the Knights of Columbus as if such Catholics are unfit to be judges.
Harris tried to take the heat off by saying that Biden and she “are both people of faith,” and that if Biden is elected, he’d be “only the second practicing Catholic” to be president. She neglected to point out that the first, Democrat John F. Kennedy, elected in 1960, didn’t parade around as a pro-abortion fanatic while waving a rosary.
Although Pence repeatedly asked whether Harris and Biden plan to pack the Supreme Court as retaliation for Barrett becoming a justice, Harris refused to say. So, the answer would be yes.
After the debate, conservative pundit Dennis Prager said that since the 1960s liberals have had control of the High Court, but as soon as they think they’re about to lose that, they rush forward a court-packing plan in order to stay in command.
As for abortion, Harris told the debate that it’s only a matter of a woman’s choice about her own body.
Harris knows that’s a lie. While serving as California attorney general, and acting at Planned Parenthood’s behest, Harris had her agents raid pro-life journalist David Daleiden’s residence to confiscate his investigative materials about the profitable traffic in body parts. Not women’s bodies. Babies’ bodies.
Evita Duffy recalled at The Federalist conservative website on October 7, “Harris sent armed agents to steal an undercover journalist’s computers and camera equipment and then attempted to throw him in prison.” Such respect for the Constitution, Kamala!
Another way that Biden’s “person of faith” Harris wanted to criminalize pro-life activity while she was attorney general was trying to force California pro-life pregnancy centers to promote abortion. What a wild woman “Catholic Joe,” uh, chose to put on the ticket with him.
The New York Post posted an article by Thomas Glessner on October 7 saying, “It would have been akin to the government forcing Hindu temples to promote hamburgers, Alcoholics Anonymous to advertise Johnny Walker, and the American Cancer Society to boost Camels. This was the outcome Harris wanted. The pro-abortion-rights group NARAL later honored Harris for her work by giving her its ‘Champion of Choice’ award.”
However, Glessner noted, this was too much even for the U.S. Supreme Court, which threw out Harris’ conscience-trampling law in 2018.
Moderator Page pushed another media theme, that Trump has refused to commit himself to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the election.
Sure, sure, Ms. Moderator, Trump will grasp a scimitar between his teeth, strap on ammunition belts, and dance around the White House roof in defiance.
It was left to Pence to make a very pertinent observation that dominant media hate to hear. It’s the Democratic Party that never accepted Trump’s victory in 2016 and has fought every step of the way to try to throw him out, including spying on him and impeaching him. Hillary Clinton, Pence recalled, said that Biden should never concede the election results to Trump.
Of course, Page didn’t ask anything about Harris’ radical pro-abortion record, nor express any curiosity about how her running mate can claim to accept Catholic teaching while boasting of his plans to defy it when the issue is directly, intentionally induced deaths for tens of millions of innocents of any future religion.
Nor did Page suggest that Democrats bear blame for months of left-wing rioting, looting, and arson by their supporters, criminality that needs to be quelled and punished.
New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin posted on October 8 to note that Page was yet another biased debate moderator, “playing an outsized and inappropriate role. She did that with her questions, which sounded like they were ripped from the headlines of the Trump-hating Washington Post and New York Times. Posed as questions, they conveyed an obvious sense of favoritism to the Democrats’ agenda.”
Harris claimed that Biden has a history of “lifting people up.” Did she mean, except when digging down for babies’ graves? Or perhaps she referred to lifting his own family members’ fortunes high with shady foreign deals?
Let’s hope Harris and Biden soon are consigned to a rueful contemplation of what they might have been, and how they threw it away.

Abortion Advocates No Longer Consider It “A Necessary Evil,” They Celebrate Killing Babies

Last week, Kamala Harris became the first vice president in U.S. history to make a public visit to an abortion clinic.
