Catholics Must Hold Hillary Accountable

By REY FLORES

My friend Brian Burch who heads CatholicVote.org has launched an ongoing campaign this election season which I encourage us all to take part in until Hillary Clinton’s campaign realizes that they messed with the wrong tribe.

In an email sent out October 12 by Catholic Vote.org, Burch starts out with this message; “Two words Hillary Clinton should use at her morning staff meeting: ‘You’re fired!’,” referring to Clinton staff caught demeaning Catholics and evangelicals in recently released hacked emails by Wiki

Leaks.

Of course the likelihood of Clinton firing any of her crooked campaign staff is nil, particularly for insulting Catholics. We’re more likely to see Clinton reward that kind of misbehavior.

Burch goes on to explain in his email about how these recently “leaked” email transcripts bring to light what Clinton’s staffers truly think about Catholics and evangelicals, referring to us as “unaware” and “severely backwards,” painting us Christian Americans as a bunch of antiquated religious zealots who are out-of-touch with their Godless modernist utopian agendas.

Burch writes about “an email exchange entitled ‘Conservative Catholicism’ between Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, campaign spokesperson Jennifer Palmieri, and John Halpin, a staffer at the Clinton-allied Center for American Progress.

“In the email thread Halpin mocks News Corp CEO Rupert Murdoch and Robert Thompson, Managing Editor of Wall Street Journal, for raising their kids Catholic.

“Halpin writes about these Catholics: ‘They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy….’

“Clinton spokesperson Palmieri agreed: ‘I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion. Their rich friends wouldn’t understand if they became evangelicals.’

“Halpin replied: ‘Excellent point. They can throw around “Thomistic” thought and “subsidiarity” and sound sophisticated because no one knows what the hell they’re talking about’.”

While I am not surprised by any of this ant-Catholic bigotry coming from the Democrat radical left, especially from Clinton’s campaign, the fact of the matter is that the truth has been brought to light, and we must hold Clinton accountable for running a bigoted campaign, and having hired bigoted staffers who think little to nothing of Christians.

Burch asks: “Aside from their blatant bigotry and ignorance about the philosophy and social teachings of Catholicism, does anyone notice a pattern here?”

Yes, absolutely we all see a pattern here. Clinton and the Washington, D.C., insider elitist establishment see Christians as a bunch of “bitter clingers to their guns and bibles,” as President Barack Obama once said years ago.

Apparently when you live high on the hog on taxpayer dollars for most of your life and your political career, you lose touch with the common man — like us. Hillary Clinton has sat in so many limousines and private jets and globe-trotted so much that even her longtime trusted confidant Podesta is on record saying, “I know she has begun to hate everyday Americans.”

It isn’t enough that a few weeks back while speaking to some of her high-dollar donors at a private fundraising event, Clinton referred to half of us Trump supporters as “a basket of deplorables” and downright “irredeemable.”

Her hatred for us average Jesus-loving riffraff is being revealed more and more each day as additional hacked emails continue to expose this fraud and hypocrite.

Burch also writes in his email:

“Make no mistake, had Clinton staff and allies spoken this way about other groups, they would be dismissed. Just imagine if Clinton’s spokesperson was caught calling prominent Muslims or Jewish converts frauds for embracing their faith and mocking them for doing so because it was socially acceptable.

“This morning we called on Jennifer Palmieri to resign immediately from the Clinton campaign.”

Not only should we demand the resignation of Palmieri, but I’d go further and ask for Podesta to resign as well, and demand a public apology from Hillary Clinton herself. If we allow this kind of religious bigotry to go unchecked, imagine how much worse it can get if Clinton does actually become our next president.

Christian persecution is nothing new in America. We’ve been fighting this battle for a long time now, but it’s time to fight back a lot harder now because our very existence as Christians in America may be in much bigger jeopardy than you can imagine.

The incredible display of smugness, elitism, religious bigotry, and superiority by the Clinton campaign is inexcusable. Please share this information with as many people that you know who are fed up with these politicians and their condescending sense of entitlement.

In a late-breaking development reported by LifeSiteNews, Republican vice-presidential nominee Mike Pence called on the Democratic presidential nominee to retract anti-Catholic statements made by members of her campaign staff and declared that the Clinton campaign should apologize.

“If only on behalf of her Catholic running mate, Hillary Clinton should denounce those bigoted, anti-Catholic, anti-evangelical remarks and her campaign staff should apologize to people of faith and do it now,” Pence said October 12 before students at Liberty University.

Contact Hillary’s campaign now and let them know you are disgusted by the anti-Catholic comments made by spokesperson Jennifer Palmieri. Visit CatholicVote.org for contact information.

And, of course, the best way to show your outrage is to vote for Donald Trump.
