Devastating News In December’s Census Report

On December 21, the U.S. Census Bureau issued a chilling report. “Estimates Show Slowest Growth on Record for the Nation’s Population,” the headline read.

The official government report continued: “Between July 1, 2020, and July 1, 2021, the nation’s growth was due to natural increase (148,043), which is the number of excess births over deaths, and net international migration (244,622). This is the first time that net international migration (the difference between the number of people moving into the country and out of the country) has exceeded natural increase for a given year.

There’s a lot more to this significant story. First, the political angle:

On July 21, 2020, President Donald Trump emphasized the importance of Census data. He issued a Memorandum entitled “Ensuring American Citizens Receive Proper Representation in Congress.” In an accompanying statement, he announced his intention to exclude unauthorized immigrants living in the U.S. from Census population counts for purposes of redrawing congressional districts in 2021. Legislatures in Texas, Arizona, Missouri, and Nebraska had requested that he do so.

“There used to be a time,” he wrote, “when you could proudly declare, ‘I am a citizen of the United States.’ But now, the radical left is trying to erase the existence of this concept and conceal the number of illegal aliens in our country.”

Last month Kamala Harris maundered about “the greatest national security issue facing America.” It’s the threat to “our democracy,” she told an interviewer. But behind the scenes her enablers are shamelessly attempting to corrupt our elections by inviting massive and illegal voting by non-citizens.

On December 18, 2020, the Supreme Court declined to rule on a case brought to contest Trump’s Memorandum. “The President, to be sure, has made clear his desire to exclude aliens without lawful status from the apportionment base. But the President qualified his directive by providing that the Secretary should gather information ‘to the extent practicable’ and that aliens should be excluded ‘to the extent feasible,’ ” the Court’s unsigned opinion read. “Any prediction of how the Executive Branch might eventually implement this general statement of policy is no more than conjecture at this time.”

But why wait for the Court to rule? Even the Census Bureau has a Deep State faction, and this past August, the New York Times cited the Census leaking bureaucrats to brag about “How the Census Bureau Stood Up to Donald Trump’s Meddling.”

How did this come to pass? Apparently, these unelected civil servants asked, “Why wait for the Supreme Court,” and decided that they should settle the issue themselves. And sure enough, last month’s Census Bureau Report does not distinguish between aliens legal and illegal.

As usual, the Times was merely reflecting the New York Left’s view that Americans do not have the right to know. Unsurprisingly, the New York City Council drove that point home last month when it passed legislation that will allow nearly 800,000 New Yorkers, including 622,000 green card holders, “dreamers,” and assorted other non-citizens to vote in the city’s elections.

Even Bill De Blasio, New York’s outgoing socialist mayor, expects the Council’s action to be challenged. Nonetheless, whether or not the challenges succeed, the Left has proven that Trump was correct: they want illegals to be allowed to vote legally — and, as Trump pointed out, they don’t want Americans to know just how many millions of new voters that radical change would send to the polls.

Not Supposed To Know

In 2005, officials in the George W. Bush Administration calculated that the total number of illegals living in the United States at the time was around 26 million, far greater than the “11 million” often invoked at the time and even today as the “best estimate.”

They never made that figure public.

Today, 17 years later, the vast majority of that 26 million would be eligible to vote this November — legally — if the policy of the New York Democrats were to become law nationally, or were declared to be U.S. law by Executive-Orderer-in-Chief Joe Biden.

And by the way, Mexicans living in the United States — both legal and illegal — are encouraged by the Government of Mexico to vote in Mexico’s elections at any of some 100 Mexican consulates located throughout the U.S. That invitation is also extended to Mexican natives who have become American citizens — and voters — as well.

While the Census report presents a daunting political picture, its cultural dimension will have an even greater impact in the long run.

Why? Because America’s “birth dearth” is escalating.

On the Feast of the Holy Family, the Washington Post published a major article gushing with praise for “Andy,” a charming chap who had finally “decided it was time for him to ‘step up’ and help with the family planning. So he did something that the mere thought of makes some men cringe: He got a vasectomy.”

Last winter, our valiant Andy “happened to see a local news story about discounts being offered during ‘World Vasectomy Day.’ He made an appointment that day.”

“The procedure was a total relief, almost like the covid shot — like I’m safe now,” says Andy. “I wanted to man up.”

The Post applauds. “With the Supreme Court set to decide the fate of Roe v. Wade next year and with more than 20 states poised to ban or impose restrictions on abortion depending on what the court decides, some reproductive rights advocates say it is time for men to take a more active role in both family planning and the fight for reproductive rights.”

And Andy is their man.

So the Bezos Blog is all-in for population control. But is anxious, very anxious, not to be misunderstood. So let’s make one thing personally clear:

“Advocates . . . are not pushing vasectomies as a replacement for the right to obtain an abortion, nor do they believe men should have a say in the decision to have an abortion.”

Details, details. Isn’t that interesting. We wonder if wives should “have a say” in a man’s decision to have a vasectomy.

But we digress.

Why The “Cringe”?

Vasectomy is “An act of Love, the ultimate way to be a good man,” says “the Vasectomy King,” a con man that the Post dug up from a swamp in Florida.

Hey — if a vasectomy is so loving, why is it such a hard sell? Why do folks like Andy “cringe”?

The Post wallows in Psycho-Slop, babbling on about the new level kindness and love unique to the sterilized male, but its reverie is haunted throughout by the deep-down and natural desire of men to be men. All the gender-bending prattle in the world just can’t manage to change that natural desire.

And neither will our beloved bishops, if past is prologue. In fact, as far as they’re concerned, the census report was chock full of good news.

Imagine if our shepherds had preached Humanae Vitae as vigorously as they have cheered illegal immigration over the years. December’s census news would have a decidedly different slant, describing a flourishing of American family life instead of a dreary and ultimately deadly decline.

But no. While the Post celebrates sex as sterility and abortion as liberation, our bishops cheer the census immigration figures and keep on asking for more. They ignore the law of cause-and-effect, wink at the erosion of the rule of law, and abdicate altogether their duty to teach the Natural Law.

But Kamala is smiling.
