Disgusted Nevada Mayor Becomes Republican . . . As Biden Snoozes, His Dreams Become U.S. Nightmares

April 14, 2021 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX — Under the presidency of weak and failing Democrat Joe Biden, there’s a feeling that all boundaries are powerfully ripped away, not only the ones on the trampled-down border.
On the meaning of money, the meaning of sex, the meaning of religion, the meaning of law, the meaning of human life, just about wherever one looks, Biden is the figurehead for socialists, deconstructionists, and whatever other radicals climbed aboard his malicious wagon on his establishment-protected trip into the executive mansion.
On April 6 the Democratic mayor of North Las Vegas, Nevada, John Lee, announced he was becoming a Republican because of what happened to the Democratic Party, and said he hoped many others will join his switch. With a population of more than 260,000 people, North Las Vegas is one of the largest cities in the Silver State.
In a letter at Lee’s website, votejohnlee.com, the mayor recalled what originally attracted him to the Democrats. Starting out as a dishwasher, he considered it the party of the working class.
But now, he said, because of his pro-life, pro-Second Amendment beliefs, his conservative voice isn’t welcome in “a culture of socialist conformity that erases freedom, opportunity, and liberty from the American canvas. . . .
“I’m not the only former Democrat who feels abandoned by the modern Democrat Party,” Lee added. “I know there are countless others who want to make the switch, because it means the difference between hope and despair for their children and grandchildren. And I want them to join me in making that switch.”
Under President Trump’s leadership, Lee said, the Republicans emerged as “a working-class party of opportunity, freedom, and hope.”
The Federalist conservative site said Lee said that if such a socialist takeover is happening in Nevada, “it’s happening everywhere.”
The Nevada Independent news site said Lee’s policy objectives are “smaller government, lower taxes, free speech, protect unborn life, protect the right to bear arms, and the embrace (of) the spirit of liberty that made America so great in the first place.”
Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s fairy tale of being the little Catholic boy from Scranton has been replaced by a cognitively impaired old man ready to tear everything down because his hungry ambition to be the biggest guy was denied for so long by American voters unappreciative of his greatness.
It hadn’t helped his ascent, either, when his serious lies and plagiarism were unmasked in the past. But in 2020 he became the establishment’s choice to unseat “America First” patriot Donald Trump by any means possible. However, the comfy establishment perhaps didn’t understand how malleable Biden would be for socialists.
Now left-wing historians have assured Biden that if only he rams through socialism, he will tower as a legend in history. He gulps this down while the nation says, “Gulp!”
In a column posted March 31 at the “American Greatness” site, conservative commentator Victor Davis Hanson noted 10 radical rules for changing America.
One rule is that masses of new illegal immigrants actually are preferable to American citizens, Hanson said, with the new arrivals deemed free from having to observe the coronavirus rules imposed on U.S. citizens. “Our elites believe illegal entrants more resemble the ‘founders’ than do legal citizens, about half of whom they consider irredeemable,” Hanson said.
Among today’s political canons, Hanson said that U.S. citizens are considered just “little children” who can’t be expected to provide an ID in order to vote, who must be lied to by the elite about COVID-19 rules, and, despite Biden’s energy policies, “are clueless about why it is good for them to pay far more for their gasoline, heating, and air conditioning.”
Laws are to be applied according to leftist ideology, Hanson said, which determines whether a rioter is to be punished severely, or much at all. “How useful the crime is to the larger agendas of the Left determines whether a victim is really a victim, and the victimizer really a victimizer.”
While government spending used to be regarded as having some sort of theoretical limits, and deficits involved real money that had to be paid back sometime, he said, “As we near $30 trillion in national debt and 110 percent of annual GDP, our elites either believe permanent zero interest rates make the cascading obligation irrelevant, or the larger the debt, the more likely we will be forced to address needed income redistribution.”

Downright Offensive

Sounding a similar tone in a column posted at Fox News, conservative commentator Liz Peek ran down a list of prevailing Democrat Party beliefs today. They included: Freeing criminals and taking cops off the streets will make neighborhoods safer; allowing massive, low-skilled illegal immigration will make the U.S. more prosperous; running up endless amounts of debt will never face a reckoning.
Also, Peek said, Dems believe that raising taxes will make everyone better off; men should compete in women’s sports because gender is only an idea, not a fact; censoring others’ ideas promotes freedom; handing out “free money” will create a society where work is rewarded; and the U.S. should sacrifice its industries on the altar of “climate change” although Communist China is a far worse offender.
Peek wrote: “Many of these ideas don’t make sense. Some are downright offensive. But all help explain why President Biden will struggle to attract support for his progressive programs.”
On March 29, Newsmax TV, continuing its reporting on the invasion by illegal immigrants due to Biden’s policies, ran an interview with Arizona rancher John Ladd, who said his land “darn sure isn’t a ranch anymore. It’s a law-enforcement playground to try to stop the flow of illegals coming in.”
Ladd told interviewer Grant Stinchfield that illegal entrants crossing his ranch near Naco — south of Tombstone, in southeastern Arizona — are “still hiding and running and combative. They don’t want to get caught here.”
Law enforcement was apprehending about 50 illegal immigrants a day on his property, the mustachioed Ladd said. “Bottom line is the only law we have down here now on the border is our sheriff. The Border Patrol is hamstrung.”
Guns and watch dogs are important to have around, he said, and houses aren’t being left unattended. “Our best watch dogs, they’re sleeping with us again. That’s what we depend on.”
Such is a small part of the chaos that bad Catholic Biden, brimming with socialist notions, has imposed on Southwesterners while he naps behind White House fences, Secret Service protection, and the propaganda screen deployed by dominant media.
A southern Arizona woman with family living on both sides of the international line lamented what’s being done to the existence of people south of the border.
The woman, who is well-known to The Wanderer but asked not to be named because of her security concerns, said on March 31 that those “left behind are the weakest, the oldest, the youngest and — to their eternal reward, please God — the strong, middle-aged who love family, country, and sense of duty toward their own. No promises, no money, no lure can tear them away.”
Instead of coming to the U.S. legally, with respect for its laws, history. and status as a constitutional republic, she said, the arrivals under Biden’s presidency are illegal, in remarkable numbers, and “most beholden to the cartels.”
When Biden had vowed to undo Donald Trump’s achievements for border security, the human and drug-trafficking cartels whooped with delight over the Democrat.
“Such trafficking is obscene and cruel,” the southern Arizona woman said. “It harkens back, and is analogous to, the slave traffickers of Africans to the Americas. In fact, it is almost identical.
“The slave sellers in Africa were their own fellow countrymen. The slaves were sold to traffickers who shipped the slaves to the Americas on ships, throwing the sick and the dead into the sea,” she said. “All this sea traffic was for the plantation owners in the South of the United States and for the newly emerging industrial class and greed-wrapped need for cheap labor.
“Now, it is the same essential deal. Strong teenagers, called ‘children’ for legal advantage, are brought by buses and caravans to the border,” she said, but instead of crossing the ocean, they cross a river in rowboats.
“Rowboats this time, full of teens for labor, trafficked moms, kids, babies, some of them thrown out because they are sick, weak, too heavy for the boats into the Rio Grande or abandoned in the deserts of the Southwest states where they lie, if not already dead, to die gasping with dehydration,” the woman said.
“Someday, after two or three generations, it will dawn on descendants how their ancestors were used and abused by their traffickers and American financial interests,” she said. “How they were used, kept from assimilating and flourishing by those same interests.
“And the rest of the story is already known by us all,” she said. “Not different in fact, just in the individuals and societal awareness. How about a consciousness-awaking movement? How about respect for all cultures, the rights of all to grow up in dignity in your own countries, cultures with your own extended families?”
If this “destructive movement of people” isn’t stopped, she said, someday there’ll be a television series “like Finding Your Roots, trying to help people finding their family members who were erased from their mind by the same type of vicious people who brought blacks here. History repeats.”
Her reference to finding roots harked to the 1977 television miniseries Roots, about tracing U.S. blacks’ forebears back to Africa who were brought here as slaves.
Another southern Arizona woman who asked not to be named because of security fears told The Wanderer that Biden has increased dangers in the border county of Cochise.
“In Cochise County what I witness personally and read comments from locals on Facebook is lots of load-vehicles pulled over — illegal aliens sitting on the ground, some handcuffed. Every event I have witnessed, almost every time I leave home, there is Border Patrol, sheriff, and DPS at the scene. We have an increase of hearing the Border Patrol helicopter often flying in and near rural neighborhoods and over the Huachuca Mountains. . . .
“We do not feel safe, nor do our neighbors and ranchers,” she said. “Biden has put us all in harm’s way 24/7/365, and he has nothing to say about this situation or is not capable of speaking about the flood of humans and drugs.”

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.

Catholic, conservative, orthodox, and loyal to the Magisterium have been this journal’s hallmarks for five generations. God willing, our message will continue well into this century and beyond.
