Eager Trump Audience . . . Not A Bit Tired Of Hearing About Need To Have Election Integrity

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX — Donald Trump’s election-integrity speech here once again underlined the remarkable contrast of the physically robust incumbent president who had strongly increased his total ballots from 2016 but still supposedly lost by around seven million votes in 2020 to a weak, befuddled, obviously declining man who mainly avoided the campaign trail.

Republican Trump packed the Arizona Federal Theatre in downtown Phoenix on July 24 with 4,000 people, while thousands overflowed outside, said Brian Glenn, a commentator on the scene for the Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN). The young people’s Turning Point Action organization hosted Trump for a “Rally to Protect Our Elections” during its convention here.

Trump belted out his talk for an hour and 47 minutes without exhibiting any of the stuttering dementia that putative President Joe Biden often falls into while being unable to draw crowds. Once again it was obvious why dominant left-wing media and the political establishment so fear the suggestion that the vigorous Trump actually won more voters than the frail, unappealing, left-wing radical Democrat Biden.

The Florida billionaire didn’t fumble in his pocket for notes, or stare at the floor while mumbling hesitantly, or lose his train of thought.

In a video that made the rounds shortly after this event, the elderly Biden explicitly says that the year 1973, when he entered the U.S. Senate, was “three and a half decades ago” — instead of actually nearly half a century. That’s not stumbling over a word; that’s showing Biden doesn’t know the length of his wearying D.C. career or what decade he’s living in.

The establishment may prefer avoiding the topic of Trump actually having triumphed in 2020, but when Trump brought it up here repeatedly, the audience cheered. If this was looking backward, they weren’t bored a bit. The rally, after all, was about protecting elections.

Deny it as Democrats may try, everyone still knows that thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic created by their Communist Chinese pals, Dems flooded the system with millions of extra ballots to create the illusion of an overwhelming win by a bleary man who deservedly should be sitting with a blanket over his knees in a retirement home.

Characteristically running late, Trump walked onstage for his scheduled 3 p.m. Phoenix appearance at 3:53 local time, began speaking at 3:56, and ended at 5:43 p.m. He emphasized the importance of election integrity, both for 2020 and the future.

Earlier in the summer, Trump spoke to tens of thousands of admirers at outdoor rallies in Ohio and Florida. More gatherings are planned later this year, which can be seen as the start of a new political campaign by the Florida billionaire.

Is it only by the grace of God that some strong adversary of the U.S. hasn’t already sized up cognitively impaired bad Catholic Biden and sent invasion troops here?

Or is that already occurring at Biden’s own invitation as millions of illegal invaders sweep unvetted into the U.S., bringing the COVID disease, drugs, cartel gangsters and their crime, along with illegal crossers who find it more alluring to let Washington tax money pay for their daily lives than to reform their own homelands?

Legitimate asylum-seekers were only a fraction of the tsunami, and could have applied from elsewhere without joining the border lawbreakers.

Conservative Republican political consultant Constantin Querard told The Wanderer on July 26:

“Trump’s visit made everyone happy. Trump fans were happy to have him back in town and thrilled to see him in person. The media were happy to have him back because, while they hate his politics, they love to cover him. He is still good for ratings and it gives them a chance to write lots of negative things.

“Even local Democrats were happy to have him back in town because it gave them a chance to act tough on social media and try to raise money,” Querard said, going on to name prominent Arizona GOP politicians who were happy to share the stage with Trump, seeking to demonstrate their closeness to him.

“So everyone got a boost out of Trump’s visit, especially election-integrity supporters he thanked by name, like Senators Kelly Townsend, David Livingston, Karen Fann, David Gowan, and others,” Querard said.

Referring to the audit examining the accuracy of the 2020 election ordered by the Arizona Senate, RSBN correspondent Glenn said, “Arizona could be the first domino to fall” where victories by Biden were under suspicion. “…The left will fight to the bitter end” over the results.

Enumerating some of Trump’s stands, Glenn said, “Donald Trump was the most pro-life president in our history,” as well as favoring religious freedom and Israel.

Biden, by contrast, is the most pro-abortion president, and proudly defies fundamental Catholic teaching.

A Disgraceful Election

Coming out to introduce Trump, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk said the organization couldn’t find a big enough venue here — apparently a reference to those left outside.

Trump quickly lauded the audience, saying, “You are the ones who will make America great again. . . . With your help, we will stand up for accountability and justice” and restore free elections.

After saluting the Arizona Senate’s efforts for election integrity, Trump drew a big cheer when he asked, “Does everyone here fully understand the 2020 election was a disgrace?. . . . Our nation is being destroyed.”

Saying “the truth is coming out” about “the crime of the century” brought more big cheers.

In his extemporaneous style, Trump wove in other topics like the national wave of dangerous lawbreaking, Hillary Clinton’s faked tale of Trump colluding with Russia, the corruption of presidential son Hunter Biden, the chaotic open border, the coronavirus vaccine, men competing in women’s sports, Biden’s “war on energy,” critical race theory, and “wokism.”

It’s okay if he actually lost the 2020 election, Trump said, but when it was stolen, “we have to fight.”

Trump cited some statistics that were presented by Arizona election-audit participants during a July 15 hearing in front of State Senate President Fann and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Warren Petersen, both Republicans.

Among these were 4,000 people voting who weren’t registered in time, 18,000 who voted but had their names purged immediately after the election, 168,000 ballots not printed on secure paper, and ballots without serial numbers — Trump wondered how many times they were counted repeatedly.

Biden officially beat Trump in Arizona by fewer than 11,000 votes, out of well over 3 million cast.

“We won the state of Arizona, and we won it decisively,” Trump told the Turning Point Action audience.

He cited the continued refusal of the Republican-majority Maricopa County supervisors to cooperate with the audit by providing material subpoenaed by the Senate. The county has said it turned over all that should be needed.

“They are fighting like hell” not to turn over the routers, Trump said. “What are they trying to hide?”

The Washington Examiner posted on July 15: “Members of the auditing team contracted by Senate President Karen Fann, which includes Cyber Ninjas and cybersecurity group CyFIR, said they need wireless routers and voting machine tokens to finish their work — access the county has denied so far.”

(See the story by Dexter Duggan on p. 1A of this issue of The Wanderer for additional details about the Maricopa County audit.)

Trump pointed out that he got millions more votes in 2020 than in 2016 but still lost, which never before happened to an incumbent president.

It’s amazing that Biden and Democrats are screaming for “voting rights” but don’t want to examine the 2020 results, Trump said. “The only way they get away with a scandal” is not to talk about it.

People aren’t going to want to vote again if they’re not confident about the results, he said, and the time for accuracy is now. “We don’t have the luxury to sit back and wait for the next election.”

After criticizing Arizona’s GOP governor, Doug Ducey, Trump said, “Sadly, even in red states, the RINOs are letting the radical left have their way on everything. . . .

“Joe Biden is allowing America to be pushed around, laughed at around the world,” Trump said, unlike during his own presidency. “We must reclaim the House, we must reclaim the Senate.”

Illegal-alien activity has increased by 1,500 percent in the Yuma, Ariz., border sector, since he was president, Trump said. “Biden’s open-border policies have blown it up to shreds so fast.”

Arizona has to pay staggering amounts for the illegal immigrants, he said, “and that’s going to be doubled and tripled.”

Americans have a heart and want to help people, Trump said, but no country can bring in these numbers from around the world.

Biden’s philosophy “is America last” while military generals learn “left-wing ideology” instead of being prepared to win wars if called on when necessary, he said.

The America First movement isn’t driven by a love for domination but love for the country, Trump said, and it won’t fall victim to “a radical group of Marxist maniacs.”

A retired Arizona Catholic attorney, Ann Howard, told The Wanderer on July 27: “Trump’s appearance at Turning Point of course focused on the Arizona forensic audit. In his usual rambling style of speech, which people seem to follow with rapt attention, Trump listed facts about the findings of the audit many people, even ardent fans, had not heard because of MSM silence.

“But Trump also put forth a list of the tragic policies of the Biden administration. He was warning us! Again, he was doing the job of the oh-so-biased, unprofessional press to say publicly what the press hides,” Howard said. “He listed some of the America-destroying policies of the Biden administration. Open borders. Shutdown of Keystone pipeline. Green New Deal.

“But he warned of the fact the Biden administration is pushing us beyond socialism toward Communism,” she said. “Trump said we are at the beginning of a Communist system. Radicals are seizing power and destroying everything we hold dear as Americans….They dismantle the rule of law, censor speech, take over the free press, imprison political opponents.

“I personally think this is most important message he gave. We need to heed this warning. We are truly a crisis away from tyranny,” Howard said.
