Even As Inflation Soars . . . Biden Devalues Pearl Of Great Price, Tossed Under Feet Of Muddy Swine

March 29, 2023 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX — The New York Post posted an editorial on March 20 noting both that a beloved $1 slice of local street pizza now costs $1.50 and that Joe Biden had just vetoed a bipartisan bill to allow retirement fiduciaries to focus on improving their clients’ investments.
No, no, said Democrat Joe. People’s 401(k) money should be encouraged into “woke” companies that aren’t turning a profit.
Fox News Digital posted a story on March 20 quoting various criticisms of the veto, including Oklahoma GOP Sen. Markwayne Mullin saying, “Biden administration’s reckless ESG rule proves nothing is off-limits when it comes to Joe Biden’s radical green agenda — even Americans’ hard-earned retirement savings.”
Bad Catholic Biden continued dispensing plenty of pain to Americans while napping his life away amid White House luxury. He puts hurt into our lives at every level, from about everything we eat to massive slaughter of defenseless preborn babies.
At my own parish, the $1 for coffee and doughnuts now is $2. The Dad’s Club breakfast for $5 now goes for $7. At the grocery store down the street, a loaf of house-brand bread and a can of house-brand mackerel each have doubled from $2 to $4 under Biden’s twisted regime. Even more so for a gallon of gas.
Biden keeps the printing presses roaring to spew out more worthless money for his ghastly spending that stokes historic inflation. What gives this green paper any value? The president crossing his fingers and passing gas?
Elite-level politicians have been at war for some time with the U.S. citizens whom they kick around like dogs, then gasp in amazement when these dogs bite.
Wall Street Journal editor-at-large Gerard Baker posted a repentant column on March 20 recalling how the George W. Bush administration had lied the United States into the Iraq war 20 years ago as a “cloud castle of fictions” — the kind of deceptions conjured up whenever useful for the leadership class.
Baker wrote: “There is a direct line between the deceptions worked on the American people about the war and the angry popular disillusionment with the performance of American political leaders that led to the rise of Donald Trump and for that matter the deep reluctance many Americans feel about support for Ukraine….
“Is there a word for the complete lack of self-awareness you need to possess to denounce Donald Trump and the new conservative populism,” Baker said, “even as you are principally responsible for the disasters that ignited it?”
Ever since Trump’s entry into politics, the anti-Trump battalions search for some way to destroy him, even while the disastrous globalist elite like Biden smirk and hector, apparently with no thought of ever being called to justice.
One of the prime characteristics of these left-wing globalists like bad Catholic Biden is their absolute obsession with promoting limitless permissive abortion — a sure sign of a degenerate society determined to commit generational suicide.
All aboard the train headed right off the cliff to obliteration are, among the abortion fetishists, the Democratic governors of New York, Kathy Hochul, California, Gavin Newsom, Illinois, J.D. Pritzker, and Arizona, the specially installed Katie Hobbs.
Not that society at large made this choice for eradication, but the moral lepers who seem to have a special talent to shove themselves forward, regardless of the ballot box, to where they can commit the most harm.
Few people convincingly can deny that, at the national level, Biden and his allies have any goal except the destruction of the United States, kindred nations, and traditional morality.
A news report from The Center Square, posted March 20 at The Arizona Sun Times, noted Biden’s latest goal to spend billions of dollars around the world to impose his twisted views on “gender.”
The story, by Casey Harper, began: “President Joe Biden’s 2024 budget proposal requests billions of dollars to advance his gender and sexuality agenda around the world, allocating far more taxpayer dollars to that than dozens of other spending priorities, such as stopping fentanyl from being smuggled across the southern border. . . .
“ ‘At a time of dangerous deficits and painful inflation caused by too much federal spending, the Biden administration is constantly seeking ways to waste even more taxpayer resources on ideological crusades,’ David Ditch, a budget expert at the Heritage Foundation, told The Center Square. ‘The obsession with “equity” permeates the entire Biden agenda, often at the expense of core federal duties and functions’,” the story at the Sun Times said.
In a column posted March 16 at Townhall, conservative social commentator Victor Davis Hanson noted similarities between the United States and the fall of the long-enduring Byzantine empire, with its capital of Constantinople.
“The once canny and shrewd Byzantines grew smug and naive,” Hanson wrote. “Childlessness became common. Most now preferred to live outside of what had become a half-empty, often dirty, and poorly maintained city.”
Christian Constantinople had lasted a thousand years after Rome, but the Muslim Turks defeated it and turned into their Istanbul.
Hanson counts off the ills. The pandemic of the Black Plague cut through the empire. Their military became anemic. They didn’t maintain their walls. They inflated their currency. They let the urban setting become dirty and dysfunctional. They underestimated their enemies.
“Like the Byzantines, Americans gave up defending their own borders, and simply shrugged as millions overran them as they pleased,” Hanson wrote. “Our once iconic downtowns, like end-stage Constantinople before the fall, are now dirty, half-deserted, dangerous, and dysfunctional. America prints rather than makes money, as its banks totter near bankruptcy.”
The ruling class cultivates decay and pronounces it progress.

Endangered Species

Here in Arizona, one of the gaggle of leftist columnists at the Phoenix-based leftist Arizona Republic tried to tweak out applause for fanatically pro-abortion Gov. Katie Hobbs because a poll supposedly showed Hobbs with 43 percent approval. This, said the liberal columnist, should be a warning to the Republican-majority state legislature.
Hmm, repellent Joe Biden has been polling in the low 40s — which probably actually means in the high 20s — for the majority of his presidency. Media-coddled Hobbs had been in the governor’s chair for only two-and-a-fraction months and she already attained Biden-level unpopularity, but the columnist pitches this as a dire warning to stupid conservatives.
Hobbs “is building a decent level of support,” claims the columnist. Really now? Whatever happened to a customary high approval in the early honeymoon days of a victorious candidate? Unpopular, basement-dwelling, reclusive Hobbs was installed into office by an establishment openly thwarting the electoral process lest Trumpish Republicans win.
Her talent is issuing vetoes and pushing today’s Democrat degeneracy agenda. Hobbs proclaims her desire to make sure her own daughter can have abortions. Which means aborting Katie Hobbs’ own grandchildren. How did Democrat politics slink so low? Surely, she should have a more generous view of her own immediate descendants’ lives, but not so.
Why didn’t Mama Katie abort this particular daughter whom Gov. Hobbs wants to give the freedom to abort her grandchildren? If that sounds like an awful question, it only confronts the cruel reality of permissive abortion that leftists treat as their highest sacrament arrayed in slogans and jargon.
This same Arizona Republic posted a piece on March 17 headlined, “Watch pregnant shark’s baby move around on ultrasound — Researchers hope studying pregnant sharks will improve conservation efforts, especially for endangered species.” Included was the live ultrasound.
And a long Arizona Republic feature was headlined, “ASU scientists hatch an egg-shaped tracker to study pregnant sharks and keep them alive.” It went into detail about efforts to protect these innocent, endangered lives.
Dominant-media people seem to have more of a soft spot for lower species than for their own kind, as soft as the spot on a baby’s head that attracts an abortionist about to do damage. If only human babies could convince their already-born enemies that they’re actually little sharks who will grow up and rip swimmers to pieces. How about that as a defense?
Meanwhile, The New York Times played a large feature on its March 19 front page about a struggling little family sandwich shop named the Old Station in Phoenix, beset by a swelling homeless population around it, “most of them with mental illness or substance-abuse issues.”
The Times story conveyed the increasingly hopeless situation of the kindly shop owners, always ready to lend a hand but being overwhelmed and seeing their precious business enterprise slide in value.
“Within a half-mile of their restaurant, police had been called to an average of eight incidents a day in 2022,” the Times said. There were at least 1,097 calls for emergency medical help, 573 fights or assaults, 236 incidents of trespassing, 185 fires, 140 thefts, 125 armed robberies, 13 sexual assaults, and four homicides.
“The remains of a 20- to 24-week-old fetus were burned and left next to a dumpster in November,” the story said. “Two people were stabbed to death in their tents. Sixteen others were found dead from overdoses, suicides, hypothermia or excessive heat.”
The Times’ dateline was this Western city, the capital of Arizona, where “an epidemic of unsheltered homelessness began to overwhelm Phoenix and many other major American downtowns” — but it might as well have been Constantinople from centuries ago.
Phoenix has had a succession of liberal uniparty mayors, the current Democrat Kate Gallego having succeeded Democrat Greg Stanton, who fancied that he needed to ascend to the U.S. Congress, and of course his dream was granted.
Liberal Democrat-run cities seem to take decay for granted but don’t get raked over the coals by their friends in dominant media.
On March 16 Phoenix afternoon daily radio talk host Seth Leibsohn (KKNT, 960 AM) chatted with conservative Sam Stone, who had been chief of staff to conservative veteran City Councilman Sal DiCiccio, who is being term-limited out of office.
DiCiccio had been a burr under the liberal establishment’s saddle, but in some magical way Stone, who had run in a March 14 special election to succeed DiCiccio, was overwhelmed, roughly 37 percent to 62 percent, by the victorious handpicked candidate of liberal Mayor Gallego.
Leibsohn noted ruefully that when the “moderate” candidate wins a primary, conservatives are expected to suck it up and vote for him in the general election. But, he said, that wasn’t the case around here when the conservative base’s people won.
A person merely had to think back to last August, when Trump-endorsed candidates triumphed in the Republican primary election. “Moderate” Republican Chairman of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Bill Gates quickly expressed his horror in interviews and hoped for a day of humiliation when such people would be taught a lesson.
As it happened, Gates and another “moderate” Republican, Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer — both of whom helped supervise the county’s general election — miraculously got their wish for defeating fellow Republicans when left-wing Democrats like Hobbs supposedly won the November election.
But does a day of reckoning draw near for politicians who elevate corrupt ideology over competence? As banks are tottering, New York Post columnist Charles Gasparino posted on March 20 that Biden Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen hasn’t been doing the job she was confirmed for.
“Top financial CEOs tell me she’s mostly MIA as our banking system shows serious signs of cratering,” Gasparino wrote. “In her two years as the government’s top banker, Yellen has failed to grasp the full magnitude of the problem because she has instead been too focused on other stuff like Ukraine, abortion, and all those progressive causes she’s championed.”
Remember when Yellen said permissive abortion helps the economy?
And then there was 80-year-old Biden’s laughable claim that he favored “gay marriage” decades ago, as a high-school student — even though, heading into the 2012 presidential election, he was saying that he and Barack Obama opposed it.
The Washington Examiner posted on March 15 that Biden “never supported same-sex marriage at any point in his 36-year Senate career and was nearly halfway through his two terms as vice president when he finally did so, shortly before former President Barack Obama announced a similar change of heart.”
The Examiner quoted White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre lying last year on behalf of bad Catholic Biden that he favored “gay marriage” way back when in fact no one did, and certainly not as the weaselly U.S. senator from Delaware.
The lesbian KJP said that “when it comes to marriage equality, that he has supported through — through his Senate days and as VP and now as president.”
As if this isn’t enough, Pope Biden the First and Most Trendy fantastically declared recently that people who oppose mutilating children sexually are “close to sinful” and “cruel.”

Turning Christianity
On Its Head

Conservative writer Tyler O’Neil observed that “Biden adopted religious language to advance a cause directly opposite from the official teaching of the Roman Catholic Church and from the witness of Scripture and Christian tradition for the past 2,000 years.
“He adopted the moral authority to declare sinful what Catholicism doesn’t consider sinful, and to advocate a teaching that contradicts Genesis 1:27, thus turning Christianity on its head,” O’Neil said.
Imagine the day that Biden appears at the Pearly Gates and St. Peter says, “Sorry, Joe, I’d been planning to let you in, but the Lord just changed His teaching on that.”
