Filling Hotels With Migrants . . . Making Americans Foot The Bill For Kicking U.S. Downhill

June 17, 2021 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX — Clueless Joe Biden probably couldn’t hurt himself any worse than to force groups of hundreds of illegal immigrants right into U.S. neighborhoods, but that’s what he chose to do. No longer is his border scandal many hundreds of miles away from aggrieved voters, but right in their faces on their streets, close to their snack stops, or next to their kids’ high school.
The Phoenix metropolitan area, like other places, has seen Biden’s gang start commandeering local hotels to provide free housing for recent illegal entrants before transporting them, also for free (except to U.S. taxpayers), across the nation. Maybe to your hometown. (See the June 10 hardcopy issue of The Wanderer, page 1.)
The AZ Free News website reported that the rambling three-story Homewood Suites in suburban north Scottsdale that reportedly has more than 1,200 beds was answering the phone now as “The Suites on Scottsdale.” The federal government suddenly started filling it with hundreds of entrants at the end of May on the main north-south drag of Scottsdale Road.
Reporter Corinne Murdock wrote: “ICE spokespersons didn’t tell AZ Free News why the surrounding communities weren’t given advance notice of the shelter being established. They also didn’t answer our question regarding how many other similar migrant hotels were established in the area. However, ICE did tell Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D., Ariz.) that they’d established similar shelters in Chandler and Phoenix.”
Murdock wrote that the hotel website says its rooms are “‘Not Available’ for the rest of the year.”
Local residents Lisa and John Seger joined two large, peaceful demonstrations against the federal action outside the hotel during the first week of June. Crowd estimates in local media ranged from 600 to 1,000 people.
John told The Wanderer on June 6 that as a Christian, he “point(s) to God for His guiding us to seek truth and to demonstrate His love in our request for justice. I feel the joy-filled conduct of the hundreds gathered as virtual strangers during these two peaceful protests prove this fact. We hold no anger towards those who in their heart of hearts are seeking what is best for their families; we only ask that our nation’s immigration laws are obeyed.”
In a June 1 statement, the City of Scottsdale said it “has no responsibility or oversight” over what the federal government decides to do on immigration issues.
Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, a Republican, told KFYI radio (550 AM) on June 3 that everyone knows, if you’re looking for an economical hotel, you don’t go to upscale Scottsdale.
Brnovich said that Biden won’t let alien felons be deported, nor will he let deportation orders be enforced against aliens.
Given Biden’s aim to resurrect the plans of his marionette master, Barack Obama, to attack single-family suburban housing under the title of “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing,” one can only wonder if this temporary free-housing manipulation of a foreign invasion nicely fits the strategy.
The Washington Examiner posted on June 3 that under his infrastructure plan, Biden pushes local governments to allow apartment buildings in neighborhoods restricted to single-family homes, which, critics say, “would change the landscape of towns and cities across the country and torpedo the American dream.”
The Examiner quoted former New York Lt. Gov. Betsy McCaughey that hypocrite Biden “has always had a passion for stately homes and swanky addresses,” living at spacious, wealthy properties in no danger of rubbing up against public housing. And that was before he entered the White House.
Hardly helping border tensions for U.S. voters is Biden’s clownishly laughing vice president, Kamala Harris, who flew high over the U.S. border, visited Guatemala on June 7 and told NBC television anchor Lester Holt: “We’ve been to the border. We’ve been to the border” when everyone including Holt knew she had not during the crisis.
Desperately trying to avoid the fact that Biden’s own proclaimed policies are responsible for the border surge, Harris tried other explanations like climate change. However, only a day earlier Guatemala’s own president, Alejandro Giammattei, said that when Biden took office, the policies changed, and “The very next day, the coyotes were here organizing groups of children to take them to the United States.”
Conservative Cong. Lauren Boebert (R., Colo.) had some fun by carrying a life-size cardboard Kamala to an incomplete Texas border fence. Boebert faced the prop toward Mexico and advised the stiff paper to look at “what you’ve done.”
Commentator Kyle Smith posted at the New York Post on June 8 that rather than honoring his feminist vice president, Joe Biden, like many men in trouble, threw this sacrificial lamb under the bus by tasking her as his border czar for the chaos he personally created.
As a side note, a person need only recall that Kamala used to be a California rather than national politician. Is it really possible that she never maybe made a little jaunt southward from San Diego to “TJ” — Tijuana? Eating dinner at the northern edge of Mexico isn’t the same as seeing coyotes abandon toddlers in the desert, but it technically would qualify as visiting the border.
Phoenix radio talk host Seth Leibsohn (KKNT, 960 AM) told The Wanderer on June 8 that it was a little late for Harris to start telling illegal immigrants now to stay away from the U.S. He said, “The border crisis is an obviously manufactured series of events that were unnecessary and rest solely with the statements and decisions of the Biden administration.
“When the president of Guatemala lectures the vice president on this point and the vice president’s only strategy — presumably being developed over the past three months — is to beg contumacious citizens in other countries not to leave their country for the U.S., you have made yourself the arsonist of a five-alarm fire,” Leibsohn said.
“And it won’t do to blame other countries, other administrations, or earthquakes and hurricanes,” he added. “You can care about America and Americans or you can prioritize others. When you think this country and your fellow countrymen are not and never were that great, it becomes ever easier to become ever softer on America while distracting people with wills-o’-the-wisp elsewhere.”

A Crime Family

Mary Ann Kreitzer, who runs Les Femmes — The Truth, a Catholic blog, noted the greater concern Biden’s administration has for illegal immigrants than for the United States’ own homeless veterans.
Kreitzer told The Wanderer on June 7: “There is something seriously perverse about putting those who break our laws and invade our country into comfortable hotels and giving them room service while those who defend our country are living on the streets, getting no intervention for PTSD, little medical care, committing suicide, etc.
“The Bidens are a crime family with traitorous ties to the Chinese Communist Party,” Kreitzer said, “so is it any real surprise that they couldn’t care less about those who serve our country? I suspect they hold patriotic Americans in contempt like Bill Clinton, who ‘loathed the military,’ and Obama’s preacher Jeremiah Wright, who said, ‘God damn America!’
“The Democrats are the racist domestic terrorists they’re always warning us against,” she said.
The Wanderer asked northern California conservative Catholic commentator Barbara Simpson why she thought Latino countries seem to produce so many bad governments for people to flee. She replied that “bad governing has nothing to do with religion or nationality….It’s the history of humanity on this planet.
“We’re dealing with human nature and the bad inclinations therein,” Simpson said. “That’s why a Constitution like we have is so important. We must be able to protect ourselves from our own government and the people in it who would destroy us for their own selfish motives. Therein lies a book!”
As for the current crisis, Simpson said, “Americans must feel their heads are spinning from the mixed messages from Washington concerning the calamity at our Southern border. Not only are thousands of illegals crossing the border almost at will, the hands of law enforcement have been tied in too many instances.
“Now, not only are the feds secretly flying illegals from the border to locations in interior states, illegals are being put up in hotels taken over for that purpose,” Simpson said. “Prime example is Scottsdale. . . . While area residents demonstrate against the feds, the placement of illegals in a first-class hotel continues, paid for by American taxpayers. This, while our citizens too often find themselves homeless because of job loss — and the government does nothing.
“Biden voters must wonder what’s going on,” she said. “Trump supporters know they have the answer.”

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.
