For Thanksgiving… Thank You, Mr. President

By REY FLORES

Every Thanksgiving for as long as I’ve written a column for The Wanderer, I’ve written about gratitude, as that is the reason for the holiday.

While I am grateful for many things and people which and who have come and gone in my life, the one constant which I am most grateful for is God.

This year, I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to President Donald J. Trump.

Thank you, Mr. President, for having the love of country that you have so readily demonstrated by your actions and not just by your words. You have been a true inspiration to me, despite the financial, physical, and family setbacks I have experienced during most of your first term.

Had it not been for your extolling the virtues of American exceptionalism in word and deed during this first-half of your first term, I would only be looking to end yet another day without hope for our country’s future.

To me, watching one of your moving speeches is ten times better than watching the Super Bowl and World Series combined. First off, what you do is of true importance. What these professional, over-compensated athletes do for the most part has little, if any, impact on our lives.

We often also hear terms like “he’s a rock star” or “what a superstar,” and what-not. You know those who do consider themselves political rock stars? Disasters like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. These two, like many more phony-baloney politicians, have nothing but their own selfish interests to pursue on the taxpayer’s dime, all the while lying to the American people.

You, Mr. President are no rock star. You are much better and much more than that. You are the President of the United States of America, and for the very first time in our lives, we finally have a leader who is truly a leader, and not just some stuffed suit taking up space and oxygen, catering to the demands of the jealous America-hating globalists.

You have no fear of offending people with facts and the hard truths so many have tried to suppress from the American people in order to keep “business as usual” in the D.C. swamp.

Thank you for sacrificing what I would call an almost a perfect life. Many fellow patriots whom I have spoken with have all agreed that you did not need to abandon your lavish and blessed lifestyle. You could have spent the rest of your days enjoying the many fruits of your hard work, business savvy, and successful business endeavors, but you didn’t.

For decades you had flirted with the idea of one day running for president, and many doubted you, but by the grace of our Living God, you did it! Our Father in Heaven put His heavenly hand on you and gave you the courage, and love for God and country, to become our president.

This was no accident; it is destiny.

I am grateful for your fearlessness in the face of so much adversity by the hostile, politically motivated, propagandist media jackals whom you so accurately call the “fake news” media. It was about time that we had a president who would call out these leftist, agenda-driven, Democratic Party operatives for what they are, fake journalists.

Thank you for shedding the light of disinfecting truth on these deceitful scribblers posing as journalists. They are shameless propagandists who care nothing about our nation and are only programmed like robots to attack you on a daily basis on their phony fake news cable shows.

One more thing about these fake news phonies and Democrats. Their constant and offensive accusations that you are some kind of fascist, racist, white supremacist and even a Nazi are all projections of their own self-hatred and intolerance.

When you use the word “nationalist,” they are either too stupid to understand, or completely willfully ignorant to acknowledge what that word truly means. I too am an “America first” nationalist, a Hispanic-American deplorable, and I am 100 percent behind you.

I want to thank you for strengthening our economy. While I myself have personally and professionally struggled due to some family and health issues this past year, I found that when I am running on all cylinders, the opportunities are truly there for any one of us.

I see my family and friends prosper like never before. I don’t envy their successes, I applaud them because when our citizens are doing well, our whole nation does well. We are brothers and sisters, all Americans who should always build each other up, not tear each other down.

Thank you for your much-needed increased support of our military and especially our veterans. For too long previous administrations neglected them, and even disrespected as well by the most recent one.

I also want to express my gratitude for your reminding us all that while we are a diverse country, we must not ever deny or forget our Judeo-Christian roots as a nation. During the failed Obama presidency, we were on a very slippery slope. We had a president and a secretary of state who were more sympathetic to the interests of Islam than to Christianity and Judaism.

When Christians could no longer enjoy the religious freedom guaranteed to us by God and our founding fathers — that is when things became scary. All of a sudden Christian business owners were being persecuted, and prosecuted, for simply not wanting to violate their Christian faith beliefs. Traditional marriage between one man and one woman was being redefined. Family was being redefined — even the ridiculous notion of 57 different genders became a pseudo-legitimate thing in our nation. Thank you for bringing us back to our God and country.

I cannot completely express my entire gratitude to you without mentioning our First Lady Melania Trump. Thank you for giving us a first lady who is proud of our nation, a beautiful and intelligent, warm and caring person who brings class back to the White House.

Thanks also to the entire Trump family for their resiliency and love of country. Despite the blatant liberal media bias and vicious attacks, you have all risen above their lowliness to show us how good, educated, and dignified people handle adversity.

And last but definitely not least, thank you for your administration and staff, particularly Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kellyanne Conway. Thank you for Justice Neil Gorsuch and Justice Brett Kavanaugh and so many others you’ve brought into leadership — too many to name.

Thank you for making America great again!

May God love and protect you and your entire family and administration, and may God bless America forever and always. Happy Thanksgiving Mr. President, and to all those who help make your presidency the best we’ve ever had.
