Illegal Means Illegal

By REY FLORES

How would you like it if a stranger broke into and entered your home, made himself a sandwich, picked up the remote control, and sat down on your recliner to watch TV?

Okay, let’s say this same stranger doesn’t necessarily eat your food, or sit down on your furniture to watch TV, and instead he washes your dishes, does your laundry, and sweeps and mops your floors. While this person may be a hard worker, he is still an intruder who had no business breaking and entering your home.

Imagine now if 11 million intruders, closer to 18 million in reality, broke into and entered millions of homes across the United States of America, and demanded that they not be removed. This is exactly what is happening in our homeland.

Our cities, our suburbs, our counties, our states, and this entire nation are our home. Anyone entering this country illegally might as well enter our homes and demand that we employ them, or actually support them, giving them food and shelter.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) estimates that it costs American taxpayers $113 billion each year for us to be playing cat-and-mouse with these illegals. Our nation has somehow been brainwashed into providing these people with all sorts of public welfare benefits, public education for their children, not to mention increased spending on law enforcement, incarceration, deportation, and court costs.

It is estimated that President Trump’s proposed border wall will cost $12 to $15 billion to build.

You do the math: a one-time $15 billion investment to build the wall vs. $113 billion each year just to keep perpetuating this problem.

Let’s also make it perfectly clear that while responsible stewardship of Americans’ taxpayer dollars shouldn’t even be up for debate, increasing security in our southern border also relates to the safety of our nation.

There has been an alarming increase of illegal border crossers from other parts of the world besides Mexico, including many suspected jihadists from the Middle East. It’s easy for these terrorists to infiltrate our borders by blending in with the Mexican and Central America illegals as they aren’t necessarily unlike each other in physical characteristics.

Another huge factor we must consider is the number of violent criminals who are entering our country, particularly the MS-13 Salvadoran street gangs who are perpetrating all sorts of violent crimes against legal immigrants and American citizens.

Sure, I understand we have our own criminals who are United States citizens and commit a variety of violent crimes as well, but these criminals are our problem. Why would we want to increase our amount of violent criminals from other countries like Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and now Middle-Eastern countries too?

No thanks, we’ve got enough problems like “shoot ’em up” cities like Chicago and Detroit.

Quite frankly, I’m tired of the bleeding-heart liberals, the #FakeNews media, wishy-washy social justice priests and entire dioceses, and of course the entire Democratic Party telling us that we are xenophobes and racists simply because we believe that America and Americans should come first.

Any governor or any mayor who declares his state or city to be a “sanctuary” needs to be removed from office immediately. Who in the world do these people think they are to defy our nation’s laws and compromise the safety and security of the American people?

Illegal means illegal. When people like President Trump say that they are implementing certain policies to better protect our borders, it’s all an issue of national security, not racism, not xenophobia, not anything but an effort to keep our nation safe.

Just last week, a troubling and racist organization, the National Council of La Raza, called President Trump’s executive order to build a border wall a “declaration of war” on the Hispanic community equivalent to the slave trade.

La Raza is Spanish for “The Race,” as if La Raza were the only race which matters. Think Black Panthers or Ku Klux Klan: La Raza for all intents and purposes is a racist Mexican supremacist organization which embraces the idea that they will reclaim the southwestern United States as part of Mexico.

Janet Murguia, president of the National Council of La Raza, told The Washington Post: “For Latinos, this is an existential moment. Our government has declared war on our community. Think I exaggerate? Imagine scores of ICE agents sweeping through your neighborhoods, stalking people leaving church, or going to the movies. People will be afraid to visit doctors; children will be afraid to go to school; crimes will go unreported.”

These are all scare-mongering tactics by La Raza. ICE agents will be targeting violent criminals with lengthy records who have been previously deported but somehow managed to find their way back in here. There’s not going to be any “stalking” of churches or schools.

It must be said, however, that while many Catholic priests and parishes remain silent about real injustices like abortion, they sure like to open their big mouths about helping the “poor refugees” and illegal immigrants. Some priests will also let their parishes be used as sanctuaries for illegal immigrants.

Just as any federal funding should be withheld from cities and states declaring themselves to be “sanctuaries,” any church housing illegals should have its tax-exempt status promptly revoked for a minimum of one year. The local bishop should be penalized as well for not having done more to discourage this type of illicit activism.

If La Raza and the Democrats all truly want to help these illegals, they should start knocking on Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto’s palace doors and hold him and the Mexican government accountable for having created such an unstable economy and environment that their own citizens have to flee here illegally just so they can eat.

Let’s ask Nieto who is in charge — him or the drug cartels? Why is he afraid to do anything about that, either?
