Joe Biden Is Clueless… His Handlers Are Not

By CHRISTOPHER MANION

The headline from the Associated Press says it all:

“The White House is playing host to roughly 50 Democratic state lawmakers from 31 states this week as legislatures prepare for their upcoming sessions, aiming to talk over strategy on top issues like climate change, gun violence, abortion rights and voting rights.”

Dementia Joe might not know what day it is, but his handlers — drawn from the highest ranks of a radical team of seasoned Obama veterans — have their eyes on the prize: after the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, and with divided government now on Capitol Hill, the states are the new battleground for issues that go far beyond abortion.

The AP story is typical of the Deep State Media — it reads like a Democrat Party Action Memo. Who are the actors? Party leaders from key states.

Georgia House Minority Leader James Beverly was invited because Georgia is key to Democrat victories in 2024. GOP Gov. Brian Kemp handily defeated Democrat election denier Stacy Abrams in November for a second term, and Ralph Warnock’s victory blows away Abrams’ allegations of racist voting laws — but so what? The media concentrate instead on distracting us with Donald Trump’s alleged tiff with Kemp regarding Georgia’s 2020 election results.

Efforts by Democrats and their media allies to divide the country are also designed to provoke divisions within the GOP as well. That’s why the White House invited Florida House Minority Leader Fentrice Driskell to the meeting. Democrats need to attack GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis from the inside, and she’ll use her unique position to do so.

DeSantis, coming off a strong victory over Charlie Crist, has been widely touted as a 2024 presidential contender. Florida Democrats have only small minorities on both sides of the Capitol in Tallahassee, but they boast a powerful and quite wealthy base of Democrat activists and donors. They’ll be working closely with their influential media allies to focus on dividing Trump and DeSantis supporters in Florida, an effort which we see under way nationwide as well.

At first blush, the White House invitation to Idaho House Minority Leader Ilana Rubel appears to be a misprint. Idaho is among the most conservative states in the Union, and Republican supermajorities rule on both sides of the Boise Capitol. So what’s going on?

Well, Rubel, 50, is a graduate of Georgetown University and Harvard Law School. With those credentials, she joins her fellow alumni who populate the elite institutions of the Left throughout the Democrat establishment. She’s part of The Hive, as Joe Sobran would put it.

But that’s not all. Rubel is a key player at Fenwick & West, LLP, one of Silicon Valley’s most prominent law firms focusing on globalization and technology. She was elected a partner there in 2007. She is hard-wired into the Big Tech Deep State. The Obama team of Biden handlers undoubtedly has big plans for Rubel. They need her to solidify their control of the tech sector as they build their astoundingly successful proto-tyrannical juggernaut.

Building The Tyrant Team

The White House’s stated goals for last week’s meeting address “a to-do list for the upcoming legislative session, though meeting those goals will be nearly impossible in States where Republicans are in control,” AP reports.

But control doesn’t matter right now. The Left thinks long-term, and, while the legislators will meet with “Biden administration policy experts on drug control, veterans’ affairs, environmental quality, criminal justice, violence prevention, and climate change,” that’s not the point.

The point is, “who in this crowd should we recruit to ‘the team’”? Who “gets it” — who knows that “better clean energy” and “wind and solar projects” and all the rest are just cover for consolidating the destructive chokehold on freedom that the Obama-Biden team has been tightening for fifteen years?

Of course, Donald Trump fought back, and even won some rounds, but “the team” did pretty well at blocking, harassing, leaking, lying, road-blocking, impeaching, and outright stealing, so except for the courts — a big exception — Trump’s damage was only temporary.

And Democrats want to keep it that way.

But they also know that states are going to play a stronger role in the next two years. To organize their natural allies on the ground, the team also focused on “rights for LGBTQ Americans and voting rights, civil rights and the preservation of democracy.” The sexual, reverse-racist, and outright radical Left has to be constantly stoked to counter the new, local pro-family, pro-freedom dynamic that has blossomed in recent years.

The Left realizes that successor cases to Dobbs might return to the states their constitutional jurisdiction over those issues and more — think education — and Democrats know they’ve got their work cut out for them in dozens of states.

But rest assured, the “Team” has a “Plan B” as well. If Democrats win the White House in 2024 with majorities on both sides of Capitol Hill, they’ll dispense with the filibuster and their threats to “pack the Court” will come to fruition.

That’s right. Imagine a future Chief Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. She doesn’t know a man from a woman or right from wrong, but she’ll be put there for a reason: to stick the constitutional rights of the states and of the people back in in the bottom drawer. Her Court will silence the debate in fifty states on issues like abortion, marriage, education, and religious rights and put that power firmly and permanently in Washington.

That’s the plan. Our liberties will be swept into the dustbin of history.

Leftovers

While Democrats are preparing for the nationwide battle on the ground, what are Republicans doing?

Well, not much. Members of the newly-elected House Republican majority are bickering about the usual — who will chair what committees, who will be on them and who will be removed (the first to go will be current Intelligence Committee Chairman Alan Schiff [D., Calif.], whose steady stream of disinformation disguised as leaks of intelligence have made him a popular media favorite).

Republicans are also arguing, some of them quite forcefully, that Cong. Kevin McCarthy of California shouldn’t succeed Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the House in January. “House Republicans need a leader with credibility across every spectrum of the GOP conference in order to be a capable fighting force for the American people,” said Cong. Matt Gaetz (R., Fla.). “That person is not Kevin McCarthy.”

McCarthy served as House Majority Leader under Speakers John Boehner and Paul Ryan, whose leadership skills fell far short of the mark. When he was serving in that capacity, McCarthy told me years ago that he preferred “immigration reform” to enforcing current law. That view will be a ball and chain for the GOP if it should prevail under his leadership. It would certainly suggest that he disagreed with the millions of GOP voters whose highest priority is returning to the rule of law on our southern border.

In other news, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has announced that it will “spend more than $7 billion over the next four years to support African countries and institutions working to develop and implement innovative approaches to confront hunger, disease, gender inequality, and poverty.”

Translated, that means more contraception, more abortion, more vaccinations, fewer children, and thus — and here’s the ultimate goal — fewer Africans.

And Georgia Democrat Sen. Ralph Warnock, a preacher, apparently wants fewer African-Americans.

On December 5, Warnock told MSNBC that because “black women are dying three to four times the rate of white women in childbirth, as a result of childbirth,” supporting abortion (“women’s rights”) is “exactly what Jesus would do.”

He was reelected the next day.
