Just As Ancestors Laid Way For Us . . . What We Do Against Oppression Today Will Stretch Into Future

April 29, 2021 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX — Praying the Fourth Joyful Mystery as I recited the rosary, it occurred to me that a person you encounter today may be the Jewish descendant of a baby presented in the Temple in Jerusalem, as Jesus was according to the law of Moses, about 2,000 years ago. Or the descendant of a Christian baby baptized in Jerusalem in the early days of the Church.
Daily life has wonders that often don’t even occur to us. And acts we perform now could echo 2,000 years from today, just as decisions made as the Roman Empire collapsed from degeneracy have consequences for us centuries later. Caesar didn’t endure, but those he persecuted did. Anyone can convert from having wicked ways, but only some decide to do so.
The corrupt, immoral Biden administration already looks to be the most loathsome in the life of the United States, with the ambition to leave its claw marks on history. That fact confers the duty on us to do all we can, from prayer to political activism, to remove it from power and — to cite one of Joe’s favorite verbs — abort its brawn that tries to deform current and future generations.
Biden’s poisons and irrationality already pervade our existence, so extensive as to startle even those fearful of the muscle of big government. Malignant Biden and his puppeteers are resolved to inject their cancers into our bloodstreams. Not as suggestions but mandates, preferably permanent.
When Catholic bureaucracies and politically left-wing bishops serve as this administration’s allies, scorning pro-life predecessor Donald Trump and providing cover for abortion fanatic Biden, one sees how deep the disease goes.
San Diego Catholic Bishop Robert McElroy, along with his auxiliary, Ramon Bejarano, visited illegal-immigrant youngsters housed at the San Diego Convention Center over Easter with what seemed at least as much a political as spiritual perspective. No doubt younger minors needed comfort, but did they understand the implications of breaking international law, an act that should not be rewarded?
A few days earlier, McElroy was quoted condemning Trump for Biden’s border crisis.
The Tablet Catholic news site quoted McElroy on March 31: “President Biden has inherited a chaotic border situation created by a decade of Congressional failures, four years of a president who coldly used the border as an instrument of political and ethnic division, and a long history of exploitation and economic deterioration in Central America.”
The California Catholic Conference said: “Many of the children in San Diego are arriving from Texas, but all the border states are being impacted. Federal authorities are partnering with local nonprofits such as Catholic Charities, Jewish Family Services, and many others to provide basic services to the children, including administering to their spiritual needs.”
The Tablet further quoted McElroy: “It is President Biden’s responsibility to create and implement a system of fairness and order for those seeking refuge in our country, but this project will fail if the humanity and suffering of those at our gates is not the primary element propelling us at every stage.”
According to the Department of Health and Human Services, the California Catholic Conference said, most of the minors are from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador — hardly locations at the gates of the United States.
In early November McElroy had rushed out a statement congratulating Biden and his abortion-fanatic teammate Kamala Harris on their supposed election victory. But in early 2017, McElroy strongly had condemned the new president of that time, Trump.
Northern California conservative Catholic commentator Barbara Simpson, who had seen politically left-wing McElroy up close when he previously served as an auxiliary in the San Francisco Archdiocese, gave a statement to The Wanderer on April 20 about McElroy visiting the convention center.
“This is another one of Bishop McElroy’s PR stunts, using the Church as a front for his politics,” Simpson said. “For him to blame President Trump for the border problems we face today is beyond the pale. Him going to deliver the Eucharist to a bunch of kids he knows nothing about is sacrilegious in itself.”

Close The Border

Central American problems won’t be corrected by some new U.S. foreign aid, she said. “We have been spending hundreds of millions of dollars and it’s not going to correct anything. What we have to do is close the border, and that’s not what Biden’s going to do.”
In February 2017, The Wanderer reported that McElroy spoke at a leftists’ conference in Modesto, Calif., and urged the disruption of Trump’s America. This newspaper reported: “Emphasizing the importance that McElroy attributed to his Modesto speech, the homepage of his San Diego diocesan website played it as the top item, ‘San Diego Catholic bishop calls leaders to disrupt and rebuild’.”
McElroy told that gathering, in part: “Well now, we must all become disruptors. We must disrupt those who would seek to send troops into our streets to deport the undocumented, to rip mothers and fathers from their families. We must disrupt those who portray refugees as enemies rather than our brothers and sisters in terrible need.”
However, four years later, in 2021, the endless rot in the White House is Biden’s, not Trump’s, from policy on medicine to religion to law to politics to voting to gender to border security to housing to schooling. Fighting racism by tearing up necessary freeways is yet another of race-crazed leftism’s brainstorms, or aneurysms, as in the mind of the tremendously unqualified transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, a sex activist.
Urban-policy thinker Steven Malanga posted in The Wall Street Journal on April 19 that earlier in the month, Buttigieg said “there is racism physically built into some of our highways” — which Biden wants to combat by spending dollars that the government doesn’t even possess.
On April 20 The Epoch Times posted that California was asking foster parents to take in illegal-immigrant minors, “anywhere from one to 26 or more children.” The Times quoted one foster father, “We were outraged. They’re literally going to use the foster system to facilitate human trafficking.”
Just one of bad Catholic Biden’s many criminal acts to overrun this nation with lawbreakers.
Chief Justice John Roberts repeatedly has contorted his alleged conservatism in order to please the left with court decisions, and supposedly to preserve his beloved “institution” of the Supreme Court. Yet rabid national Democrats can’t wait to pack the High Court and make it completely their own political instrument all of the time, not just oftentimes.

Getting What They Deserve

President Trump issued a statement on April 12 about the irony of the court, having repeatedly refused to hear pertinent cases about the 2020 presidential election, now facing a direct threat from hydrophobic Democrats, who never are appeased.
“We had 19 states go before the Supreme Court who were, shockingly, not allowed to be heard,” Trump recalled. “Believe it or not, the president of the United States was not allowed to be heard based on ‘no standing,’ not based on the FACTS.
“The Court wouldn’t rule on the merits of the great election fraud, including the fact that local politicians and judges, not state legislatures, made major changes to the election — which is in total violation of the United States Constitution,” Trump said.
“Our politically correct Supreme Court will get what they deserve . . . an unconstitutionally elected group of radical-left Democrats who are destroying our country. . . . If and when this happens, I hope the justices remember the day they didn’t have courage to do what they should have done for America,” he said.
Trained to take orders, will this nation’s military and law enforcers feebly submit to the commands of a radical White House committed to destroying the ideals they and other U.S. citizens stand for — sworn defenders to be replaced by the endless marching squads that we used to be aghast at seeing on television in Red Square?
The contempt and derision that the Biden gang has for law enforcement is obvious. But left-wingers never simply disband police. They twist them into their own shock troops. Deploying the National Guard against urban terrorists was monstrous to left-wingers — until Pelosi, Biden, Schumer and their gangsters wanted expansive protection in D.C., using their own tough guys with barbed wire.
These office-holding frauds wanted us locked down month after month while the economy plummeted. However, they’re energetically transporting unauthorized immigrants around the nation by air and ground to establish residence but never to be thoroughly vetted on why they slipped over the border. New Dem voters by the millions.
The Washington Examiner posted on April 17 that Biden’s administration plans to release 400 illegal immigrant families — which means a minimum of 800 people — every single day into the U.S. by mid-June, an increase from 50 families per day early in 2021.
Catholic bureaucracies’ complicity in this upheaval in exchange for big federal dollars makes many wonder who can rescue their Church as well as their nation.
Cartels’ big business trafficking in sex, drugs, and illegal immigration thanks to cognitively impaired Biden was making the criminals ever richer, which Joe’s administration only encouraged with its wide-open welcome to the unauthorized as well as its secrecy against the people of the United States.
After the U.S. government paid to accommodate illegal immigrants in U.S. hotels, it was flying some of them out to where they wanted. To where? How many? That was Biden’s little secret.
The San Pedro Valley News-Sun, in Arizona’s border county of Cochise, posted a story April 18 that the cartels threatened deputies of that county’s sheriff’s department.
The story quoted Cochise County Sheriff Mark Dannels telling a group of ranchers and homeowners “that the Mexican cartel is extremely organized on both sides of the border, and no one crosses from Mexico into this country unless they pay a member of that organization first.”
Think of that, powerful foreign criminals being “extremely organized” on the U.S. side of the border as well.
Dannels told the group, “We have empowered a criminal organization called the cartel based on the decisions being made in Washington, D.C.,” the news platform reported.

Arizona Audit

Meanwhile, an audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County, Ariz., was scheduled to begin April 22, as this issue of The Wanderer went to press, after being vigorously resisted by Maricopa County supervisors.
The Gateway Pundit blog pointed to suspicions about battleground Maricopa’s election security and called attention to nearly $3 million in grant money donated to “county election officials” through left-wing philanthropists.
On the other coast, on April 13 the Georgia Star News site reported the Secretary of State’s office in that battleground received nearly $5.6 million in 2020 from similar left-wing donors.

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.
