Support Still Needed . . . Culture Of Life Studies Sanger Program Hits Goal

By REY FLORES

How many of us truly believe that the responsibility of spreading the culture of life belongs to every single one of us? It can be easy to overlook suffering when it happens behind the closed doors of an abortion clinic, or if we have not had an abortion ourselves or helped to abort one of our own children.

For most of us, we can ignore the fight for the right to life of innocent preborn human beings, but we wouldn’t be the first people in history to say, “It’s not my problem.”

During World War II, the Nazis took control over most of Europe, spreading their lies about the value of dignity of human beings. Classifying the Jews as valueless, unfit, and even subhuman, the Nazis spread their culture of death — and no one dared to stop them until it was too late.

Countless Jews living in Europe were captured or murdered during the one of the worst holocausts the world has ever seen. But the most shocking part of the Holocaust was that millions of ordinary citizens stood silent and allowed their Jewish neighbors, friends, and colleagues to be sent to the gas chambers and concentration camps. Many people were fearful about getting involved; some argued that it wasn’t their business, and some people claimed that they didn’t know what was really going on in the camps.

This was the case for most of Europe, with one great exception: Denmark. Danish citizens — ordinary men, women, and children — decided to fight back against the Nazi culture of death. Every person used their talents to help the Jews escape. Fishermen offered their boats; grocers, doctors, and neighbors offered their homes to their Jewish friends for the duration of the war. Out of approximately 7,500 Jews living in Denmark, only an estimated one percent died during the Holocaust.

Denmark is a shining example of what it means to build a culture of life.

As American Life League President Judie Brown has said over and over again, abortion will not be defeated through laws or the work of legislators. It’s up to ordinary people to reach out to the needy in their own communities, to help abolish abortion, and to build a culture of life. One way we can do that is through education.

It has been almost one hundred years since Margaret Sanger opened her first birth control clinic in New York City and started the organization which became Planned Parenthood. For decades, Planned Parenthood has been in our schools and our communities, teaching young people that sexual promiscuity is okay, that practicing homosexuality is okay, and that killing a preborn baby is okay.

Generations after generations of students have been conditioned to believe that each human being is not a unique gift from God — rather, the life or death of a baby is a casual choice akin to buying a car or applying for a job.

One hundred years of Sanger’s lies is enough! It’s time for our society to discover the truth about Planned Parenthood. We can’t build a culture of life if the American public still holds onto falsehoods like some people are more valuable than others or that a woman can do whatever she wants with her body.

That’s why we need to focus on educating the next generation of students in pro-life values.

Imagine what would happen if we could repeat the successes of the Denmark resistance in today’s pro-life movement. We know from recent events with the Supreme Court that we can’t wait on our politicians and judges to build a culture of life in our country. The only way we can truly achieve a culture of life is through comprehensive pro-life education.

The Culture of Life Studies Program is evangelizing the next generation in a very tangible way through high-quality educational resources and unit studies. Its latest unit study — Who Was the Real Margaret Sanger? — has the potential to change hearts and minds.

It is not enough for students to know that using birth control is immoral; they need to understand how the birth control mentality can only lead to believing that some people are more valuable than others or that God does not create each person at a specific time for a specific purpose.

The Culture of Life Studies Program is in the final stretch of its fundraising campaign. It has met its initial goal, but more support is needed. In addition to printing and putting the finishing touches on the unit study, American Life League wants to donate 200 copies of Who Was the Real Margaret Sanger? to schools across the country.

Every person has a duty to spread the pro-life message. You can help this important effort by making sure that all students have access to this important study. With your financial support, schools, religious education programs, pro-life clubs, and bible studies will have access to Who Was the Real Margaret Sanger?

Donations can be made online by visiting www.SangerVideo.com, where you can also learn more about this exciting life-saving program.

You can also send your donations to Culture of Life Studies Program c/o American Life League: P.O. Box 1350, Stafford, VA 22555. The fundraising campaign runs from June 20 to July 19, 2016, so please help spread the word through your friends, families, parishes, and home-school networks.

American Life League’s Culture of Life Studies Program is an educational program that helps students in K-12 become effective communicators of the pro-life message. The Culture of Life Studies Program lays the groundwork for the pro-life movement by teaching students the truth about the value of every human being.

With the help of pro-life experts, the Culture of Life Studies Program produces unit studies and short courses to teach students about diverse pro-life issues such as abortion, euthanasia, contraception, human embryonic stem-cell research, and the beauty of marriage. It also teaches students how to defend their beliefs in the public sector.

Visit www.SangerVideo.com for more details and to make your generous contribution to help rebuild a strong culture of life for our youth and our future generations. Thank you again for supporting this awesome program and spreading the word about it.
