“#FakeNews! #FakeNews! Read all about it! Get your #FakeNews here!”
Like the old-time newspaper boys shouting on the streets, the above should be the crying call for “news” outlets like ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Reuters, the Associated Press, and the rest of them really.
News and journalism as a whole and as we have known them have ceased to exist. It is no longer possible to believe anything anyone in this industry says. How could we? Just about everything that has been published for the last decade or so has been more opinion and propaganda than real and actual news.
I for one am thrilled to see President Trump and his staffers taking no guff from these journalistic impostors.
Just last week Stephen Bannon, one of Trump’s chief strategists and a former Breitbart editor — upon leaving a meeting with White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, accompanied by Chief of Staff Reince Priebus — exited into a hall full of reporters, looked at them, and said: “The opposition party, all lined up.”
The crybaby #FakeNews reporters immediately started tweeting about how Bannon had insulted them. Too bad they weren’t all lined up and on their way to prison for impersonating real journalists.
Bannon rarely gives interviews but was asked by CNN about rumors that President Trump was unhappy with Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s performance thus far. Bannon promptly said, “It’s totally and completely false. The president has full and total confidence in Sean.”
Reince Priebus, Trump’s chief of staff, also defended Spicer. “The president has full confidence in Sean. What he thinks is that this is a media narrative that’s BS, that’s what he thinks.”
When asked if he and Trump had any interest in repairing the relationship between the administration and the press, Bannon replied: “The ‘opposition party’ is completely focused on trying to destroy Trump and his administration. It’s not going to happen. I could care less.”
So there you have it, folks. Why should Trump and his team kowtow to the #FakeNews press? Let them come crawling back, begging to have access to the Trump administration, but first apologize publicly for having abused Trump and his family, his staff, and particularly Kellyanne Conway who has been dignified and strong despite the unfair and unwarranted spite demonstrated by these journalistic impostors.
Then there was President Trump holding a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week where he only called on the Christian Broadcast Network, Townhall.com, and a couple of Israeli reporters, completely ignoring any of the mainstream #FakeNews clowns who are used to a way-too-cozy relationship with former President Obama.
Of course the rest of the day CNN’s Jim Acosta was crying to CNN colleague Wolf Blitzer about how “the fix was in.” Then ABC “news” was also crying about how the reporters who were picked didn’t ask “tough questions.” Where were ABC and CNN asking the tough questions when Obama was in office? Oh, that’s right, they weren’t asking any tough questions.
It’s sickening to see what should be the one profession that requires ethics, honesty, and integrity to be run by a bunch of deceptive propaganda pushers who are so obviously in the tank for the radical liberal left.
People like CNN’s Jake Tapper, NBC’s Chuck Todd, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, and MSNBC’s Joy Reid are some of the most notable fake journalists I have ever watched. Then there’s Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos who also owns and publishes the rag known as The Washington Post; all of these people are deliberately doing everything they can to undermine the Donald Trump presidency.
It is hard to imagine when and if at all any of these “news” outlets can ever regain any trust from viewers. The only people who enjoy watching them are the salivating sycophants on the left who are still so upset that their girl Hillary Clinton lost and couldn’t keep dragging the country down into a socialist utopia like Obama had been doing for the last eight years.
It really is nothing more than a circus side show with all of these “news” freaks like Rachel Maddow on MSNBC who mocks President Trump at every turn. Maddow suffers from a condition known as Godwin’s Law.
Godwin’s Law is named after attorney and author Mike Godwin who coined the term in 1990 to point out the hyperbole and inaccuracy of comparing anyone to Adolf Hitler. Maddow has referred to Trump as Hitler on several occasions and Maddow’s colleague Chris Matthews called President Trump’s inaugural speech “Hitlerian.”
You may recall that Chris Matthews is most famous for broadcasting in 2008 that “I feel a thrill going up my leg” whenever he hears Obama speak.
These aren’t journalists, but a bunch of crybaby, overpaid shills for the Democrat Party and all that is left and loony. On Washington, D.C.’s WMAL radio program The Chris Plante Show, Plante often says that “if the liberal left didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all.”
If you are sick of the #FakeNews media, I strongly recommend you visit the Media Research Center at www.mrc.org, and support them financially in any way you can. MRC is a conservative media watchdog group founded and run by fellow Catholic Brent Bozell.
Bozell, who is also a syndicated columnist and a board member of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, founded MRC back in 1987 specifically to call out liberal-leaning “news” media outlets that obviously prioritize pushing liberal agenda narratives and propaganda rather than delivering actual news.
