Time To End The Church As Political Pawn

By REY FLORES

There is nothing more insidious than when a secular political organization infiltrates the walls of a Catholic church. It is as horrible as when a child is harmed by a stranger, but made even worse if the stranger gained access to the child because of the neglect of the child’s parent.

By using this analogy, I hope to be able to convey the grave seriousness of this widespread problem that is occurring on a regular basis in countless parishes across the country, the child being the congregation and the parent the parish pastor.

I have been contacted by several individuals and some groups of people who have very serious concerns about what is happening in their own parishes and, in some cases, their former parishes. These activities often go unchecked by diocesan officials.

When things get so bad at a parish that parishioners end up leaving, what does that say about the men who have been entrusted not just by the Church hierarchy, but primarily by the Holy Ghost, to bring these souls to Heaven?

The main secular agendas that are brought in by the infiltrators and their internal accomplices are mainly abortion, contraception, and homosexuality. These agendas are almost always brought in by parishioners themselves and in many cases by the pastor, other clergy, and religious orders.

How the agendas are brought in and presented is the job of a non-Catholic entity or individuals who are either politicians, political operatives, or politically tainted community organizations.

One agenda that really troubles me is amnesty and related immigration issues. It doesn’t trouble me nor should it trouble you for the reasons you might think.

Many of our Catholic brethren just happen to also be immigrants and in some cases illegal immigrants.

Predominantly Hispanic parishes are a favorite target of the socialist Democratic Party because they will come in with all sorts of promises of amnesty, driver’s licenses, state-funded student tuition programs, and what-not, but they are mainly false promises to have parishioners acquiesce in their political agendas.

I want to make it clear that this is not about Democrat versus Republican; rather, my interest is in Roman Catholic versus evil.

Be on alert, my fellow Catholics, and raise the necessary red flags when you see the infiltration begin to take place. While there is much work to save the many parishes which have already been infiltrated, let’s smash the problem before it gains hold. Like barnacles, these socialists won’t let go of a parish easily.

Some parishes have been tainted for decades by local chapters of national organizations like the ACLU, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), and La Raza.

Just because these organizations represent themselves as “Latino” this or “Hispanic” that and claim to be fighting against a myriad of injustices doesn’t mean that that is their only purpose. Politics is a complicated game and organizations like these are good at playing it.

Also keep an eye out for the typical Alinskyian Industrial Areas Foundation or United Power for Action and Justice groups who are best known in Catholic circles as the mooches who have been feeding off the liberal “Catholic” trough for decades, at times including the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.

The supposed fights against injustices are many times secondary to the main goals of organizations like these. Their main goals are about attaining more political power at any cost.

Smaller grassroots-level operatives and organizations are instrumental in finally sinking their hooks into these parishes and the parish pastor is often the one to help hold the victim down for the kill.

Suffer The Children

There really are genuine human injustices against many of these communities, and make no mistake, the Catholic Church should be supporting these people and fighting the injustices alongside of them.

It is too bad that our Church leaders on all levels have outsourced these battles to the very same secular political organizations that deliberately perpetuate the injustices to perpetuate themselves. It’s like a crooked mechanic doing a sham job on your car to make sure you’ll need to bring it back in a couple of months.

The money has to keep rolling in somehow and if the community organizers deliver the votes and bodies at the rallies, the politicians then are obligated to deliver the proverbial kickback to these organizations.

The biggest tragedy is that these truly suffering immigrant communities are the ones who are merely exploited and sold out by many parish pastors to these socialists.

Their suffering doesn’t end, but they are led to believe that it one day will. In the meantime, they’ll be asked to participate in rallies, protests, and political activities that are blatantly contradictory to our Catholic faith.

Sometimes complaining to the diocese only gets you a laundry list of excuses from the peace and justice flunkies that are all part of this sorrowful game of social justice versus eternal salvation. I will be reporting more on this in the future.
