“Try That” And “Rich Men”. . . Does Huge Approval Of Defiant Songs Show How Fragile Dems’ Rule Is?

By DEXTER DUGGAN

Within a few days, two country songs in midsummer shot to great popularity that should give pause to the left-wing assault against basic morality and humanity, both within the U.S. and beyond its borders.

First, Jason Aldean’s Try That in a Small Town chronicled the crime and corruption one would associate with Democrat-run big cities, but that wouldn’t be tolerated in a neighborly town where people watch out for each other.

Then Oliver Anthony’s Rich Men North of Richmond targeted the wealthy, oppressive ruling class not immediately north of the Virginia capital, but a little further north, in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.

The two songs struck a note within the hearts of Americans sick and seething at seeing what a nightmare that left-wing Democrats, dominant media, technocrats, and corporatists have been eagerly twisting the U.S. into with increasing velocity over the last few decades.

The left may have been gloating about how it was expanding and defending its wicked agenda, epitomized in ghostly globalist Democrat Joe Biden, while hounding Republican President Donald Trump as the world’s allegedly worst criminal and defender of ordinary people who must be crushed.

How much longer could they get away with this? Maybe forever, they might have begun to think. After all, now they were importing countless millions of illegal immigrants to gulp down U.S. citizens’ resources, many of these invaders being young, military-age men, including arms-bearing, body-armored cartel fighters.

It was the foul fruition of the open-borders assault that, unfortunately, many U.S. Catholic Church bureaucrats eagerly participated in beginning years ago.

These bureaucrats couldn’t seem to get much done against massive permissive abortion, but they surely helped to fill the gaps that abortion had left in the U.S. population with aliens jumping the line ahead of obedient applicants for legal immigration.

If Marxist-inclined Democrats could continue this process for a bit longer, any eventual resistance by U.S. citizens could be suppressed by the Democrats’ new warriors.

But the Dems hadn’t managed to kill every decent instinct within most Americans, and the intense favorable popular reaction to the defiant Aldean and Anthony country songs suggested that citizens’ simmering grievances against the unbearable, unworthy ruling class could bring their corrupt mansions crashing down in a few blinks of the eye.

And of course, the wrongdoers weren’t only Marxist-inclined Democrats but also smug Republican enablers like Minority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell, of Kentucky.

McConnell insisted on helping destructive Democrats including California Cong. Nancy Pelosi and New York Sen. Charles Schumer ram through more titanic waste with the Omnibus spending bill just before the new U.S. House Republican majority took office as 2023 began. If in office, it could have been able to impose some financial discipline.

But who once more awarded the Senate leadership post to McConnell as this new legislative session was about to start last winter? None other than the majority of GOP U.S. senators! Left-wing Democrat radicals easily seem to find passive Republicans eager to bow low to their ways.

When McConnell had bemoaned the alleged lack of “quality candidates” in 2022, he of course wasn’t criticizing ripe targets on the Democrat side like the seriously physically and mentally impaired John Fetterman, of Pennsylvania, but Republicans who carried the taint, as McConnell saw it, of being endorsed by Trump, like healthy young Blake Masters, of Arizona.

Up and down the East Coast, highly partisan, prejudiced Democrat prosecutors are doing all they can to treat Trump and some of his supporters unfairly as arch-criminals who must be driven from public life forever, even as Biden and his crime family gloat over taking millions of dollars in bribes from Communist Chinese enemies of the U.S. and other foreign corruptocrats.

Does Biden seem to have a soft spot for Chinese challenges to other nations? Could that be because of the hard lumps in his pockets that Communist moneymen stuffed in there?

Charlie Kirk is among national conservative activists criticizing the passivity of Republican prosecutors toward Democrat crimes, even while Democrats stop at nothing to hound and prosecute innocent Republicans.

Perhaps the social diseases of our times began emphatically when America’s ruling class suddenly transformed the serious crime of permissive abortion into a basic constitutional right in 1973. If slaughtering infants by the millions became praiseworthy overnight, what else was possible? Ensuing decades would show.

Not merely tampering with but obliterating centuries and millennia of law was imposed with the U.S. Constitution supposedly commanding “same-sex marriage,” as miraculously discovered by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2015.

And before you knew it, poisoning children’s minds and savagely mutilating their bodies during the Biden presidency became Good Liberalism that everyone else had to praise and surrender to or else risk their social standing and perhaps their livelihoods.

This degree of cancerous immorality began to take shape under Marxist-tilted Democrat President Barack Obama, followed by his obedient little tool, former vice president and bad Catholic Biden. They both came into office as defenders of traditional marriage, but they discarded that posture when convenient to their careers as managed by “progressives.”

Such assaults on fact and reality tragically were the result of which politicians had put which judges on the courts. That suddenly changed when Republican Trump was able to put three conservative-inclined justices on the Supreme Court during his one term of four years, before the diseased, aghast ruling class shoved Trump aside in favor of their diseased Biden.

Pause to consider conservative social reformer and media master Andrew Breitbart. Before his strange, untimely death during the winding down of the first term of the Obama presidency, Breitbart had observed that politics is downstream of culture: What’s in the political pond had flowed down there from up on the hill. Culture more meaningfully influences politics, not the other way around.

Therefore, those who would influence politics have a much harder task if most or all of the cultural influences floating around politics oppose them.

For instance, if society constantly is hammered by pro-abortion media fanatics who never even acknowledge the existence of the innocent preborn infant — who, after all, is the center of the pregnancy — the task of pro-life reformers is harder.

The fact that there seems such a quick, large, positive response to the two country songs against today’s left-wing corruption and immorality suggests that the rickety stronghold against Americans’ well-being is about as rickety as fragile, sickly Biden himself. Give it and him a shove and they’ll topple over.

Meanwhile, the specially anointed left-wing Democrat politicians supposedly installed in executive positions over Arizonans in the November 2022 elections continue their nefarious ways.

Hobbs On Trump’s

“Neo-Nazi” Base

On August 12 national commentator and law professor Jonathan Turley took note of reports that extremist Arizona Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs had tried to silence her critics on Twitter. In other words, she thought she should have been free to attack them as “neo-Nazis,” but they shouldn’t have been allowed to reply.

Prior to becoming governor, Hobbs was well known to Arizona conservatives as a hard left-winger, but she hadn’t made daily speeches in the town square to thrust her views at the public. However, she had tweeted denunciation of Trump and his “pandering to his neo-Nazi base.”

Turley wrote: “Various news sites are now reporting that Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) is the latest politician who has sought blatant censorship of political critics by social-media companies. Shortly before the 2020 election (when many of us were writing about the expanding censorship calls by Democratic politicians), Hobbs allegedly sought to silence her critics on Twitter.

“Many were criticizing 2017 posts in which she claimed former President Donald Trump had a ‘neo-Nazi base’,” Turley wrote. “Hobbs considered such criticism to be intolerable and demanded that these citizens be censored.”

Hobbs had followed that up with, “The president is on the side of the freaking Nazis. Don’t just say stuff — DO SOMETHING.”

Turley cited an August 10, 2023, Fox News report that Hobbs had reached out to Twitter: “On Nov. 13, 2020, Hobbs emailed Twitter — using her official Arizona secretary of state email — asking the support team to take action against her online trolls. Twitter asked for more information and for Hobbs to provide examples for her request, which Hobbs was unable to provide.”

This, Turley commented, “is a raw and unambiguous effort of a high-ranking official to censor political speech. It is also an example of what I have called ‘censorship by surrogate.’ Hobbs secretly sought to deny free speech to citizens through allies in these social-media companies. The Arizona legislature should investigate these allegations and hold Hobbs accountable for any attack on political speech.”

In fact, the Arizona Capitol Times reported on August 11: “A legislative panel is meeting next month to investigate the social-media conduct of executive officials including Gov. Katie Hobbs before she was elected as governor.

“Speaker of the House Ben Toma (R., Peoria) announced the creation of a new Ad Hoc Committee on Oversight, Accountability, and Big Tech Thursday afternoon,” the news report said. “The committee is tasked with exploring legal and constitutional issues surrounding censorship by government officials on the internet.”

In addition, in an absolutely bizarre development, Hobbs said she’d like to see Trump investigated by left-wing Arizona Democrat Attorney General Kris Mayes, as Trump was being investigated elsewhere, for allegedly trying to overturn the will of the voters.

However, both Hobbs and Mayes were declared to be the winners of their elections last November after remarkable Election Day chaos that suppressed Arizona Republican voters.

Hobbs was said to have defeated the GOP’s Kari Lake by less than one percent of the vote, and Mayes supposedly beat the GOP’s Abe Hamadeh by 280 votes out of more than 2.5 million cast, the closest statewide result in Arizona history. The narrowness of Mayes’ alleged victory, however, hasn’t moderated her left-wing extremism.

The New York Sun posted on August 16 that when Hobbs was asked if she’d like to see Trump investigated for indictment in Arizona, too, she replied, “Absolutely. I have been an advocate for holding folks involved in trying to overturn the will of the voters in the 2020 election accountable, and this is part of that.”

The Sun reported: “The governor added that ‘accountability is critical. I don’t think we’re going to change direction until there’s accountability at the top level,’ an apparent reference to Mr. Trump. She opined that the charges brought by [Atlanta] District Attorney Fani Willis are an ‘important step forward that I think should move forward and play out in the legal process’.”

The New York newspaper added: “After Ms. Hobbs’s Tuesday [August 15] comments on the indictment landed with a thunderclap, her office sought to walk them back, saying that she ‘misheard the question’ and ‘was responding generally about her belief that anyone who breaks the law must be held accountable for working to overturn free and fair elections.’ She pledged to forswear ‘political interference’.”

However, Mayes confirmed that she indeed was investigating Trump and his “fake electors.” Fox 10 Phoenix, KSAZ-TV, reported: “On August 16, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes confirmed that there is an investigation into the fake electors in Arizona. ‘We are investigating the fake electors,’ said Mayes. ‘We are doing a thorough and professional investigation. We will do it on our timetable, as justice demands’.”

Fox 10 Phoenix is the television station where Kari Lake long had served as a news anchor before leaving that job due to her concern about media bias.

Although media stories around the nation castigate so-called Trump “fake electors” who contested Biden’s alleged win in 2020, Margot Cleveland posted at The Federalist website on August 16 to put the issue in perspective. Cleveland is that website’s senior legal correspondent.

Cleveland wrote that “legal precedent indicates that alternative electors should be named to protect a candidate challenging the outcome of an election, as Trump was in Georgia and elsewhere. That is precisely what Democrats did in Hawaii in 1960 when Richard Nixon had been declared the victor in the state, but John F. Kennedy’s court contest remained viable.

“As a matter of law,” she added, “these counts should all be dismissed because Republicans naming alternate electors was not a crime — no matter how much the press wants you to believe otherwise.”
