PHOENIX — The major Greyhound bus station here is on the edge of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, making it easy to reach either of these transportation hubs when coming from, oh, let’s say the Mexican border. It’s nearly a three-hour drive to arrive here from border-straddling Nogales, to the southeast.
Both this capital city of Phoenix and its Grand Canyon State of Arizona are affected deeply by Joe Biden’s disastrous, grim open-borders ideology. Even more so when the Biden administration shows a literally insane determination to spread untreated COVID virus-carriers who’ve crossed the southern border around the United States.
If you live in Boston, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Chicago, Kansas City, Miami, Panama City, Billings, Seattle, or anywhere else in the nation, Phoenix literally is your next-door neighbor for the proximity that easily transported COVID illegal aliens enjoy to reach you.
Fox News posted on July 31: “A top Border Patrol union official is warning that agents are having to release COVID-positive migrants into the U.S. ‘day in, day out’ — amid the ongoing crisis at the border, which also has Border Patrol agents worried about their own health. . . .
“And we’re releasing people out of the door day in and day out with actual positive tests for COVID and more keep popping up,” the national border-union official, Chris Cabrera, was quoted.
Cabrera was quoted that a number of Border Patrol agents either are quarantined or sick with COVID, but “it just seems everyone’s turning a blind eye to it when we have a real situation down here.”
A blind eye? How could this be? The inescapable mantra drummed into every American since early 2020 is that stopping the spread of COVID is worth destroying about anything else in this nation in order to save it. The mania even led to suggestions to make vaccination mandatory for Americans hoping to participate in national life.
Destroying people’s small businesses and their livelihoods is collateral damage. (So much the better if giant corporations can devour them to the benefit of globalism.) Locking down countless families can be enforced much like imprisonment. Which it largely is. Same for the school system.
When it looks like people can start to emerge safely, they’re told that some new variant or mutation of the virus upsets all the expectations again.
Not everyone is the type of person who can serve aboard the confinement of a submarine, but people might as well get used to it. After all, they can tell themselves, they’re learning how to live on the elbow-rubbing deep-space rocket probes that will be a part of future life.
Shazam, Biden’s government once again starts treating illegal immigrants as much better people than U.S. citizens. The sometimes-deadly disease that we need to be pinned against the wall to be vaccinated against is of no importance or consequence when foreigners step up to Border Patrol agents, with their U.S. city of choice written down, for furtive tax-paid transportation to it.
They don’t plan to show up at an immigration hearing maybe five years from now, so why should they take their disease seriously if Biden’s government doesn’t?
Pundit Bill O’Reilly told his national morning update radio audience on August 2 that presidents have their tipping points, and he thinks that for befuddled Biden, it’s the pandemic. O’Reilly said he’d be shocked if Biden recovers from it politically.
Asked by The Wanderer about this officially designated deadly disease that Biden’s government intentionally spreads, Arizona-based Republican political consultant Constantin Querard said: “It is all political theater. Democrats are committed to open borders and allowing anyone and everyone into the country as a way of importing what they hope will be millions of future Democrat voters, dependent on government programs to get by.
“They have also made the decision that any attempt to limit anyone from coming into the country for any reason is, by definition, racist and xenophobic, so they can’t get away from their position even if they decide they want to,” Querard said. “At the same time, Democrats are committed to using COVID as the scare tactic of choice to control people’s lives and spend with no regard to reason or responsibility.
“Like so many of their positions (think pro-abortion and everything they do ‘for the children’) they directly contradict when considered at the same time, but the media largely cover for them, so they don’t believe they have to be consistent, reasoned, or logical,” he said.
National conservative commentator Quin Hillyer told The Wanderer: “The Biden administration’s bizarre welcome mat for illegal aliens leads to almost criminal negligence when it comes to failing to protect our citizens from the coronavirus carried by those aliens. The administration’s policies are unconscionable.”
Mary Ann Kreitzer, who runs the Virginia-based Les Femmes — The Truth Catholic blog, told The Wanderer: “It’s pretty clear that the administration’s social restrictions ostensibly about COVID aren’t about COVID at all! When you disperse tens of thousands of COVID-infected illegal aliens all over the country, you are deliberately spreading the disease. You can’t have it both ways.
“Why are they doing this? Why is the entire Democrat Party, along with the RINOs, using COVID to foment fear when the ‘SCIENCE’ doesn’t support them? Because it was NEVER about COVID,” Kreitzer said. “It was always about control, and fearful people are easier to control.
“They used COVID to destroy the economy and sink Trump. And when even that was insufficient to do him in, they stuffed the ballot boxes like any Third World Communist dictator,” she said. “The next move is ‘vaccine’ apartheid. You don’t get the jab, you don’t work, you don’t shop, you don’t travel, you don’t eat. Unless there is massive noncooperation, we are done!”
House Speaker Nancy “Pelosi is now threatening to have anyone on the floor of the House without a rag on his/her face . . . arrested by the Capitol police. They are tightening the noose,” Kreitzer said.
“Will freedom be completely strangled? We’d better be on our knees. The Israelites had Moses; we have Jesus,” she said. “It’s no time to shrink in terror; it’s time to stand up to the bullies and expose them for the liars and tyrants they are. But first, prayer, fasting, and sacrifice!”
It’s a measure of how hard and far to the left national Democrat Party leaders have chosen to go, or be pulled. It’s no longer out of the question to see them using the pandemic as a continuing political weapon, especially given recent events. If they think more fear and uncertainty will help them in 2022 elections that look difficult to win as of now, would they reject that tactic?
Why should they when the Democrat Party has chosen for years to make fiery pro-abortion extremism against tens of millions of defenseless preborn infants a key strategy to rile up their base?
Why should they when, in more recent years, the Democrat Party has chosen to sacrifice the innocence of little kids to the weird inclinations of a minuscule of sexually disoriented people? Drag Queen Story Hour for everyone.
It would seem the millions of pro-life Democrats who were kicked out of the party offered better numbers for the ballot box than an infinitesimal sexual bloc. But logic and morality ceased to matter to the twisted consciences of the political party of ceaseless permissive abortion. So once that they’ve chased off their supporters, Dem leaders decided to replace them with limitless illegal aliens.
And if this has come to mean seeding those aliens across the U.S. with a contagious disease that the wicked Biden administration otherwise has declared unthinkable, so be it.
Nanny-State Media
Conservative-run Republican Texas and Florida had been getting considerable favorable public attention for how they’d handled the virus, as opposed to the disastrous liberal-run Democrat California and New York.
So should it surprise that the politicized weapon of the virus has brought unfavorable notice to Texas and Florida now as the White House furthers its being transmitted by illegal aliens?
Texas gets a big new dose of the virus as the unauthorized immigrants keep flocking there as their first step into the U.S. Some of this scandal hit the news in late July when a family of obviously ill entrants who had been released from U.S. custody made customers and management uneasy at a south Texas Whataburger restaurant.
However, the Yahoo News page that carried a Fox News report about this incident in La Joya on July 29 quickly swung into censorship mode, appending this Orwellian notice: “Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions. In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article-commenting.”
In other words, too many Americans think this dangerous Biden policy should be criticized, so nanny-state media can’t allow that.
A CBS news station in Dallas-Fort Worth posted on July 29 that the aliens told an investigating police officer they had been released by the Border Patrol because of their virus status, but received hotel housing thanks to Catholic Charities.
“The officer followed up on that information, finding out that Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley had booked all the rooms in the hotel to house undocumented immigrants detained by Border Patrol,” the news report said. “He saw a group of 20 to 30 people staying at the hotel who were ‘out and about.’ Most of them weren’t wearing masks, according to the officer. . . .
“La Joya also said that Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley didn’t tell them that they were placing COVID-stricken people at the Texas Inn Hotel,” the news report added.
Federal Supremacy
If this weren’t bad enough, Biden’s spineless political marionette and attorney general, Merrick Garland, threatened Texas over Gov. Greg Abbott’s order against transporting illegal aliens who may be ill with COVID-19, according to a July 29 report at the Washington Examiner.
Gotta make sure to give the ill aliens unobstructed movement.
Abbott’s order threatened federal supremacy, Garland claimed.
Funny, but leftists don’t complain when liberal cities and states flout federal supremacy by establishing their own sanctuary policies to welcome lawbreaking illegal entrants.
Say, remember back in 2016 when open-borders Jeff Flake, then still a so-called Republican senator from Arizona, futilely tried to get left-wing Garland approved as then-President Barack Obama’s nominee to the Supreme Court?
Turncoat Flake, of course, went on to endorse Biden for president in 2020. The D.C. swamp breeds “bipartisan” political pythons who are best left twisted in knots.
As for Florida suffering a jump in the virus? Its governor, Ron DeSantis, said he learned that the Sunshine State is where many of the illegal immigrants want to be transported.
In June DeSantis announced he was sending Florida officers to help with border problems in Texas and Arizona. On July 19 Fox News reported that he later learned from these officers that the unauthorized entrants had their eye on his state.
Fox News said DeSantis told a news conference that his officers “made over 2,000 apprehensions, over 100 felony arrests, and they say that almost 70 percent of everybody that they have interdicted said their ultimate destination was the state of Florida. If you think that having a wide-open border, 1,000 miles, however far it was away, doesn’t affect here, you’re wrong. . . .
“If you have a huge percentage that are going to try to come to Florida, and I think Biden is paying for tickets on buses and flying folks around, that’s going to have a huge impact on community services, on education, on health care, it’s going to affect taxpayers to a huge, huge extent. The policy there needs to change,” Fox News quoted DeSantis.
Facilitating The Disaster
On August 1 columnist Miranda Devine posted at the New York Post: “Of course Democrats are facilitating the border disaster by design, on the assumption that illegals will vote for them and keep wages low for their big-business pals.
“They are not even hiding what they’re up to, as they labor to change election laws to weaken voter ID requirements or jettison them altogether, so that illegal migrants are entitled to vote,” Devine said.
U.S. law-enforcement officers may have felt they could turn a blind eye to Biden’s atrocities with the excuse that they’re just following orders. But now, as his administration makes plain its intention to spread the pandemic for hoped-for political benefit, perhaps officers can be brave in leading the way to end his and his party’s disastrous lawlessness.
