We Have Personhood For All Except Unborn Persons

By REY FLORES

Most of us who have grown up during the past 60 years have probably read many Dr. Seuss books during our childhood. As parents and grandparents, we have also read them countless times to our little ones. Remember Horton Hears a Who? That is the one where one of the lines in the story says, “A person is a person, no matter how small.”

Many pro-lifers have used this phrase in T-shirts, signs, buttons, and stickers. I propose a similar line for those who want to grant personhood to everything, except to unborn human beings. That phrase would go like this: “A person is a person no matter how small or big, except if it’s a clump of cells in a woman’s womb.”

What does it mean to be a person? The basic definition is “a human being regarded as an individual.” Google the term “personhood,” and it defines the term as “the quality or condition of being an individual person.”

When it comes to unborn human beings, however, the anti-life swamps in many sectors of our society do not want to admit the scientific truth that at the moment of our biological creation, we are an individual human person with our very own distinct DNA.

Instead, the luxury and privilege of personhood has been long-afforded to wealthy corporations, the key word being “wealthy.” Planned Parenthood is a corporation and a very wealthy one at that. Does Planned Parenthood have legal recognition and protection under the term personhood?

As Motown legends The Temptations once sang, this world is definitely a “ball of confusion,” but that’s how the Devil likes it. How could it not be a place of confusion, driven by avarice, greed, and evil when personhood can be granted to rivers, icebergs, mountains, to everything except unborn humans?

Just a few weeks ago, as reported by PRI.org, a supposed human rights organization out of Colombia won personhood rights for the Amazon Rainforest itself. After listening to the case, the Colombian Supreme Court granted personhood to that portion of the rainforest within the country’s borders, giving it rights under law.

It’s not just the twigs, leaves, and other vegetation. Chimpanzees, elephants, chickens, and all sorts of marine life, insects, and rats for all I know, have had the PETA animal-lovers advocating for them for decades. They’ve been screaming “Save the whales!” “Save the turtles!” Save everything but the humans.

I’ve seen a video of one group of animal-rights activists taking over a supermarket in Milwaukee holding a funeral procession for frozen turkeys. Then there’s one other video where a group of hippie environmentalists from Earth First are gathered in a forest, screaming, crying, and apologizing to some dead trees and the foliage all around them.

Don’t get me wrong. I fully understand that we are called to be stewards of the entirety of God’s creation, including the environment and wildlife, but when the mistreatment of any of these things supersedes the God-given right to life of an unborn human person, that is not only crazy, but intrinsically evil.

No creation of God should ever be abused in any way, shape, or form, but remember that since Satan cannot create anything, he is left to attempt to destroy as many of God’s creations as he can, especially creations made in God’s own image and likeness. This is precisely the reason the hellish powers of this world are determined to destroy human life at its very inception.

Not to be outdone in the evil and insanity department, the European Union (EU) is discussing granting personhood to robots. Is it because artificial intelligence (AI) is quickly taking over with things like Siri and other Google-based, voice-activated technologies?

Then there is the booming industry of sex robots, which is not necessarily the future of porn, but the ending of intimate human relations, even threatening marriage and the marital conjugal act. It is a sordid industry that dehumanizes people into electronic persons acting as sex slaves. But just give it time before those lonely souls who buy and use these robots will want personhood granted to their electronic partners so that they can marry them.

While corporate personhood, and the proposed personhood for AI and robots, is limited, don’t think that it isn’t the ultimate goal for the globalist corporate and tech giants to equate all human rights to these entities.

People need to wake up. The more the tech giants claim to make human life easier, the more they are stealing our own humanity away. Who would have thought we’d come this far in such a short amount of time when the dehumanization of humanity is at an all-time historic frenzy?

Back in 1984 when the film The Terminator was released, we scoffed at the idea that one day in the future machines and robots would take over the world, enslave humanity, and become our masters. As I was writing this, I wondered whether George Orwell’s 1984 had anything to do filmmakers releasing this post-apocalyptic movie in the year 1984.

The more this world redefines the meaning of words, the more it can distort what those words represent, describe or actually mean. The words personhood, marriage, and family — all of these absolutes of a strong society are under increasing attack as we spiral into end times.

Personhood ironically applies to anything and everything but to the unborn human person.
