As an oft-quoted Hebrew maxim says, “Save one life and save the world.” If the election of Donald Trump provides a safe space for pro-lifers and even one preborn life is saved as a result, then voting for him was worth it.
Evidence is beginning to mount that many more than just one human being will be saved if Planned Parenthood is denied government funding. Already as of this writing, President Trump has reenacted the Mexico City policy which denies funding to abortion providers overseas.
The Devil has been working overtime, however, in these first days of a new presidency as made evident by a march on Washington on the day after the inauguration that was deceptively labeled as a “women’s march” when it in fact intentionally excluded some women: those who happen to be preborn.
Pro-life feminists were excluded also because they speak out for all women. The event organizers made clear in no uncertain terms that the pro-life feminists were not welcome: “We are pro-abortion,” they responded, and those who think otherwise were not welcome.
The abortion party and all of its fellow travelers once again attempted to put a beautiful Hollywood face on the abominable crime of preborn murder: same evil, different day. You can dress up evil with all the pretty faces of Hollywood and it’s still evil, the wages of which sin is death.
The day was the occasion for Church scandal as well. As reported to me by a Facebook or Twitter follower, some Sisters of St. Joseph from a small New York town were “participating and leading Catholic women” to the so-called Women’s March on Washington that day.
A Franciscan priest from Chicago also proudly led a group of fellow dissidents to participate in the pro-abort festival.
That priest swiftly blocked me on Twitter when I pointed out the sinfulness of his example.
The Iranian embassy was located just blocks from where the massive crowds snarled the route for the planned D.C. walk to the White House. The marchers could as easily have demonstrated there. Where was the outrage about crimes against women such as one who suffered an acid attack in Iran, and those whom the government has arrested for merely posting Instagram photos? There was none whatsoever.
That and so many other instances of oppression of women were ignored along with the plight of the preborn.
So, one has to ask, was the Women’s March on Washington and in other locations around the world a Hollywood fan rally or a serious political statement? It is certainly a sign of weakness in messaging when leaders of an event have to rely on star power to turn out a crowd. As well, the Devil is only too happy to use race, sex, and Hollywood to seduce people to his purposes. The evidence is in that George Soros funded 50 groups who were present at the Women’s March. Adults brought children to the march, who were then exposed to the obscene images and language on many signs. Some adults brought the children of siblings, even though they knew that those siblings were opposed to the evil purposes and agenda on the march. It became known that a Catholic parent who has attempted to raise his children as good Catholics found out via Facebook that a sibling had surreptitiously flown his daughter from another state to take part with her in the march. This was done without his knowledge.
Please pray especially for adults who in this and other ways are leading their own and others’ children to consort with the powers of darkness.
Pressing the children of other parents who disagree with the purposes of the march no doubt also helped to fluff up the numbers of the very big crowd in D.C. and around the world that came to about 1 million.
The new president got caught up in the dispute about crowd size following the inevitable comparison between the inauguration with the 500,000 strong who showed up on Saturday, January 21. Certainly Obama’s 2009 inaugural crowd was bigger. We don’t know the motives behind the decision on the part of so many to brave the exceptionally cold weather then. It’s more than likely that it had something to do with the fact that Obama was the first “African American president.” Crowd comparison between 2009 and 2017 for that reason is at least an instance of apples and oranges.
When it comes to the large turnout for what I call the women’s death marches in cities all over the U.S. and elsewhere around the globe, there are several factors that also make it very different from the circumstances surrounding the Trump inauguration.
The abortion party, the Democrats and fellow travelers, typically attempt to put a beautiful Hollywood face on the abominable crime of killing preborn children: same evil, different day. As well, the significance of Hollywood starlets flying to D.C. and other glam spots around the globe to show up for the marches is meaningless when compared to the countless families and middle America Trump voters who cannot afford a trip to the inauguration. Again, something akin to comparing apples and oranges.
The administration was quick to point out that crowd size is a limited indicator in a world of smart phones, iPads, and the plethora of other means of live-streaming events so that many no longer need to leave their couches to witness events.
Moral decay that has for years been encouraged like a foul growth by the darkness of presidential encouragement and taxpayer funding was on full display. Witness the extremely offensive signs and the obscene shouts of the demonstrators at the march. Parents who brought children to the event should be ashamed of their scandalous irresponsibility.
But amidst all this display of faithless and Godless rebellion the faith still shone brightly. Abby Johnson, a converted former abortion mill worker, was there. Visibly pregnant, she marched, accompanied by other women of faith as a light amidst the great darkness of that day.
These courageous women remind all of us what our faith must mean and must enable us to do each day. The Lord tells us we are “salt and light” in a world that tries to reason through emotions and believes that good can be achieved through evil.
Once again this year at the annual March for Life, women and girls, preborn and born, will be joined by men of all ages as they demonstrate for the sanctity of every human life. They will not be paid to do so by George Soros as were so many at the anti-life so-called women’s marches all over the world. They will not be congratulated by the press or the media which will once again largely ignore them instead.
No, they will march only for love, which is its own reward. Their love is authentic because like that of God it embraces all without prejudice. They reject the hate that must consume even preborn human life in order to survive the light of day which makes the difference between truth and falsehood plain for those with eyes to see.
