The Beating Heart Of Texas

September 16, 2021 Our Catholic Faith No Comments

By FR. KEVIN M. CUSICK

When it comes to legalized baby killing, also known as abortion, untold numbers of Catholics are languishing spiritually under what I’ll call the “Biden delusion.” Some of them would begin to explain it by stating, “I’m personally opposed, but….”
For a few years now Biden has survived politically as a Democrat, while claiming to be Catholic, by saying he would never get an abortion himself, but that it’s okay by him if someone else chooses to kill his or her offspring instead. In the absence of any episcopal correction, such as excommunication, this irrational mental condition has gained ground among Catholics until the point that it now has become a widespread phenomenon.
The Church’s gaping chest wound is the many souls at risk of damnation as a result of Catholic scandal resulting from baptized Catholic politician apostates and heretics pontificating immorality unchecked by any vigorous episcopal correction.
Spiritual death is the result for the many souls who have fallen under the spell of this and other demonic lies, compounded every time they receive Holy Communion, because they are doing so sacrilegiously and uselessly.
I don’t believe any of my parishioners who share this mistaken and spiritually moribund state are receiving Communion. I could be mistaken, of course. I hope that none of them are heretics. Priests can fall under the spell of a delusion just as easily as anyone else. I have taught in my preaching that such a position eviscerates the very concept of a “Commandment”: “Thou shall not kill” does not admit of qualifications.
A great many baptized Catholics, many of whom march forward to demand Communion at weddings and funerals, and a smaller number of whom may still attend on Sundays, though perhaps not weekly, are under the impression that the Commandments do not apply to some, and that it’s a truly Christian “compassion” which insists upon this.
This certainly gives a new meaning to “love your neighbor as yourself.” I love you, it says, but not enough to insist you save your soul. You see, such a “faith” is not one at all, for it doesn’t truly believe for oneself or for others. There is no love where there is no faith. Faith places eternal salvation of self and others first and, in the charity which accompanies faith, insists upon such for others as much as for oneself.
The relativism which infects much thinking today doesn’t stop there. It turns out there are other Commandments which do not apply to relativist “Catholics,” such as the Sunday obligation already mentioned. God is a plaything for these people, who is good because He does what He’s told.
We have discovered that a great many persons once thought Catholic are revealed post-COVID to be not so, because they function as though they can’t catch the disease in any public places except a church during Mass. A sign that you truly believe is when you cancel other events for the sake of attending Sunday Mass. And the only cure known to man for ending the risk of illness is death.
“Choice” for these heretics is considered Christian, when in fact it is nothing more than handing a weapon to a homicidal person after passing a law declaring the weapon legal if it’s used only on the most defenseless. It turns out to be not Christian at all but, rather, aiding and abetting a murderer.
The media, predictably, descended into infantile hysteria following the Supreme Court ruling which let the Texas heartbeat law stand. The backhanded compliment now for Christians who insist on obeying the Ten Commandments is to dub such the “Taliban.”
Stephen Miller, @StephenM on Twitter September 5, a week after the Supreme Court allowed the law to stand, had this to say: “For 1 week in 1 state, babies have been safe in their mother’s womb because of a democratic statute. For 49 years in 49 states, unborn babies have been & remain totally defenseless because of an undemocratic fiat. Why is the former the subject of media outrage but not the latter?”
Freedom is under attack, the freedom to believe in the truth and demand that others do the same. The freedom to declare the truth that an unborn child is murdered in every abortion is one that is necessary for every Catholic in order to truly be such.
The necessary condition for the faith is freedom. This is the reason why Christians have been targeted during the illegal lockdowns in the Marxist takeover called “COVID.” Freedom is also under attack in the mad totalitarian imposition of the “vaccine.”
What do you think they’re “aborting”? Abortion signifies stopping some ongoing process. They wouldn’t use that word if the procedure involved only the woman’s body. The only ongoing process inside a woman’s body is a new set of cells composing a person. We’re not talking here about cancer, which attacks a woman’s body, but a benign coexistence giving shape to a new life, a separate person with a separate heartbeat.
Which provided the impetus for the new Texas law which threatens the illegal hegemony of Roe v. Wade. As many have stated, the Texas law has in effect overturned Roe v. Wade, the victory for which we’ve prayed for many years and for which we must give thanks to Almighty God.
Biden, meanwhile, proved he is in fact no longer personally opposed. He led the charge among the many attacking the heartbeat law as “unconstitutional.”
Abortion is not in the Constitution; life, however, is. Every child has a life. No exceptions. Every life begins with conception. No exceptions. And yes, Biden, every life is sacred. To say otherwise is racist and genocidal.
Most babies killed in abortion are babies of color. Even the pro-abortion Guttmacher Policy Review admits that “in the United States, the abortion rate for black women is almost five times that for white women.” They go on to use poverty and other excuses for legal murder of the unborn but that fact remains that the black community is more than decimated by abortion. In a recent year, fewer black babies were born in New York than were aborted. Every black life matters from womb to tomb. Don’t say “Black Lives Matter” if you’re not pro-life, because if you’re not pro-life without exceptions no lives matter.
The beating heart of Texas is the love born of Christian faith. God or nothing. Without love for every human person, the charity born of faith, this nation will consume itself in a conflagration of self-interest and materialist paganism, already eating at and corroding the edges of this all too fragile experiment in human freedom.
