By ROBERT J. HUTCHINSON (Wanderer Editor’s Note: LifeSiteNews reprinted this article with permission from American Thinker. Robert J. Hutchinson is a noted author and commentator.) + + (American Thinker) — Nearly two years after the shambolic 2020 U.S. presidential election, tens of millions of ordinary Americans still suspect the election was rigged — through a combination of Big Tech interference, mail-in ballots lacking signature verification, so-called “ballot harvesting,” and the private takeover of government election operations by nonprofit organizations controlled by partisan Democrats, funded by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.A Monmouth University poll released in late September 2022 found that 32 percent of all Americans and 61 percent of Republicans still believe election interference was the cause of Donald Trump’s defeat…Continue Reading

A Book Review . . . An In-Depth Study Of The Angelic Realm

November 22, 2022 Featured Today Comments Off on A Book Review . . . An In-Depth Study Of The Angelic Realm

By DONAL ANTHONY FOLEY The Other World We Live In by Fr. Scott Randall Paine. The book is available at Amazon.com in hardcover and paperback. We tend not to focus very much on the angels, even our guardian angels, and so The Other World We Live In: A Catholic Vision of Angelic Reality, is a useful corrective to that way of thinking. The book is divided into two parts dealing respectively with the good and evil angels, and the author, Fr. Scott Randall Paine, is a professor of medieval philosophy and Eastern thought. He sees creation in terms of three realms, the physical cosmos, the human world, and the world of the created spirits — the angels. In this scheme of…Continue Reading

Whose Children Are They?

November 20, 2022 Featured Today Comments Off on Whose Children Are They?

By BARBARA SIMPSON As if parents didn’t have enough to worry about today in protecting their children, the politicians have gotten into the mix — again — and California is at the head of the list.At issue is SB 107, legislation signed into law in late September by Gov. Newsom. Essentially, the measure allows California courts to take what is termed “emergency jurisdiction” of any child who comes to the state for “gender transitions.”Essentially what this means is that the state can strip parents from any state of their custody rights if their children seek such sex mutilations in California — or even through telemedicine with a California-based doctor.Openly “gay” State Sen. Scott Weiner, author of the bill, refers to…Continue Reading

When Picking Candidates… Republicans Should Use Their Brains A Little

November 19, 2022 Featured Today Comments Off on When Picking Candidates… Republicans Should Use Their Brains A Little

By NEIL PATEL The lessons from this election cycle are the same as the lessons from all election cycles: Good candidates matter, especially so for Republicans who are not playing on an even field. Conservatives can go with any competent candidate they like in deeply red states and districts. From my perspective, I’d like them to go with the most conservative candidate possible in those places. Politicians from deeply conservative places should challenge a system that’s clearly in need of reform.Conservatives in swing states risk a lot by going with that strategy. Just “go with your heart” may work when picking a girlfriend or a baby name. Not super smart in politics. The old rule for conservatives still applies: Go…Continue Reading

Will The Real Catholics Please Stand Up?

November 18, 2022 Featured Today Comments Off on Will The Real Catholics Please Stand Up?

By TOM TAKASH If we were to bring Catholic members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives together in one room and then ask them to stand up if they’re pro-life, we would most likely see almost all, if not all of them, proudly rise to their feet. If we were then to question them as to whether they had ever supported or voted in favor of any pro-abortion legislation in the past, and if they had done so to please take their seat again, few would remain standing, and some of those still standing would hope that no one would actually check their voting records.Among those who sat down again, upon questioning them as to motive, we would…Continue Reading

By TERENCE P. JEFFREY Thirty-five years ago, Democratic Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware, who was then serving as chairman of the Judiciary Committee, gave a speech explaining why he was going to vote against confirming Judge Robert Bork to the Supreme Court.Biden spoke as a self-proclaimed “child of God” and claimed his opposition to Bork was all about God-given rights.“I believe that all Americans are born with certain inalienable rights, certain God-given rights that they have, not because the Constitution says they have them,” Biden said in the text of a speech preserved in the Congressional Record. “I have rights because I exist, in spite of my government, not because of my government.”“As a child of God, my rights are…Continue Reading
