SAN FRANCISCO, September 28, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — The former CEO of Mozilla has released a new Internet browser called Brave. Brendan Eich, the creator of JavaScript, continues to lead the technological revolution with Brave, an innovative concept in Internet browsers. After blowing away the competition (read: Microsoft’s Internet Explorer) with the Internet browser Firefox, Eich has come up with Brave, a nearly ad-free, lightning-fast browser that eliminates intrusive ads as well as common but unwanted tracking tack-ons. A tech legend for his JavaScript and Firefox contributions, Eich was betrayed by his contemporaries and forced out of business as CEO of Mozilla, the company behind Firefox, because he supported natural marriage.

Lay Catholic Group: Tim Kaine’s Radical Views Stem From Embrace of Liberation Theology

October 2, 2016 World News Comments Off on Lay Catholic Group: Tim Kaine’s Radical Views Stem From Embrace of Liberation Theology

An organization of committed lay Catholics is challenging Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine, who’s invoking his Catholic faith and the words of Pope Francis as a basis for his radical positions on abortion and marriage, as well as his embrace of liberation theology. Brian Burch of CatholicVote says faithful Catholic voters and leaders deserve to know the truth about Hillary Clinton’s running mate, and how the time he spent in Honduras – which he has referenced as a “turning point in my life” – helped to shape both his political and religious views.

Quebec cardinal won’t refuse funerals for those choosing assisted suicide

October 1, 2016 World News Comments Off on Quebec cardinal won’t refuse funerals for those choosing assisted suicide

Cardinal Gerald Lacroix of Quebec said he has no intention to follow in the steps of his fellow Canadian bishops of Alberta and the Northwest Territories in refusing funerals for those who asked to be euthanized. “I don’t plan specific directives aimed at refusing this support or refusing access to the anointing of the sick and the celebration of funerals,” Cardinal Lacroix said in a statement Sept. 29. The cardinal was reacting to a document published earlier this month by the

Shocking Report Reveals Scientists Have Created the Word’s First Baby With Three-Parents

September 29, 2016 World News Comments Off on Shocking Report Reveals Scientists Have Created the Word’s First Baby With Three-Parents

A shocking new report claims the world’s first three-parent baby (pictured above) has been born. Children born through ‘three-person IVF’ would contain some genetic material from each of three different people. There are about 50 known mitochondrial diseases (MCDs), which are passed on in genes coded by mitochondrial (as opposed to nuclear) DNA. They range hugely in severity, but for most there is presently no cure and little other than supportive treatment. The goal behind creating “designer babies” with three parents is to eliminate such diseases. But there are good reasons for pro-life people to be concerned about the process and the eugenics-based reasons behind it. Here’s more on the infant born from three parents:

September 23, 2016 World News Comments Off on Donald Trump Names Rick Santorum and Other Top Pro-Life Catholics as Key Advisers

Fresh from announcing a list of pro-life leaders who are advising him on issues that matter to pro-life voters, Donald Trump has named a group of pro-life Catholic leaders as additional key advisers, including pro-life former presidential candidate Rick Santorum. The list of 33 advisers includes former Republican Sen. Rick Santorum, who ran for president in 2012 and 2016 and who was a leader on pro-life issues in Congress — including the ban on partial-birth abortions. Faith Whittlesey, former U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and a high-ranking political official in the Reagan White House is also on the list of pro-life Catholics advising Trump. “The choice for Catholics in this presidential election could not be more

September 21, 2016 World News Comments Off on Argentine bishop threatened with prosecution for condemning ‘culture of fornication’

September 20, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – The Catholic archbishop of the Argentinean city of La Plata is under investigation by the country’s “discrimination” police for condemning the modern acceptance of sexual promiscuity and “unnatural” unions, according to local media sources. Archbishop Héctor Aguer has incurred the wrath of Argentina’s Secretary for Human Rights and perhaps the government’s National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Racism for writing that modern society’s culture of promiscuity is “banal,” “animalistic,” and “infantile.” In a recent article written for the La Plata news

September 20, 2016 World News Comments Off on First minor killed by euthanasia in Belgium after child euthanasia legalized

BELGIUM, September 19, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — Belgium’s federal euthanasia commission confirmed Saturday the country’s first instance of child euthanasia, which became legal in 2014. Belgian media suggested the minor killed via lethal injection was 17. Some media also suggested the teen was Dutch. In the Netherlands, euthanasia is legal for children over 12. Wim Distelmans, the head of the Belgian euthanasia commission, said the minor had a terminal illness and was “suffering unbearable physical pain.” Belgian law allows minors with terminal illnesses who face “unbearable suffering” to receive euthanasia if their parents consent. Belgium legalized euthanasia for adults in 2002. Since then, the number of people who have died via legal, lethal injections administered by doctors has steadily risen. More…Continue Reading

September 18, 2016 World News Comments Off on Donald Trump commits to defunding abortion, Planned Parenthood if elected

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 16, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Donald Trump has pledged to end taxpayer funding of abortion in the United States and to defund the nation’s leading abortion provider. In a new, personally signed letter, Mr. Trump attacked “Hillary Clinton’s unwavering commitment to advancing taxpayer-funded abortion on-demand,” which “stands in stark contrast to the commitments I’ve made to advance the rights of unborn children and their mothers when elected president.” The letter then says the Republican is committed

Pope Francis issues motu proprio harmonizing Canon Law codes

September 15, 2016 World News Comments Off on Pope Francis issues motu proprio harmonizing Canon Law codes

(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis issued an Apostolic Letter motu proprio on Thursday, in which he brings the basic legal instruments that govern the Latin Church and the Eastern Churches in communion with Rome more closely into accord with one another in several different specific areas regarding the discipline of the sacraments, and ecclesial identity of the faithful. The Holy Father has introduced material changes only to the Code of Canon Law that governs the Latin Church, in order to bring the Latin code into harmony with the Eastern code, especially as regards the valid celebration of marriages with spouses of mixed Rite, the circumstances under which a spouse may change Rite, how to determine the Rite to which a child…Continue Reading

Another “Catholic” Politician trying to redefine the Catholic Faith . . . Devout Catholic™ Kaine breaks with his church on gay marriage, with media blessing

September 13, 2016 World News Comments Off on Another “Catholic” Politician trying to redefine the Catholic Faith . . . Devout Catholic™ Kaine breaks with his church on gay marriage, with media blessing

Tim Kaine has officially joined the ranks of Devout Catholic™. How do we know? Because he says he’s Catholic, yet criticizes the church. The Democratic vice presidential nominee played weekend prophet and theologian when he told activists in the Human Rights Campaign that the Roman Catholic Church will eventually change its teachings against same-sex marriage. But that wasn’t the cardinal sin of the day. The worst was the unthinking, habit-bound, codeword-laced coverage by mainstream
