(CNSNews.com) – At a Capitol Hill press conference on Thursday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said the Zika virus threat is “all about babies.” “The Zika in the Southern part of our country is in our country, and because it hasn’t hit home in [a Republican’s] district, doesn’t mean that it isn’t hitting home for the American people,” Pelosi said. “You know how I am about babies

August 11, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Thousands marched yesterday in protests held throughout Colombia to protest a new initiative of the country’s homosexual Minister of Education to implement homosexualist and transsexualist gender ideology programs in Colombian schools. “No to gender ideology! Mr. President, Ms. Minister, listen to us!” speakers told a crowd of thousands gathered in the city of Bucaramanga. “Long live the rights of children! Long live the family. August 9, 2016 World News Comments Off on 98% Of CRS Employee Political Donations Go To Pro-Abortion Candidates

Contributions for political campaigns are recorded and monitored, and made available as public information in order to ensure transparency in the political process.  The information found in these recorded contributions are closely monitored and analyzed by political parties and research organizations in order to look for trends in certain demographic groups.  Oftentimes, when one files a political contribution, the donor provides information on their employer or gives some indication as to what line of work they are in.  And when researchers examine various demographic groups, such as by location, job type, sex, or religion, they tend to find a diversity of contributions and opinions within each. For instance, when conducting a general search on www.opensecrets.org for the search term “Catholic”…Continue Reading

On DePaul Banning Ben Shapiro: Catholic Mission Should Drive Speaker Policy

August 6, 2016 World News Comments Off on On DePaul Banning Ben Shapiro: Catholic Mission Should Drive Speaker Policy

From what I know about Ben Shapiro, he’s not a champion of immorality. So why was he banned from Catholic DePaul University, while other speakers, events and groups that might lead students away from the Catholic faith are welcomed on campus? Shapiro’s advocacy as an author and public speaker isn’t focused on inciting hatred and violence, or promoting positions that conflict with Catholic moral or social teaching. True, his biting critique of America’s zeal for racial diversity in every institution upsets many well-intentioned people who believe that diversity standards are necessary to fight racism. If only people on both sides of the issue could dialogue with respect for each other.

Trump Is Driving Catholic Voters Toward Clinton

July 28, 2016 World News Comments Off on Trump Is Driving Catholic Voters Toward Clinton

Donald Trump has held onto the support of evangelical Christians even as he has screwed up the name of a book of the Bible, said he doesn’t feel he needs forgiveness for anything, and struggled to answer the question that Jesus posed to Peter: “Who do you say that I am?” But, according to a recent report by Pew, Trump’s doing terribly with Catholic voters, particularly those who are regular churchgoers.
