“Sound Of Freedom” Raises Alarm On Child Trafficking

July 20, 2023 Our Catholic Faith No Comments

By FR. KEVIN M. CUSICK

Grossing more than current competitors on one of the biggest weekends of the summer, the indie movie The Sound of Freedom starring Catholic favorite Jim Caviezel, has drawn critics in Hollywood. What else is new in the world capital of vanity, envy, pride, and every other cardinal sin?
After abortion, the number one crime against baby humans, the greatest evil afflicting the young is illegal trafficking, and sexual and labor slavery.
In defense of the film, however, one industry insider, the singer Jewel, is chanting a different note, so to speak. Fox News reported that she is practically raving with praise about the film, set to gross $40 million in receipts, dwarfing current Hollywood offerings. She urged fans to see the biopic about Tim Ballard, a former DHS agent who quit his job to rescue children from a sex trafficking operation.
She called it “little indie movie that could” and celebrated it for getting the word out about the child sex trade, which she claimed has more slaves in it currently than the trans-Atlantic slave trade. She added that Sound of Freedom is “kicking butt” in the box office, and, in a Twitter caption, blasted the media for “trying to politicize this movie.”
Jewel’s endorsement came less than a week after Sound of Freedom premiered in U.S. theaters, where it beat out Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny in movie ticket sales on July 4. The “You Were Meant For Me” singer jumped on social media to urge more people to go see the popular film.
In response to Twitter owner Elon Musk recommending the film be put on his social media platform, she stated, “You guys, I just saw the Sound of Freedom. You have to see it. I’m so verklempt (overcome with emotion). Some friends of mine made this movie and it’s been years of it being in production. It’s the most inspiring film,” she declared.
The 90s music star then delved into the grim realities that were portrayed in the film. She asked her viewers, “Did you know that there are millions in slavery? This is the fastest growing criminal enterprise and the amount of children enslaved right now is greater than all 300 years of the trans-Atlantic slave trade? What the [removed]?
“She continued praising it, stating, ‘This is a true story about a man who just doesn’t give up on a child. It is so touching, you’re going to love it! Please go see it. This is the little indie movie that could. It’s competing with all the giant blockbusters and it’s kicking butt and it deserves it.’
“She concluded, saying, ‘Go see this to have your heart filled. Love you guys. Take care of your babies!’”
For her Twitter caption accompanying the clip, Jewel criticized mainstream media reception of Sound of Freedom. She wrote, “It saddens me that some media is trying to politicize this movie. This is not left or right. It’s about millions of kids being trafficked, and no matter what your faith or creed, we need to protect all the vulnerable kids rather than fight over philosophical differences.”
“The movie features actor Jim Caviezel playing Tim Ballard, a real former U.S. Department of Homeland Security agent who quit his job so he could rescue young children from an international sex trafficking ring.
“The movie follows the character as he creates a sex trafficking sting operation to save dozens of child sex slaves. In the film, Ballard ultimately has to infiltrate a rebel camp in the jungles of Colombia to save a little girl from the criminal industry.
“Shortly after the film premiered, several left-wing outlets, including The Guardian, feminist site Jezebel, and Rolling Stone, attempted to delegitimize the film by characterizing it as fodder for Q-Anon and other right-wing conspiracy theorists.”
Newsweek repeated allegations that the movie is linked to Q-Anon. In the online magazine, both Ballard and Caviezel speak out to debunk the conspiracy theory of the left about an alleged conspiracy theory of the right and the attempt to connect it to the film, perhaps to undermine it? Ballard is quoted as saying the allegations are “sick.” Caviezel responded, according to Newsweek, “I never knew about them while I was doing this movie Sound of Freedom, it has nothing to do with our film. But it’s really interesting that they pointed to this immediately and said ‘That guy’s one of them, he’s bad’.”
Hollywood attacks on the film will serve, if anything, to feed theories that many actors, globalists, and political leaders are caught up in aspects of child trafficking. The Epstein scandal that caught royalty, presidents, and other elite members of the closed world of the famous, powerful, and rich in its web was not a conspiracy.
Another front in the war to protect children is being fought by Austin Ruse and C-Fam. The LGBTQ lobby is very “out and proud” about coming for our children. They taunt society with the cry as they parade in various obscene costumes in our streets, particularly in June every year under the satanic mantra of “pride.”
Ruse recently posted, “A few weeks ago, homosexual/trans men and women matched in New York City chanting that they are coming from our children. Two years ago, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Choir sang a song about coming for our children. Perverts in dresses make smutty poses and prostitutes in front of the youngest of children. They call it Drag Queen Story Hour. They say it is their right to have access to our children. If you complain, you are labeled a bigot. Homosexual/trans teachers want to put your sons in dresses and call them Susie, all without your knowing. I mentioned this in a message to you a few years ago, and I was labeled a hater. This is now on my Wikipedia page! Even though what I said was true!
“They are coming for our children. They say so themselves!
“At the United Nations, we are in the beginning stages of negotiating something called the Global Digital Compact that includes language about hate speech and gender ideology.
“What this means is that you can be punished even for complaining about homosexual/trans access to your kids. You can be punished for opposing their ideology. You can be punished for keeping your kids away from these monsters.
“And you should understand that UN leftists are negotiating this treaty with the help of the tech oligarchs, Google, Apple, and others.”
Ruse wrote that his emails to subscribers could become punishable offenses.
“We have plenty to worry about. But C-Fam is on this. We have been on this issue for years. We are on this negotiation every single day. What is it worth to you that C-Fam spends time and treasure to say close to such an evil negotiation? To protect your children or your grandchildren, I suspect quite a bit. C-Fam is almost alone in fighting this issue at the UN.”
“But we are highly effective. We have already built a coalition of UN Member States we are working with. We will work to stop this evil with everything we’ve got, with every fiber of our being. But we cannot do it without your prayers, your daily prayers. And we cannot do it without your financial support, your SACRIFICIAL financial support.” You can donate to the great work of C-FAM and Austin Ruse here: https://c-fam.org/contribute/donate/
Pray for the work of Catholics and others who join them in protecting our vulnerable youth.
Thank you for reading and praised be Jesus Christ, now and forever. apriestlife.blogspot.com

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.

Catholic, conservative, orthodox, and loyal to the Magisterium have been this journal’s hallmarks for five generations. God willing, our message will continue well into this century and beyond.

Two observances — Easter and the recently contrived “International Transgender Day of Visibility” — fall on Sunday, March 31 this year, causing some to wonder “Is Easter being replaced with the ‘Transgender Day of Visibility?’” It’s a valid question. Abortion Advocates No Longer Consider It “A Necessary Evil,” They Celebrate Killing Babies

Last week, Kamala Harris became the first vice president in U.S. history to make a public visit to an abortion clinic. Though the Democratic party’s support for abortion is nothing new, Harris’ Planned Parenthood appearance does illustrate how that support has become a flagrant celebration of abortion as a public and personal good, essential to both “freedom” and to “healthcare.” At the appearance, Harris proclaimed,  It is only right and fair that people have access…Continue Reading
