By DEXTER DUGGAN Pundit Bill O’Reilly reported on his January 2 national radio update that Jill Biden keeps careful control over Joe at the White House, briefing him at breakfast about his lightly scheduled days, then checking in on him later to see if she needs to shut down his schedule. Might we speculate about how this works? + + “Glad you could join me for breakfast here at the White House, ma’am. May I sniff your hair one more time? And please tell my wife, Dr. Jill, that she’s welcome to join us. Oh, YOU’RE Dr. Jill?“Well, Dr. Jill, we really should send a thank-you note to Barack, if you’re able to write one for me, to thank him…Continue Reading

A Catholic Heroine

By DONALD DeMARCO The last thing that interested Monique Dostie was achieving status as a national celebrity. Her chosen profession seemingly guaranteed that such status would not only be unlikely, but impossible. She had hidden herself away in the sleepy town of Lewiston, Maine, where she operated a small group home for developmentally disabled adults. She lived in the Jaricot Foster Home, as it was called, and offered full-time care for its four residents. The Home offered quality care to its residents. But also provided a good moral atmosphere. It was precisely the moral values the home honored that led guardians of the residents to place them at the Jaricot Foster Home. There were “rules,” to be sure, including the prohibition…Continue Reading

Will The Real Catholics Please Stand Up?

January 5, 2023 Featured Today Comments Off on Will The Real Catholics Please Stand Up?

By TOM TAKASH If we were to bring Catholic members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives together in one room and then ask them to stand up if they’re pro-life, we would most likely see almost all, if not all of them, proudly rise to their feet. If we were then to question them as to whether they had ever supported or voted in favor of any pro-abortion legislation in the past, and if they had done so to please take their seat again, few would remain standing, and some of those still standing would hope that no one would actually check their voting records.Among those who sat down again, upon questioning them as to motive, we would…Continue Reading

The Transgender Trajectory

By TERENCE P. JEFFREY The children had gathered that day for the first time in their first-grade classroom. At the top of the agenda: learn how to do simple problems in addition and subtraction. After the teacher had reviewed some basic principles of arithmetic, she asked one of the students: “Do you know what one plus one equals?”The little girl responded: “Two.”The teacher then admonished her: “No, it equals three.”The girl was astonished, but the teacher was adamant. “One plus one equals three,” the teacher insisted. But the little girl was very bright. To Trump: Your Support for Gay Propaganda Will Not Make America Great Again

January 1, 2023 Featured Today Comments Off on To Trump: Your Support for Gay Propaganda Will Not Make America Great Again

By GEORGE NEUMAYR (Wanderer Editor’s Note: In this article, George Neumayr comments on why corrupting children and undermining the family, as the LGBTQ movement does, only weakens the country. The American Spectator first published this article on December 21, 2022 and it is reprinted here with permission. All rights reserved.) + + Donald Trump is usually a repository of common sense. But on matters related to “gay rights,” he is hopelessly unmoored from common sense. Trump’s support for that appalling movement, which is so destructive to the country, at a recent Log Cabin Republicans’ gala held at his Mar-a-Lago estate is completely indefensible. The gross propaganda to which Trump offered inane homage strikes at the roots of a country’s strength, namely,…Continue Reading

Republicans Should Just Say No to Any Budget That Funds 87,000 New IRS Agents

December 31, 2022 Featured Today Comments Off on Republicans Should Just Say No to Any Budget That Funds 87,000 New IRS Agents

By STEPHEN MOORE One of the biggest promises by Republicans in the 2022 election season was that if they won a majority in the House, they would defund the $80 billion that Biden wants to hire 87,000 new IRS agents. But now they are about to agree to a $1.7 trillion omnibus spending deal with President Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to fund the federal government for the rest of the fiscal year. That includes the full funding for the IRS expansion. This 4,000-page end-of-the-year behemoth is a terrible bill on every level. It will add to the deficit, increase the size of government agencies and contains virtually no offsetting spending cuts. Senate Republicans are also preparing to…Continue Reading
