By DONALD DeMARCO When we think of the Fourth of July, we may very well think of two of the most illustrious signers of the Declaration of Independence: Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, who became America’s second and third presidents. On that same date in 1826, while the young country was celebrating the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson and Adams passed away.The Fourth of July weighed heavily on Jefferson’s mind.
