As Lawless Establishment Rules Arizona… Nation’s Bloody Social Collapse Comes From Leftist Toxicity

April 15, 2023 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

PHOENIX — Downtown shops and convenience stores from San Francisco to New York City are being forced to limit their hours or close because of the volume of losses right off the shelves.

Local customers see even simple, hand-size items being locked behind transparent cabinet doors lest they be carried off without payment, even blatantly right past cashiers. In addition to organized shoplifting.

Meanwhile, science-minded, “evidence-based” political leftists fervently believe that a person can be whatever gender she/he/it/they please, even choosing from dozens of variations instead of the well-known binary limitation of human existence.

For some reason, this doesn’t extend to people becoming high-flying birds or pressure-resistant ocean creatures that survive 8,000 feet below the waves merely because they believe they can. Because that would demand a provable ability rather than fantastical thinking.

Jump out of all the jetliners you please wearing just a swimsuit and flapping your arms at 35,000 feet, but the sincerity of your delusions won’t save your day.

Into this incomprehensible world born of years of left-wing nonsense, self-indulgence and narcissism we are supposed to believe that liberal political gun-grabbing from law-abiding citizens provides a logical answer to the bloodletting let loose around the United States these days.

Nope. The widespread end of self-discipline, moral standards, patience, and deferred gratification seeded through society has led to today, where willful people — their consciences deadened — grab either for a fattening candy bar or an assault rifle, whichever suits their mood.

This is not the basis for an enduring, self-sacrificing society and culture on their way up, but a weary, confused, self-deluding one on its way out.

It’s not that most Americans are culpable for the failings. But the ones with the levers of social control appear to have a death grip — from media propagandizing to political manipulation to vote falsification to judicial deception to enforced retribution.

People with traditional values who happen to be responsible gun-owners are less likely than ever to entrust their safety to protection by Joe Biden’s armed federal agents and woke military because it is through norms-destroying loons like Biden that society already has become so destabilized.

As this was written overnight on April 12-13, the two most recent mass shootings of innocent victims were on April 10 at a Louisville bank and March 27 at a Nashville Christian primary school. To say nothing of other firearms offenses here and there involving acquaintances, relatives, or strangers.

Asked to comment, Arizona-based conservative Republican political consultant Constantin Querard told The Wanderer on April 11: “It isn’t a surprise to watch people move away from moral values, their churches, and myriad decency standards, and then see crime rates increase, violent crime spike, our elected officials behave in increasingly immoral ways without consequence, and all the rest.

“Sadly, our society is seen as largely rewarding and bestowing celebrity on those who make these problems worse, while mocking or holding up for ridicule those who encourage us to do better and be better,” Querard said. “In time the pendulum may swing back, but it is going to be an increasingly unhappy time in the meantime.”

Mary Ann Kreitzer, who runs the Virginia-based Les Femmes — The Truth Catholic blog, told The Wanderer on April 11: “The left’s rhetoric and their actions are all geared to increasing violence against those with whom they disagree. Jane Fonda’s recent statement on The View encouraging the ‘murder’ of pro-lifers pretty much represents the default position of the Democrat Party.

“Chuck Schumer urged violence against Supreme Court justices,” Kreitzer said. “Many Democrat legislators call for harassment of their political enemies. Nancy Pelosi calls the violence ‘righteous anger.’ Democrats never condemn the attacks, which empower their supporters to continue and even escalate them.

“The left’s fingerprints were all over the Nashville and Louisville killings,” she said. “Once you throw God out of the picture, any evil is possible and the Democrats have gone from being the evil party to being the demonic party! We need to pray exorcism prayers for our protection, especially for our children, their main targets for corruption.”

Back in 2008 David Reinhard, a well-known conservative opinion columnist for The Oregonian, the Beaver State’s largest daily newspaper, announced he was leaving the paper because it no longer was his dream job to work there. He just got tired of being the loner in a hive of lefties.

And that was 15 calendar years ago, before dominant media so openly became the propaganda shill of the left.

On November 9, 2008, Reinhard wrote: “I want to be part of a team that shares a common goal and commitment. I want to work with folks who share my basic values. I no longer want to be the odd man out. I don’t want to start my mornings with a running argument about politics that I’ll almost invariably lose by virtue of the stacked numbers.

“Sad to say, today’s newspaper business is not that place,” Reinhard said. “Its fierce diversity efforts don’t seem to extend to broadening the range of acceptable opinions in the trade. So much ‘diversity,’ yet so much monolithic thinking.”

Regardless of whether journos are honest enough to admit it, it’s often the rule that the newsroom toils to please itself, not serve audiences beyond its walls. Whatever the news consumers around town may think, receiving happy grins in the newsroom and confirming its own prejudices, rancid though they may be, are the real satisfactions.

The blind leading the blind aren’t on a reliable path, but hey, if you can touch-type, you don’t need to see at all.

On April 6 high-profile attorney Alan Dershowitz told Sean Hannity’s national radio program that he thinks the judge in Donald Trump’s current felony case in liberal New York won’t allow a change of venue to a more balanced location because he’d be known as the judge who let Trump escape conviction.

Judges have friends and family, too, Dershowitz said, who use their influence and make their feelings known.

Dershowitz said his own New York friends believe Trump must be convicted, regardless of what must be done to the law, because they want Trump destroyed.

The New York Post quoted Dershowitz telling conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s program: “I don’t think that if you had the best lawyers in the history of the world — Abraham Lincoln and John Marshall — a New York City judge would dismiss this case, because that New York City judge’s life would be over.”

However, the Post said, a conviction could be tossed out on appeal.

Hobbs’ Veto Spree

The same determination to enforce a result prevailed here in Arizona, even though everyone saw the chaos on election day 2022 in populous Maricopa County to ensure that Trump-endorsed statewide Republican candidates lost to left-wing Democrats.

Just like the disastrous bad Catholic Joe Biden was shoved into the White House lest Trump be reelected in 2020, pathetic Democrat Katie Hobbs was ushered into Arizona’s governorship to exclude GOP nominee Kari Lake.

People simply are expected to ignore and forget the open hostility against these GOP candidates by the uniparty Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chairman Bill Gates and County Recorder Stephen Richer, who proceeded to preside over counting the votes.

Since taking office in January, Hobbs has been on a veto spree against the majority-Republican state legislature, reminiscent of the wave of rejections that left-wing Democrat Janet Napolitano cast during her time as Arizona’s governor during the first decade of this century.

An article at the left-wing AZ Mirror website on March 29 said Hobbs already had broken Napolitano’s first-year record. The story said: “Napolitano is the all-time leader for vetoes in Arizona history, notching 202 over her six-plus legislative sessions between 2003 and 2009, including 58 in 2005. (She resigned as governor in late January 2009 to join Barack Obama’s administration.)”

An April 12 story by Howard Fischer, of Capitol Media Services, said, “Hobbs already has surpassed Napolitano’s number of vetoes for her first year in office. As of Tuesday, she hit 43; Napolitano had just 17 for the whole session.”

Querard, the Republican political consultant, told The Wanderer on April 12 that Hobbs is “definitely on pace to beat her, but Napolitano tried to work with some of the Republicans back then. Hobbs and her campaign team have made the calculation that she will be well served to be seen as more partisan, which does seem counter to the mood of the entire country at this point.

“People want government to work, and just stamping ‘VETO’ on bill after bill just for the photo op exposes her as both partisan and potentially petty or mean, which is never a good idea,” Querard said.

Earlier on April 12, Querard discussed Hobbs’ extremism with conservative morning radio talk host James T. Harris (KFYI Phoenix, 550 AM). Harris said a lot of the vetoes killed bills that were bipartisan “or almost nonpartisan.”

Querard remarked that Hobbs is “very far left on abortion,” but he still was surprised that for someone who “barely won a close race” for governor, Hobbs vetoed a bill to require medical care for a baby who survives an abortion.

Other vetoes killed bills to make vandalizing a monument a crime, and to require a registered sex offender to notify a school district if he has legal custody of a minor, he said.

When she was a state legislator, Hobbs had virtually no success getting bills passed or signed into law, Querard said. Harris said this sounds like Hobbs’ “revenge tour.”

Other bills Hobbs vetoed included ones to forbid cities from taxing groceries, to provide religious exemption from vaccinations, to stop a person from erecting a makeshift shelter on a public right-of-way, and to increase the penalty for assaulting a woman that the attacker knows or has reason to know is pregnant.

Unthinkable And Inexcusable

The Scottsdale-based Alliance Defending Freedom issued a statement on April 6 saying Hobbs’ veto of the abortion-survivor’s bill shows she “would rather cater to the abortion industry than affirm the basic human rights of vulnerable children. Her failure to protect the lives of children once they are outside of the womb is unthinkable and inexcusable.”

In other news demonstrating the establishment’s determination to cover for its inserting Hobbs into the governorship, a retired state Supreme Court chief justice said her inquiry found nothing malicious to affect the result of the Maricopa County general election last November.

In January the very partial Maricopa County Board of Supervisors selected establishment figure Ruth McGregor to head the inquiry, whose result announced April 10 surprised no one.

Also, a Maricopa County Superior Court judge said on April 6 that he wouldn’t go forward with the execution of a confessed first-degree murderer whose death had been scheduled for that day.

As a way to enforce her personal views against capital punishment for serious criminals, the pro-abortion Hobbs pretended that Arizona needed to study its execution procedures while no executions would be performed.

Although the state Supreme Court issued a warrant for the execution, it then said Hobbs wasn’t required to carry it out.

After the family of the murder victim said it was being denied justice, Superior Court Judge Frank Moskowitz scheduled a hearing — which turned out to be an exercise in handwashing, passivity, and delay to ensure that Hobbs had her way.

Rest assured; people are taking notes about how lawless government oppresses them.

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.
