Candidate Brings Abortion Horror To U.S. Living Rooms

February 14, 2016 Frontpage No Comments

By REY FLORES

A couple of weeks ago, I told you about pro-life Democratic presidential candidate Henry Hewes and his campaign to place as many controversial pro-life TV ads in American living rooms as possible.
So far, Hewes managed to stir things up in the New Hampshire primaries where his ad was run locally during the national broadcast of Good Morning America the day before the elections. Never had local ABC affiliate WMUR received as many complaints about any ad in their history. The Hewes campaign, however, has gotten some positive responses by pro-lifers in that state.
Viewers, mostly parents, complained directly to the television station while others vented their anger directly at Hewes on his Facebook page. Most of the complaints were about viewers’ children being “traumatized” by the image of an aborted baby in Hewes’ ad.
In his defense, Hewes did not place the ads during Sesame Street or any children’s TV programming. Many of the complainers stated that because of inclement weather, their children were glued to their television sets waiting to hear the school closings report.
“You should be the one that needs to be aborted!” commented one surly woman, who claims her children are now having nightmares. Another gentleman in an ungentlemanly manner basically said that Hewes should be thrown in jail for running such disgusting ads during family programming times.
I’m not sure about you, but in my house, my children are never allowed to watch the garbage that’s aired on broadcast television or any kind of pay TV. Perhaps these parents should unglue their kids’ eyeballs from the TV sets and give them books to read instead — but I digress.
My question to these parents and their supposedly scandalized children is this: If you are repelled by such a horrible image of a dismembered baby, why aren’t you fighting against abortion instead of someone who is telling you the truth about the horror of it?
How stupid can people be? I imagine that people can be pretty stupid at times, but to attack the messenger instead of the abortionists is just as ridiculous as the courts going after “Planned Parenthood baby parts whistleblower” David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress instead of the butchers at Planned Parenthood.
I know that I have had things thrown at me, like water bottles and fast-food sandwiches, when I’ve participated in Face the Truth tours, with one ridiculous guy telling me that I was corrupting my then ten-year-old daughter who has been fighting against abortion since she was about six years old.
Hewes knows he isn’t likely to win the Democratic Party’s nomination for president, but Hewes does know very well that he has every legal right to air these controversial ads without any of the usual censorship from broadcast networks who tend to be pro-abortion, anyway.
Hewes is basically taking an idea that has been done before but not at this level, with the additional tools of social media involved as well. While Hewes’ original ad was pretty low-key, but did feature a photo of a dismembered baby, Facebook forced Hewes to either take down the video from his Facebook page or have the entire Facebook page shut down. This, of course, is the same Facebook that allows all sorts of pro-abortion and pro-homosexual postings on their powerful Internet platform.
What Hewes is doing is the TV version of the classic Face the Truth tours, which pro-lifers across America organize in their cities and towns in busy intersections where they will stand for hours with huge graphic photos of aborted babies.
The pro-lifers also distribute helpful printed literature to educate those who see their displays to learn more about the ugly truths about the abortion industry and the harm it does to our entire humanity.
The thing I also admire about Hewes is that despite his successes as a New York real estate businessman, he’s a down-to-earth person dedicated to the pro-life cause. Hewes has the means to retire somewhere with a margarita in some sunny beach in the tropics, but he sees his life’s purpose as doing the Lord’s work and doing everything to he can to end all abortion with absolutely no exceptions.
The people most bamboozled by the liberal progressive agenda and the Democratic Party are the exact same people being targeted by eugenicist institutions like Planned Parenthood and NARAL.
Of all the people in their party, are these the best candidates the Democrats can offer? A former first lady who is questionable at best in her seemingly derelict and negligent actions as former secretary of state, or a lifelong career politician who is an over-the-hill hippie who calls himself a socialist, loved by brainwashed college kids?
Both Clinton and Sanders are about as radical pro-aborts as you can get. These two fail to see the humanity of the unborn person and for that reason alone do not deserve to be elected dog catcher, let alone president of the United States.
Never mind the GOP candidates. That’s an entirely different story for another day.
I will say this, however. Aside from Hewes, what other politician of either party is putting his own money where his mouth is and bringing the horrible truth about abortion into America’s living rooms? Not a single one, period.
Hewes has absolutely committed himself to make a powerful impact with his ads in states where he is on the presidential primary ballot, including New Hampshire, Missouri, and Louisiana, as well as Puerto Rico. He is also looking to run the ads in Nevada, Colorado, Minnesota, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Wyoming, Guam, and the Virgin Islands.
If there is anything that you can do to help support Hewes to continue to place these ads on television stations across America, please visit his website at www.ElectHenryHewes2016.com/donate.
Together we can really send out a message that most Americans do not support abortion. and given the recent persecution of David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress, it’s high time we all put our money where our mouths are.

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.

Catholic, conservative, orthodox, and loyal to the Magisterium have been this journal’s hallmarks for five generations. God willing, our message will continue well into this century and beyond.
