Masters Of Word Tricks . . . Mario Cuomo’s Twists Survive Today With His Sons, NY Times, And Biden

May 27, 2021 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

CNN commentator Chris Cuomo ripped into Mississippi’s 15-week-baby pro-life law on May 17 that the Supreme Court agreed to review. Cuomo said the restriction caters to “the far-right, white-fright vote.”
Cuomo made sure to include the typical phony, brain-dead talking points that the issue is only “a woman’s right to control her own body,” and “most Americans want the Court to uphold Roe v. Wade.”
But the notion this was somehow a law for white supremacy was too astonishing.
Phoenix radio talk host Seth Leibsohn (KKNT, 960 AM) said on May 18 that Cuomo’s “rant” ignored how strongly such laws favor blacks.
Pointing out abortion clinics’ focus on minority neighborhoods, Leibsohn explicitly recalled that Planned Parenthood’s eugenicist founder, Margaret Sanger, ran an article in her magazine, the Birth Control Review, in 1933 by Ernst Rudin, the architect of Adolf Hitler’s sterilization program.
Leibsohn suggested that Cuomo and CNN read up on Sanger and eugenicist history.
Mentioning how many black babies had been aborted, Leibsohn said that Cuomo’s throwing in “white” was just an example these days of a word the political left uses to express its disapproval.
The Wall Street Journal editorialized, “It makes sense that the Court wouldn’t take the case merely to affirm the lower courts,” who had overturned it. ”But then only four justices are needed to take up a case, and no one outside the Court knows which Justices voted to take this one.”
Two of the nation’s high-profile, fangs-bared pro-abortion extremists, Chris Cuomo and his brother, New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo — who even celebrated “post-birth” abortion being enacted in the Empire State — can thank their weaselly bad Catholic father, former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo, for paving this road for them.
The elder Cuomo, derided as “Mario the Pious,” spoke at the University of Notre Dame back in 1984 to start explaining away the promotion of permissive abortion by a public figure who claims to be “personally opposed” to the slaughter.
Chris and Andrew at least can thank having their own lives spared by their father’s being opposed to having them killed — although countless other infants weren’t so lucky who were aborted outside the Cuomo family circle.
Even though other prominent Catholic Democrats of Mario’s time like Ella Grasso, governor of Connecticut, and Robert Casey, governor of Pennsylvania, were firmly pro-life, Mario was the tool that the pro-abortion establishment eagerly used to expand this fiction — that publicly prominent politicians can be both practicing Catholics and busy accomplices in the Culture of Death.
For years the callous Nancy Pelosi was the most conspicuous of this breed. But she has been displaced by bad Catholic and pretender president Joe Biden, who — despite his obvious impairments — never seems to tire of finding new ways to promote abortion and force taxpayers to fund it.
His media cheerleaders know better, though, than to focus on Biden’s abortion fanaticism or his physical and mental deterioration. An interesting specimen of this was an extensive story posted on May 14 by The New York Times that had not one, not two, but three byline names. Oh, how much detail the reporters got into — but how much they avoided.
This was a stratagem of taking two steps forward and one step back.
We even learned of Biden’s taste in ice cream. (Hark, just think back to last year when Pelosi declared her own delight in ice cream.)
Why, Joe Biden uses foul language, the story disclosed.
This was an angle played up by some on the conservative side, a revelation of a Biden failing.
However, the Times portrayed this as part of Biden’s in-command perfectionism. He supposedly wants to know all the options, all the facts, how ordinary people are affected, and he gets impatient when fallible aides aren’t prepared for Biden’s painstaking interrogation.
One must wonder why, if Biden is so intent on hearing all the facts and weighing all the options, he stays so far tilted to the left.
How many aides strongly reminded him of the injustice of tearing little babies apart by the millions, or poisoning them, or leaving them to die alone and shivering? Seems that a pretty solid case could be stated against that. But Biden of the encompassing curiosity heard not a word?
Or what about his planned radical-left earthquake for Washington, D.C., to seize control of how all the nation’s voting is conducted?
Or to cripple and punish the working class however his soulless bureaucrats desire? Joe cares about how ordinary Pennsylvanians are affected? Stick that in your vetoed pipeline and see if it tastes like smuggled-in fentanyl.
And despite his alleged perfectionism, does Biden not see his own alarming failings in the mirror as he continues declining mentally, physically, and morally?
How is he such a skilled interrogator when he can have trouble expressing coherent thoughts in public?
Remember his first — and only so far — formal press conference in late March, when Joe Biden, the man who has been around Washington, D.C., for nearly half a century, needed not only a seating chart of the reporters but also their photos, so he could make sure to avoid any potentially tough questioners.
As The Wanderer reported at the time, “Biden rambled around, lost his train of thought, told obvious lies, claimed that he was a good guy and a uniter while despising those who disagreed with his plans.” A straight-talker he’s not.
But the May 14 New York Times puff piece was as laughable as Biden himself as it claimed that his “reputation as a plain-speaking politician hides a more complicated truth. Before making up his mind, the president demands hours of detail-laden debate from scores of policy experts, taking everyone around him on what some in the West Wing refer to as his Socratic ‘journey’ before arriving at a conclusion. . . .
“Let’s talk plain English here, he will often snap,” the Times claimed.
The newspaper noted that as Biden heads for the Oval Office around 9:30 a.m., he is “often flanked by his German shepherds, Champ and Major” — but failed to note the speculation that these are his therapy dogs.
The Times said Biden had “lashed out” at his Health and Human Services secretary, Xavier Becerra. However, that had nothing to do with Becerra’s zeal for persecuting religious believers. Biden had questions about HHS’s “ability to take care of migrant children” — children who, other people will note, are in the U.S. only at Biden’s callous invitation.
Becerra’s reputation as a tough anti-religion lawyer, not a comforting doctor, is why Biden — and Barack Obama in the shadows — chose him.

Worried About This Country

Pundit Bill O’Reilly, guesting on Phoenix-based KFYI’s (550 AM) Russell & Hunter program on May 17, said Biden is the mob’s favorite president of all time because of how much drug trafficking they can do over the border.
O’Reilly, who has watched Biden for a long time, said he’s “not able to process information” as he once was. “I’m a little bit worried about this country,” O’Reilly added, because Biden does whatever he’s told to do.
Hardly the same image that the left-wing Times was pushing.
Another KFYI talk host, James T. Harris, agreed with O’Reilly, saying Biden “is less than one-dimensional.”
A May 12 video showed Biden forgetting House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s name shortly after seeing him. Biden scrunched up his eyes and said he was encouraged by the meeting “with uh — with uh — the uh — Republican leader in the House.”
But, claimed the Times in a different setting, Biden “grilled” one adviser. “Biden did not want to be spared any incremental detail.”
After such a hearty alleged workday, Biden still somehow manages to return to the White House residence by 7 p.m. for dinner, the newspaper told us, and he likes pasta with red sauce. Then maybe phone calls as late as 11 p.m.
What a workhorse! And we didn’t even get to read about what spurs Biden on to plan more evils for the nation and world, or whether he worries over his obvious weakness upsetting international relations.
When press secretary Jen Psaki was asked on May 18 about the widely acclaimed Abraham Accords that the Trump administration amazingly negotiated in the Mideast, Psaki shrugged them off, saying, “Well, again, I would say that we are not following the same tactics of the prior administration. . . .
“Aside from putting forward a peace proposal that was dead on arrival, we don’t think they did anything constructive, really, to bring an end to the longstanding conflict in the Middle East,” Psaki added — while terrorists who feel unleashed under the Biden administration rained missiles on Israel.
Even though Trump’s election victory in 2016 clearly was known only hours after the polls closed, he was denounced by Dem left-wingers for four years as an “illegitimate” president who won only through Russian “collusion.”
However, even though Biden wasn’t declared the winner for weeks after the 2020 election, while votes kept being manipulated and judges cowered in fright, the same left-wingers tell everyone to shut up, hail Biden as the victor, and don’t dare express any doubt over entrusting the nation’s future to the vision of his squinty eyes.

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.
