Rejecting Gender Craze . . . Time For “A Great Light” To Shine Through Today’s Prevailing Insanity

December 19, 2021 Frontpage No Comments

By DEXTER DUGGAN

Pondering the ills of humanity, we may focus on how the fall from grace in the Garden of Eden afflicted all of us with original sin. But wasn’t God disappointed, too?
Not in the sense that God has emotions like humans or otherwise is imperfect. But here He was, having created Paradise for His children, and Adam and Eve went right ahead and wrecked it for themselves and their descendants.
It hardly seems likely God beamed and thought, “Good job!” Would a father who just gave the keys to ten mansions to his kids shrug and think “Oh, darn” if the offspring blundered and burned them all down in short order?
Moreover, we know the Son of God seeks that we unite our sufferings with His and His mission of salvation. Jesus isn’t indifferent to our feelings and the way we form our lives.
We have temptations regardless of our status — no matter what we have or don’t have. The poor man may have sinful resentments and justifiably wish for improvement. But the rich man can have tugs toward, for instance, arrogance, pride, greed, malice, to name a few.
The man with no material worries very possibly might not begin the morning with cheerful gratitude and hopes to make the world a better place. He may, instead — thanks to the promptings of the Devil — think of whom he can get even with, cut down, lie to or outwit.
Or if another human being isn’t his target, he may think of objects that he can obtain unworthily, manipulate unethically, or employ misleadingly.
Is that why the well-off elite these days — at a time when demonic spirits obviously exercise prominent powers — dream up so much downright nonsense, and not only expect other people to agree with it, but quickly and unquestioningly accept these hallucinations as reality?
These self-deluded don’t get out of bed cheerily — thankful they have plenty to eat, spend, and wear — but look for invented grievances and imaginary injustices they can seethe against.
Not that grievance and injustice don’t exist in the world, but these folks — perhaps after inhaling a strong daily dose of fumes from the dominant left-wing fantasy “news” media — start boiling about the use of pronouns as a serious offense, or the necessity to impose men’s superior physical strength against women in women’s athletic competitions.
There’s a certain hierarchy of unassailable, “correct” values that must take priority — until they don’t. Anything done to “empower women” — even if that means slaughtering tens of millions of infants — must not be questioned. Until some goofy thought bubbles up that men can declare themselves to be “trans” women and thereby must reign over female athletes.
A similar hierarchy would be the Democratic Party’s insistence that it always stands up for blacks — as long as blacks consent to be treated as helpless victims who must be guided and saved by white Democrats. Except when the topic of permissive abortion comes along, at which time abortion’s destruction of the black community takes definite priority over black lives, which suddenly totally cease to matter.
Each of humanity’s two — not 25 or 48 — sexes has certain advantages and disadvantages, including men’s general superior physical strength. It’s not prejudice and backwardness precluding women from being professional football fullbacks against adult males.
But merely to mention this — like mentioning, for instance, that gravity is a force of nature — can get a person’s reputation or even job destroyed. It’s not that the issue has been debated, and the “trans” side has won, but that the issue has been declared beyond debate, lest its fallacies quickly be exposed.
For quite a while, a cozy establishment agreed to preclude inspection of its pieties. For instance, raising the debt limit was shoved through with such a silly excuse as, “We have to pay our bills.” That way, the limit always went up, not down. It was downright impolite to say, “We shouldn’t spend so much, so we wouldn’t have such huge bills.”
Imagine a teenager who managed to impersonate an adult and signed purchase paperwork for 20 sports cars, then insisted his father must cover the cost because “we have to pay our bills!” That nonsense has metastasized to the point that impaired Joe Biden and Jen Psaki outright lie that spending trillions of dollars costs “zero.” Why not get away with being brazen? It always worked before.
So now it reaches the point where reigning beliefs even extend to gender being just a personal preference that can be changed day by day.
Author Abigail Shrier has become a focus of fashionable hatred because she exposes trans-sexing for the dangerous fraud it is. She wrote the book Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters (Regnery Publishing).
As a guest on the national Travis and Sexton radio program on December 14, Shrier spoke about the inherent unfairness of men who think they’re women destroying women’s sports competition because liberals are afraid to defy this new orthodoxy. Women’s records aren’t being broken by fractions of a second but dozens of seconds.
Shrier also told of women at a California prison being terrified over men being put in the same cells with them.
The very reason there are prisons specifically for women is that any commonsense society recognized there must be restrictions between the sexes in some settings including sports, lavatories, and locker rooms. But as soon as some new “liberal” hallucination arises, everyone is supposed to forget any lucid thought on the matter.
The Wanderer asked three sources to comment.
National conservative commentator Quin Hillyer said: “No matter what the cultural left claims, reality remains reality. Biological men are men, not women. To deny that is to deny both science and common sense, not to mention, in many cases, to deny decency, too.
“Real women deserve to have their intimate spaces kept free from uninvited biological men, and they deserve the opportunity to compete athletically against people who enjoy no major biological advantages against them,” Hillyer said. “To say and do otherwise is unsafe and immoral.”
Northern California Catholic commentator Barbara Simpson said: “Male swimmer says he is a woman and the university accepts that. In prisons across the country, trans men are put into cells with ‘real’ women, with the not-unexpected sexual problems, leading to the not-unexpected lawsuits.
“This is all part of the move by the left to intrinsically change culture,” Simpson said. “They have captured the media and the so-called progressives and they buy into the idea that all traditional and realistic views of humankind are wrong and they are right.
“The tragedy is that they are infiltrating the schools and teaching this nonsense to our children, whose parents are too afraid to stand up against it. In this battle, traditionalists are close to losing,” she said.

The Real World

Mary Ann Kreitzer, who presides over the Virginia-based Les Femmes — The Truth Catholic blog, said:
“The left is insane. The evidence is clear. I remember when Pampers came out supporting Planned Parenthood. What a head-scratcher! Support a group whose success kills your customers? Insane!
“Murdering babies has always been insane,” Kreitzer said. “Children represent the future. A country that murders its children commits cultural suicide. That insanity required the denial of reality by claiming a woman carries a ‘blob of protoplasm,’ not a baby. But the insane culmination is homosexual and gender ideology. From denying the humanity of the baby, the left has moved to denying all reality.
“They pretend that women can marry women and men can marry men, that men (transgender women really) can be pregnant and that transgender men can compete fairly in women’s sports,” she said.
“Insane people don’t live in the real world. When a large percentage of a society accepts insanity as real, you know you are in big trouble,” she said. “I think the reason so many accept what is clearly untrue is because of sin. People want to believe — whatever — if it lets them do what they want. We are swimming in an ocean of evil!
“As Mary said at Fatima, mankind’s sin would bring on World War II,” Kreitzer said. “How much worse are we today? We make the early twentieth century look like paradise. What gives me hope is that ‘in the fullness of time’ at the height man’s malice, God sent a Savior.
“He personally saved Saul at the height of his evil persecution of the Christians and changed him into the Apostle to the Gentiles,” she said. “God never abandons us. He can restore us to sanity. That’s what I pray for every day. ‘The people in darkness have seen a great light.’ And that light can heal our insanity and make us whole.”

Now more than ever, vehicles like The Wanderer are needed for clarification and guidance on the issues of the day.
