The Collapse Of A Nation

August 24, 2022 Frontpage No Comments

By TOM TAKASH

The recent unprecedented raid of President Trump’s home, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., one that rivals Gestapo and NKVD immoral acts, should not shock anyone. The Cold War now raging in our country has slowly been heating up for over a half century. Unfortunately, a complacent and materially satisfied American public has closed its national eyes to the conflict, refusing to confront serious moral and political questions for fear of losing its comfortable lifestyle. We’ve been “winners,” and few wanted to upset the status quo.
The United States of America had survived the Civil War in spite of losing over 600,000 lives. It had weathered the First World War, the Second World War, the Korean Conflict, and continued interventions in the Middle East. It had become known as the “Leader of the Free World,” but beneath that proud façade, an ugly virus was slowly engulfing the country.
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, during a period of unparalleled economic prosperity, there emerged a generation of pampered college-aged idealists. Spurred on by radical “academics” like clinical psychologist Timothy Leary, whose weird philosophy and infantile advice of “turn on, tune in, drop out” and “think for yourself and question authority” appealed to their restless and pointless lives. Using “recreational drugs” of the day (marijuana, cocaine, LSD, etc.), living in communes, and ridiculing anyone over 35 became commonplace as long-held norms were falling by the wayside.
Love of country, hard work, marriage, family, and Judeo/Christian values seemed quaint and old-fashioned to a generation of beatniks and their progeny, the hippies, who are now the corrupt professors in our alleged schools of higher education. Among them are Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers, two leaders of the radical Weather Underground revolutionaries, who became “esteemed” instructors at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago, respectively.
With the rejections of those values there inevitably followed a major obstacle to their new-found freedoms: children. The responsibility that came with babies clashed with everything these lost souls were enjoying, and although they embraced the anti-family philosophy of contraception, the darned thing often failed them. What could one do? Well, since the resultant child was unplanned and unwanted, it made sense to the irresponsible to dispose of it! Abortion could clear up the difficulty. No need to grow up!
The only problem was that many states interfered with that solution. The decadent joys of freedom from responsibility were being challenged by state regulations. This called for action. Planned Parenthood and other “enlightened” organizations began challenging the abortion regulations in courts throughout the country. The result, of course, was the fabricated victory of Roe v. Wade. Sensing increased support for its agenda, the Democrat Party jumped in with both feet and became the proud party of death, not merely acknowledging the “right,” but aggressively promoting it!
As if the abomination of legal abortion was not enough, the breakdown of our moral compass has led to the acceptance of one evil after another. Since marriage no longer included the need for children, the least we could do for “other couples” was to grant civil unions for the hitherto deprived homosexuals. That quickly became a cause célèbre for the “progressives.” Not to worry, they were not asking for marriage, just the special privileges (tax benefits, and so on) that married couples were receiving. However, once that was achieved, since they had recognition as a couple, they immediately questioned why they were being deprived of “legalizing” their love for each other? And to further degrade the family, same-sex couples are now adopting children. (Do you think these satanic goals may have been their plan all along?)
Realizing that fighting for marriage in the 50 states would be a near impossible task, why not bypass the normal process and use the increasing powers being usurped by the courts? It worked, and on June 26, 2015, a majority of the Supreme Court in an opinion authored by Justice Anthony Kennedy, a Catholic who had previously favorably participated in pro-gay-rights and pro-abortion cases, found a “hidden” right to marriage for same-sex couples, effectively redefining the institution of marriage as it was known since God created Adam and Eve.
Powerful politicians like Nancy Pelosi, the current speaker of the House of Representatives, and many other “Catholic” representatives and senators mainly concerned about retaining power, who had already quickly rejected Church teaching on abortion, now found no problem backing the dismantling of marriage between one man and one woman. As if the collapse of our country wasn’t happening fast enough, a whole segment of our population was now going into overdrive to speed it up! How long will it be until polygamy is protected by our federal government?
But hold on! What about creative ideas to stem our runaway inflation, and make life easier for struggling families? Well, one “progressive thinking” Democrat, Katie Porter, a California member of the House of Representatives, recently voiced a rather imaginative reason to justify increasing abortions.
While appearing on Lawrence O’Donnell’s MSNBC show, The Last Word, Cong. Porter expressed her concern about inflation, and out of her deep feelings for American families who may find it difficult to feed their families, she suggested abortion could enable them to manage their budget better. What a great proposal, Katie! How about we go one further? Why not abort our unborn and kill some that we already have, then we could not only have more food, but maybe get that electric car that will help the environment! A creepy idea, but a financially sound one, that is, if you enjoy killing children.
A sad illustration of the abortion mentality that is pervasive in our country is a current case in Nebraska that bans abortions after 20 weeks. A mom and her 17-year-old daughter are accused of burning and burying the daughter’s 23-week-old unborn child. Court records indicate that the mother obtained abortion pills for her daughter, who stated that she couldn’t wait to get the “thing” out of her body. The child was then still born and disposed of. The reversal of Roe is a first step, but undoing the damage of almost 50 years of hatred for are innocent unborn will need education, prayer, and God’s grace.
And as if our decay was not complete, our trusted media, our educators, our government agencies, and a portion of our medical community have now concluded that men can become women, and women can become men? This nonsense has quickly penetrated to the highest levels of our private institutions and our government agencies. And let us not be confused by outdated language, either. Women don’t just have babies anymore. Persons do. Moms aren’t Moms either. They’re birthing parents! And Maternity Leave applies to everyone now. No more discrimination in that area.
One floundering former mayor of a tiny town in the Midwest, who suddenly became an expert in movement of people and products nationwide, was named our secretary of Transportation, and then almost immediately took maternity leave at the height of a transportation crisis. Thanks for the insightful appointment, Mr. Biden. We really needed Pete Buttigieg! And just in case some of us are still confused about the new gender-bending trend, our government recently promoted Rachel Leland Levine, alias Richard Leland Levine, to a four-star admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. That should strike fear in the hearts of the Chinese Military.
What’s next? Well, our children of course. It turns out that largely unbeknownst to parents around the country, our elitist educators together with the powerful teachers’ unions long ago had concluded that parents should not only not decide what they will be teach in our public schooling system, but should not be consulted, and they often mislead parents regarding the school curriculum. After all, why do parents need to know?
And what are they “teaching” our children, or can we even call it teaching? Perhaps a better word would be indoctrinating. Learning what passes for education in the classroom, in turns out, is not easy. Recent parent attendance at school board meetings has been revealing. The arrogance of boards, members and their dictatorial conduct when challenged by parents has been shocking. Closing board voting on important matters from the parents, failing to recognize parents who wish to speak, and having angry parents removed from the meetings or even arrested is not a rare occurrence.
Revelations of what is happening in schools throughout the country is almost unbelievable. Stories of teachers cross-dressing and promoting confusion among children as young as five or six as to their sexual identity are becoming common place. One particular school, it has been revealed, has a closet containing boys’ and girls’ clothes that are available allowing the young children to change into the clothes of their opposite sex while at the school. That way a parent would not know that his or her child was experimenting with, and possibly considering, changing his or her gender identification. Even though disgraceful conduct in our schools is being exposed by concerned parents, teachers have been threatened with dismissal if they refuse to call a child by his or her preferred gender, regardless of the child’s true sex.
Not to be left out of the attack on our nation’s future, Planned Parenthood is approaching school boards around the country requesting permission to have on-site clinics on campuses. In a recent notice, the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District announced that at the next meeting of the board regarding John Glenn High School in Norwalk, Calif., a vote would be taken on a proposal to allow Planned Parenthood to open and operate a reproductive health care clinic on school property. Abortions and gender-affirming hormone therapy were not listed as services that would be provided at the on-campus clinic, but staff would be permitted to make referrals to other Planned Parenthood centers for services not offered at the school.
The clinic could write prescriptions, including contraceptives, and could provide the insertion of non-surgical long-acting reversible contraceptives, including IUDs. (What about “morning after pills” and other prescriptions that cause an abortion?) No word on parental involvement was mentioned in the notice. However, concerned parents did learn of the proposal and staged a protest the night that the plan was to be considered, and the board postponed the vote. They did not reject the proposal, just put it off!
It’s fortunate that some parents and newly elected local officials are fighting back and challenging school boards and teachers’ union, but removing these entrenched and connected bureaucrats is a difficult and costly battle. A few states are even offering alternative programs allowing parents to pull their children from public schools and send them to other privately run schools, including Catholic schools, using state education funds to finance tuition at those schools.
But those who have worked so hard to hasten our collapse will not be deterred by small victories on our part. One only has to read The New York Times or The Washington Post or turn on the major network and cable news to realize that the left is angrier than ever. Their recent loss in the Supreme Court on abortion is a “call to arms” for them. Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, and their cadre of robots are trying everything conceivable in the legal system to come out on top again. They were so close to complete destruction of our nation, only to have five “right-wing religious fools” pull us back from the brink! They must have revenge.

Mixed Messages

With regards to Biden, Pelosi, and the many “Catholic” representatives and senators who flaunt their support for abortion, the most important question is: Can we count on the support of our Church to influence and perhaps bring them back to the truth? Well, with bishops like Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, and those who have come out supporting him in his courageous call for Pelosi’s repentance, we have some hope. But where is the universal support? Where is Pope Francis, who not so long ago, welcomed with open arms both Biden and Pelosi in Rome and apparently did not object to either one receiving the Eucharist?
Our Pope could go far in stopping the complete collapse of our nation, if he would step up and call out the scandal these two are causing every day, but he has been conspicuous with his silence. With a clear and unequivocal condemnation of their pro-abortion and pro-same sex marital support, he just might achieve both the salvation of their souls and cause a reinvigorated effort on the part of our nation’s 71,000,000 Catholics to save our country.
Sadly, he recently sent mixed messages regarding Nancy Pelosi’s continued stubborn support of death for our unborn. On the one hand, he still condemns abortion, comparing it to “hiring a hit man,” but then when asked specifically about Nancy Pelosi being barred from Communion in her home parish, but still receiving it in Washington, D.C., he responded with: “When the Church loses its pastoral nature, it causes a political problem. That’s all I can say.”
Really? That’s all our Pope can say? A political problem? What about a problem of an individual committing an objective mortal sin for the whole world to witness? One that could result in the loss of her soul. Is it not most important to try and save her soul, and to stop the scandal it is causing to Catholics and Christians around the world? Is this not at least as important as being pastoral?
Here in the United States we are watching the death of our nation. Meanwhile, the only president who has had the courage to act against the murder of our unborn and not just talk about the evil of abortion, is vilified by our shameful media, viciously assaulted by a rogue government, and hated by those who would slaughter our unborn and destroy family life, the most precious gift from God.
The final collapse of America, and with it, the collapse of Western Civilization is upon us. We need the authority that follows true papal leadership, not false pastoral gestures. Our bishops need that support from Rome. Our children are under demonic attack in our schools. Satan is delighted with our educators.
We urgently need the backup of all of our clergy. The entire Church must take a stand against those Catholics who have rejected the firm teaching of the Church. Without that support, our nation is doomed, and those who cry: “Hail Satan” outside our abortion mills and worship the demise of family life will prevail, at least until God steps in.
